Lovely place and the staff are very nice and friendly x
This is the first time we have eaten at Bridge St since the management change. I would have to say that while the food has remained equivalent, and my partner was most excited by gluten free fish and chips!! The service is not quite as local and homely as it used to feel. As for the Christian soft rock soundtrack that was playing, it really did not seem to go with the surrounds. Also noted that the steak has been removed from the Groupon menu which was a disappointment. All in all a nice evening, with good food but some of the previous charm seems to be missing.
Consistently good now under new management.
We went for afternoon tea with bottomless prosecco. The 2 hours of drinks is very good and worth every penny however I was slightly disappointed with afternoon tea.
1st visit. Really enjoyed the afternoon tea, lovelt restaurant. The staff were great. Will definitely go back.
Fabulous food! Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Offer of different teas would have been better but
Fantastic afternoon tea! The restaurant is really beautifully decorated and very modern. We were presented with our afternoon tea which had a selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. It was delicious and presented beautifully. We also had a glass of prosecco each. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend! Will be back for dinner.
Very welcoming, nice background music. Bread with the pate too hard and fish & chips very well done even burnt! Dessert was nice!
We booked the private dining area for my mums birthday, easy to book and team were really helpful. Service was slightly lacking - few food orders wrong/forgotten but was quickly corrected by the staff. All staff were very attentive and always on hand if someone wanted a drink. Overall everyone mentioned how lovely the food they received was. Great place for a meal or any event. Really impressed - thank you for accommodating and making it a special meal.
The waiter was very very attentive and charming. However I was really disappointed in the food this time. The sandwiches were uninteresting and the cakes were dry and unappealing. Having had their afternoon tea here before which was lovely, it had definitely gone downhill.
Had to ask for table to be cleaned. Which was done promptly by I presume manager who was helpful. However asked a waitress for bill and it never came so had to ask manager. I do think there were a lot of trainees working. That's what it looked and felt like. Service could be alot better
Attended Bridge Street for afternoon tea, lovely service, well priced and very accommodating. Thank you all
lovely setting great food highly recommend. Have been several times for afternoon tea
Food was lovely with adequate portion sizes. Chocolate brownie slightly dry - needed a creamy sauce but otherwise very nice.
Very good service and tasty food xxxx
Very basic afternoon tea. Unfortunately the cakes were very dry x
Very nice evening, food good and service. Surprised to see a Saturday evening not very busy ??
Beautiful setting, friendly atmosphere but the service and food was a let down on the day, will have to give the afternoon tea another try possibly to see if we just got a bad day. Overall we had a lovely afternoon but the food was mediocre and service extremely slow. We were missing items and some of the deserts weren’t that nice, dry and tasteless ( considering they were gluten free they could of been fab, try switching the gf flour in the lemon cake to polenta, and the brownies to chocolate merguine brownies and it could be amazing.
Very tasty thank you!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Afternoon tea delicious!
Went mid week, got amazing service, very attentive - the gentleman waiters went above and beyond for my partners birthday.
Efficient service, friendly atmosphere. Nice seating for our party of 22. Certainly recommend and will go back.
The main courses and the wine were good but the desert, creme brûlée, was rather stodgy. Generally a good experience though, would go back.
