About The Butterfly and The Pig
We take pride in making basic foods, delicious and well presented; from the humble burger, served with home made mayonnaise and hand cut chips to our signature ‘open’ fishcake dish, presented in a Le Creuset pan, packed with potato and salmon, and a creamy egg oozing through.
The unique interior of the Butterfly and the Pig is best described as welcoming, shabby chic, vintage country. Our mismatched furniture and wallpaper give the Butterfly and the Pig a real comfort during the daytime, while eclectic resident bands and DJs ensure a more lively atmosphere later on.
The ambiance of the Butterfly and the Pig makes for a pleasant haven from the hustle and bustle of the street; somewhere to enjoy a quick lunch and a drink, or a leisurely dinner. Our food is excellent quality and prepared fresh on the premises every day.
Cute and happening place in Glasgow
Nice setting, delicious cakes especially the scones
Awesome Placebo, good food :)
After noon tea with cousin. Good.selection of sandwiches and cakes. Good quantity of sandwiches plenty for 2 people. Lovely cakes and delicious scones. Only criticism was the bread was a bit dry especially the crusts. Felt it maybe had been left out too long. I usually love crusts but left these as they were a bit too dry. As it was a weekday place was quiet, but service was friendly and extra tra and.coffee not a.problem.
Lovely lunch great value for money, delicious food and great service.
The staff were gorgeous. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was cosy. Mx👄
The afternoon tea is absolutely delicious!
A good surprise!
Great traditional food. Good Value for money
Although busy & noisy, service food & atmosphere great as always. Love coming here if I’m in Glasgow
Loved my gluten free fish and chips, a real treat. Thank you.
Service was excellent and one off the meals was superb unfortunately the steak was inedible (lot of gristle, and tasteless) my wife didn’t want me to say anything which in fairness didn’t give the restaurant the opportunity to do anything about it.
The staff were fabulous
Thank you We had a voucher following a previous difficult experience. This time we had lovely hearty food and drinks above and beyond the voucher. Great service. Have recommended to friends and colleagues.
Food was generally good but some tough meat in the steak pie. Gave the service a score of 1 as I had to pay a thirty pound deposit to book a table for a party of six and the deposit wasn't taken off the final bill before being presented. We were hosting friends from Canada and it was embarrassing having to raise the error.
We hadn't been here in a while and thought that the success of the place might have eroded the quality. We couldn't have been more wrong. Fantastic food, friendly staff, good music. Highly recommend this place!
The Butterfly n Pig is our go to place when we are in Glasgow. The food is always top notch and just reading the menu brings smiles. The pork belly is a total yum tum fest... N the peas with bacon in his nibs fish n chips.. great flavours all round.... and the cranachan cheesecake was so blooming more ish... love this place.
Everything was great. Only slight disappointment was I thought that the fishcake was the big one that came in its own frying pan. I should have known by the price so my fault. The slice of peach and yoghurt cake more than made up for it. My friend loved her fish finger sandwich.
We travel to Glasgow regularly from Newcastle to see family and friends and every trip includes at least one trip to the Butterfly and pig. The food and service are always 5+star Our visit w/ending September 1st was to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and my 65th birthday and we could not have been treat better. Hope to return soon and also to include a visit upstairs for afternoon tea, although due to the size of portions we will not visit both restaurants on the same day !!! Thank you to everyone and looking forward to our next trip, probably Christmas/ New Year
Delicious food and fantastic service! My friend and I often have headaches about where to eat out as between us we suffer from coeliac disease and a life threatening peanut allergy. But no headaches this time around! The staff were very helpful in their recommendations, double checked everything with the kitchen and brought any allergy concerns to us for discussion. I cannot stress how reassuring it is when restaurant staff (waiting and kitchen!) do this. It really drives it home that allergies are being taken seriously and not just "noted". Congratulations guys, not only were you all extremely friendly but you definitely made two food-awkward customers very happy. We've spent many a night drinking at the Butterfly and Pig over the years and will certainly be spending many more eating there from now on!
Brilliant service and lovely food as always. We love coming here before going to the kings, sets a nice atmosphere.
Nice restaurant with awesome service, have a good time with friend here.
The food was yummy but I prefer more cakes than sandwiches for ‘afternoon tea’. As I was the visitor in Point A Glasgow Hotel, the staff of hotel recommended your restaurant to me and said I can have 10% discount for dining by showing the A List Card. I showed that card to the waitress, but she denied that card and no discount could be offered.
Prosecco afternoon tea was excellent
