About Broken Dock
We're independently run, we cook our entire menu ready to order and we source our ingredients locally around Bristol. Basically, we care about quality and longevity here, and within Bristol's ever-changing and competitive standard of dining we learned along the way how to endure and stand out. We've been through it all!
Come and lounge with us along the water, overlooking the S.S Great Britain & Ashton Court and find out why we have the ideal space to simply relax with the highest standard of dining on offer. Whether you're brunching with us in the day, dining at night or trying our award-winning Sunday Roasts, we've got you covered here.
it was a bit cold an quiet on the night we attended hence may not reflect how buzzy the place could be on a busy night? may have made a difference?
see email already sent but thanks for excellent food, polite but engaged service - smiles and helpfulness all round - and for making our Christmas lunch an occasion we really enjoyed. We hope to see you again next year.
A lovely little restaurant with excellent food and nice buzzy atmosphere.
Great delicious food
So warm friendly and welcoming! LOVE THIS PLACE! Jem the manageress makes you feel like family as soon as you enter! Food is outstanding would recommend to anyone! All other staff are friendly and sociable. We will be back.
food very good but a little bit pricey for what it was
Food was amazing! One of the best roast dinners in Bristol! Service was fast and very polite. Family on another table was very loud and noisy but other than that we had a lovely time.
The meal we had, ox cheeks, was very good but the bowl it was served in made it difficult to eat, especially cutting the chard. The meal itself was well cooked, but a little too generous. It was certainly value for money. The atmosphere wasn't helped by us being the only diners for much of the time. The staff were friendly and helpful.
One of the best Roasts in Bristol! Big portions great service comfy atmosphere
Fabulous place, great staff and friendly management
Lovely food, lovely service, lovely place
The food and drinks were perfect, however a little disappointed that even though we had booded for a fixed time and we arrived on time, we had to wait 20 minutes for a table, when it came time to pay, the girls were gaving problens with the card machine. 7/10, could do better. we will be back, good food.
Absolutely fantastic! My new favourite restaurant. The food - Unbeatable! We are all foodies and were seriously impressed. The loveliest service from the fantastic staff and a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Already been back since and have made another booking with friends who’s first time at the Broken Dock! Thank you so much guys - you’re really special :-)
One of The Best Sunday Lunches in Bristol then there's the buzzy vibrant Harbourside Setting with the Sun beating down , can't think of anywhere else I would rather be on a Sunny Sunday Afternoon
Lovely venue. Wonderful service.
The food was amazing and there was a great choice on the menu. I will definitely be back and recommend to friends.
Visited Broken Dock on number occasions breakfast & lunch. Food has always been extremely good so much so I have invited my family to a roast Sunday lunch on my 60th birthday where else ! Hope the weather allows us to “ walk off “ lunch.
Brilliant staff, lovely relaxed atmosphere and delicious food and wine. What more could you ask for?!
The place itself is nice, and the service is friendly, but unfortunately, the food wasn’t at the same level.
The food was delicious, the best Sunday Roast we’ve had! Lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back!
Fabulous experience made all the better by the new general manager. Friendly knowledgeable and bubbly! I will definitely be back the fish and chips were the best I have ever had and the kitchen were so accommodating for my friends tomato allergy and my mums gluten intolerance!
Sorry to say I’ve rated it lower than before me and my family have been coming here for quite some time as it was all of our favourite Sunday lunch. All of us noticed the food standard was down all three meats were fatty and potatoes hard . Also I could not pay in cash which is the way I prefer old fashioned I know but surely I should still be given the choice to pay in legal tender . Shame but we will need to look for a new favourite place for Sunday lunch.
We had a great experience at Broken Dock. The Sunday Roast platter was amazing. This was the best roast we have ever had and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back and have already recommended to friends. 10/10 ☺️
Stuffed cauliflower was bloody delicious and SO generous with the gravy! Would 100000% go again
