Best steak house in glasgow by far. Come over from belfast and visit every time. Never a let down
Top quality as always. Food was incredible. Slight issue with our dessert that was rectified instantly. Highly recommend and we will be back.
Would highly recommend this place. Great service and really good steak.
Amazing meal out and staff were lovely and happy to help. Also took our gift voucher as wasn’t able to use in 2020 due to Lockdown Will definitely be back again soon
Our waiter was Kevin, amazing service from start to finish. Food was perfect! Will definitely be back!
Nothing special. Pork cheek starter at £11 was an absolute rip off. £100 for a meal for 2 with no alcohol is very expensive. Won’t be returning
Service first class and good superb. First time visiting and certainly won’t be the last!
Meal was okay but nothing special. Have had better steaks in other Glasgow steak resteraunts. . Service from staff was good and friendly.. Difficult to rate atmosphere fully with COVID_19 restrictions.but staff service and was good.
Our drinks order was forgotten about so there was quite a delay on them arriving after we asked again - not a massive issue and staff were lovely. A table of young guys were seated at the booth behind us and had clearly been drinking outside before coming in to eat. They unfortunately were incredibly loud, banging on the table and making crude comments using foul language. That coupled with the music being turned up made it difficult to enjoy a conversation. They also wandered around quite a bit with masks either under their nose/ chin or just not at all. Had chosen this venue as a first outing post covid with my parents who are rather nervous about normal life resuming. Having visited between lockdown and level 4 last year we chose The Butchershop as we felt very safe Covid wise - unfortunately it wasn’t quite as well managed this time, I feel that those customers should have been approached regarding their behaviour - it was definitely noticed by several staff members.
The servers were really friendly and knowledgeable & the service was speedy. The steak was a bit underdone, but still tasted good.
Excellent service and food!
Staff are brillant big thanks to Andrew too.
Amazing service and the best food!
Amazing food as usual. Only slight fault this time was the steaks were left a little too long to rest and were a little cold. Garlic butter sauce was very hard and because the temperature of the steak did not melt. Small issue and not up to the usual high standards we expect as frequent customers of the butcher shop. Still a great meal and will be back soon.
Second time for us once again outstanding food and great sevice
Great food excellent service
Excellent value for money. Looking forward to the 23rd. May for the Sunday Roast , when hopefully we will be able to have a bottle of wine with the lunch. NOTE: Drink score is low because unable to purchase alcohol. SORRY
Never disappointed. Friendly and very helpful staff Food delicious as always Can't wait to return
food and staff were great as always, will be back soon.
totally disappointed in my meal was really looking forward to a steak as not had 1 in so long i always rave about this place say its my fave but bread came had to cut it yourself so thats annoying especially with a blunt knife but the bread was good so didnt mind too much butter was rock solid just out fridge ripped all my bread trying to spread it ..fillet steak was terrible hate when they butterfly it and dont ask u was very chewy looked like a cheap steak u would cook yourself and tastless same with sauce was really watery mushrooms were just okay ( usually amazing ) chips were undercooked and my can of juice was warm glass had the 2 smallest bits of ice ever ...over all was terrible felt rushed we were in and out in 40min totally put me off now ... im just hoping it was an off day and fact they have only been open again for 1 week
Great place 💯💯💯💯be back great service and food was amazing 🤩
Whilst the food was nice, I found it puzzling that the server told me it wasn't possible to serve a Chateaubriand medium but with no blood pouring out - as this is how I cook my chateaubriand at home. Allowing enough rest time would ensure no blood would be present, but tender pink meat remains - however, I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir. We were served a well-done chateaubriand, not pink in the centre for £65. The macaroni & cheese was extremely strong, almost offputting unless you like blue cheese - suggestion that this is stipulated on the menu as a lot of cheese lovers simply do not enjoy blue cheese. None of this was eaten. The servers were nice - however our table seemed to be completely out of sight of ALL passing servers, as it continually took a long time to get anyone's attention. Furthermore, when seated outside, it took around 15 minutes to get a menu, and a further 15 minutes to get the drinks we had ordered, which followed our desserts (eaten without a drink). Soft drinks - which are all that can be enjoyed at the moment - were completely flat. Asking the server if these were draught or bottled (as advertised) we were told these were draught and certainly much less than the 330ml detailed on the menu - we instead swapped the flat Coca Cola & Diet Coke for sparkling water. Overall it was a slightly above average meal out, but for £145 - we won't be rushing back.
Great meal and service will book again
