About Brickhouse Social
The “BrickHouse Social” on New Wakefield Street is to be the latest addition to Oxford Road’s bustling neighbourhood. What was once named the “worst street in Manchester” is now home to a social second to none.
Be it starting your day at the “brew bar” on our roof-top terrace, to a cheeky game of pool over lunch before wrapping up for the day with a cocktail or pale ale and kicking back with our live acoustic. Sliding into Saturday with bottomless brunch in the sunshine before bringing in the Sunday chills after a night in our underground club & event space!
From coffee co-operative to live music lounge with cafe cocktails & carafes. From tap room & pool hall to fresh plates from our kitchen and beats from our basement this is a house for all.
No student drinks available. No food available. 1hr wait for drinks
Booked in for the “Halloween special” bottomless brunch, after being heavily advertised as a “drag themed with performances” we were told upon arrival that this wasn’t possible due to COVID (even though it was being advertised up to a the day before as there being drag performances) We then waited 15 minutes for our first drinks order to be taken, after I had to go and find someone to take our order, which raised the question on how long it would take if I didn’t. The pizza took over an hour into the 2 hour slot to arrive, however this was very nice. Unfortunately however, nice pizza isn’t enough to make up for the experience. Wouldn’t go here again.
Booked us in for 4pm and when we arrived we were told they weren’t going to open until 6
Poor service. Waited 2 hours for food and drinks. Lack of attention to guests. The pizza wasn’t good very average.
The brunch was advertised as a Halloween special. I expected the place to be decorated with Halloween inspired items. There was no decor to suggest Halloween which I thought was a shame. The waiter was lovely and did make us feel super welcome.
Amazing service, food was on point and was made to feel very important. Overall very impressed.
Amazing staff constantly topping up our drinks pizza was okay, however little disappointed as was promised a DJ.. just songs playing from member of staffs phone
I know covid prevents the music volume but at the start we could hear the 90s music half way through it was too low. I’m sure once all this is over the 90s brunch would be 10/10 Service was brill Pizza was sooo nice
Really good service and atmosphere
Absolutely loved it! I booked the bottomless brunch to celebrate my birthday. It was lovely to have DJs playing music - something that wouldn’t normally be such a big thing, but with everything going on at the moment it was a pleasant surprise. Pizza was delicious and we definitely made the most of our 2hrs of drinks. We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was great. Already thought about going back. Thank you for a fab day!
Really nice place for brunch.
We had a lovely time at Brickhouse Social. The roof terrace was really pretty. The pizzas at the bottomless brunch were delicious, the service was great, and the deal was good value. The only thing that could have been better was the toilets.
It qas very good but was surprised that pizza was the food option as this was not advertised. Also none of the 90s things other than background music.
We pre booked a table for 4 here for Saturday evening having never been before. We were sat upstairs so can't comment about the other floors but we loved it. Loved the music, the server was very helpful, great atmosphere and it's partly exposed to the outside which was great for a bit of fresh air.
Very nice inside, good prices for drinks, good chilled night
Poor social distancing Did not feel comfortable and wouldn't recommend
Thankyou for making my 21st birthday very special 🥰
we made a reservation as part of an evening for my daughters 21st birthday to sit in the rooftop garden as it had a good review on an email I received, we arrived to be told it wasn't open in the week and it wouldn't be opened for us, luckily my son and daughter loved pool so enjoyed pool but it was a shame as it was a lovely evening!
Great room to cater for us, amazing pizzas!
Great space, cool garden upstairs. Friendly staff.
Was hoping to attend the roof top bar but was a private function up there! Service was good and would return
Such a relaxed space with amazingly friendly bar staff, everyone had such a great night. Will definitely be booking future events here for sure. Love this place! Thank you for having us!
Friendly and cramming staff with good choice of drinks and pool tables which are great way to spend time with friends
We had a reservation for yesterday (25th July), were seated quickly but in a very small corner on a 4 person table (there were 6 of us). The method of ordering was fine and the drinks came quickly, but they tasted awful. It was almost as if they had been in the dishwasher but hadn't been rinsed. We suspected it might have been a pipe that needed cleaning for the draught, but my cocktail was the same. We didn't finish our drinks. The toilets were not in a good state - there was no toilet roll in any cubicle, very little handwash and no paper towels for drying hands. They were also very small with no measures for social distancing which was a concern. We had the table for two hours but eventually left after 45 minutes (once the huge group of 50+ people had finally moved from the front door, not really following any guidelines there, ey?) Unlikely to return unless there's a huge improvement and the drinks taste like they're meant to instead of Dettol.
