About Brutti Compadres
Nestled in a small, secretive courtyard in the historical area of Glasgow’s Merchant City, Brutti Compadres is built on the site of the original tobacco exchange.
Our cafe bar serves all day food, continental draught lagers, great wines, inventive cocktails and fine italian coffee. We aim to provide our customers with tasty small plates of mediteranean holiday style flavours. All this served to you by naturally friendly, helpful staff in our soft industrial, mediteranean style cafe bar.
I felt sorry for the staff on Friday. They seemed rushed off their feet and were trying their hardest to keep up. My parents ended up missing their train as we waited so long for the bill and had to chase numerous times. Your staff are an asset...it just seem you need more of them.
Excellent service from all the staff despite being surprisingly busy due to good weather, kept updated regularly and always with a smile and a laugh. Food was exceptional, portion sizes are very generous.
Great laid back restaurant
Great choice of food and good atmosphere
Fantastic place to eat and drink, staff are so friendly and always have a smile. One of our favourite places to visit when in Glasgow.
Service was outstanding and food was even better, staff were very attentive and friendly, we ordered from the Small Plates section and we all enjoyed every bit. Would highly recommend.
Lovely service and delicious food
Always great in Brutti. Food, atmosphere and entire team are superb. It’s a regular favourite for me. Thank you!
Good atmosphere and delicious food

Great place to spend the evening Lovely tasty food Fabulous staff jim is always so welcoming Love the vibe in Brutti Compadres
Great atmosphere with fantastic food and extremely helpful staff which just adds to the experience and in my opinion and the food is great value in terms of price We will definitely be back
Absolutely fabulous as always. I didn’t like the hazelnut martini but that was down to personal taste, nothing wrong with the drink. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgable and witty. Wonderful experience. I’ll be back soon.
Love this place , we visit it on every trip to Glasgow . Food is delicious and staff friendly , ! Great restaurant , Well worth a visit !
Great venue, very dog friendly and Sally is great.
Always good. Food was awesome
Incredible place with amazing staff
Staff were very friendly and helpful and food was very good. Being seated at the table next to the front door on a chilly afternoon was a bit uncomfortable, however.
Great vibe and good food
Great, friendly staff. Fabulous atmosphere.
Staff were friendly and efficient even having our table in fits of laughter with their cheeky banter.
Always a friendly welcome from well trained and attentive staff. Great choice of food in first class surroundings.
Fabulous food, service, atmosphere and banter!
Service was very poor on this occasion. Our plates were cleared at 3:50 and no-one. And back to the table at all asking if we wanted dessert or more drinks. We asked for the bill at 4:30 and had to ask again 10 minutes later. The bill was also incorrect as we had been charged for extra items. You lost out as a table of 4 women we would have ordered at least another 2 rounds had you bothered to ask
Hubby and I popped in for lunch. Had 2small plates each to share and a glass of wine. All fab as usual.
