The ethos of Brewhemia is, 'For the love of adventure' which is encapsulated in the five separate areas, each with their own story to tell.
Excellent day out can't fault the beer, food or service
Had a lovely meal on Monday evening with friends. I was early for my reservation but the young lady showed me to my table and took my drinks order. My friends arrived a little later and the whole order was taken. Service was great and the food was very tasty! Great menu and lovely atmosphere. Will be coming back again, that’s for sure.
Great evening attending the Burns Night, fantastic entertainment and good fun all round.
Really enjoyable afternoon tea
Love brewhemia! Never disappoints me! E’thing was great! As usual!
Charlie was professional yet engaging and attentive. My only criticism was the size of our table, it was too large for our group and made it difficult to hear each other. The live band was a nice touch too!
We were a party of 4 placing our order at 5 minutes to 12 noon and one of our party wanted to order from the lunch menu but wasnt allowed to as it was 5 minutes too early. We were surprised and disappointed by that, also surprised that the waitress didn't offer to hold onto our order till 12, my friend was kind of pushed into changing her choice. My husband asked to swap out the haggis on the breakfast for extra bacon, the waitress said that was ok but we then got charged for an extra side order of bacon. Otherwise we loved it, great venue and loved the live music, the food was fabulous, we will definitely come back next time we visit Edinburgh.
Booked the tipsy picnic as part of a hen party. Great set up, good value and lovely atmosphere. Will defo return .
We came for afternoon tea and really enjoyed it, the food was great and staff friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend.
Brilliant way to celebrate Burns night
Great venue which suited our party of 14. Were accommodated well at every stage of our afternoon. Cocktails in the bar, lunch in the main restaurant then after lunch drinks upstairs. Atmosphere was great and live music wasn’t overpowering. Food was excellent and on the whole service in all areas was good. One thing I found bizarre was one of our pre paid lunch party couldn’t make it on the day and even though I told 3 separate staff members (1st one 1.5hrs before we were eating), the food was still served to the table to an empty seat. That aside I would visit again and have already recommended the venue on.
Service was incredible, the guy behind the bar on saturday 25th in the Bothy room around noon time was fantastic. Gave us a great run down of each beer and made sure we were happy with everything. The venue itself is also amazing, never ending as we walked to the back. Will gladly be back soon!
We enjoyed our visit, and will certainly return. One bit of constructive criticism though. My Daughter did not enjoy her vegan breakfast. Veganism has become so popular over the last few years and most bars and restaurants are rightly catering for vegans. My Daughter is a vegetarian, but she does not enjoy a lot of vegan foods. It seems vegetarian food is being pushed off menu’s for vegan food. Please remember vegetarians are not vegans.
We brought our dog along with us for the afternoon tea and the service was amazing. She got offered treats, a water bowl and even a dog bed with blankets. A perfect touch to a dog friendly bar. Service to ourselves was also perfect. Would highly recommend the gentleman’s afternoon tea. One of the best dog friendly places we have visited!
Very enjoyable gentleman’s afternoon tea. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great setting in the Bothy bar. Highly recommended.
Had a really lovely time at brewhemia on Friday. Waitress was super lovely, quick service and great environment
A great experience. We’re planning our next visit already
I held a drinks event in the Boudoir, a lovely cosy venue. Everyone I dealt with before and on the night was very professional and welcoming. Canapés were also very good.
Our first ever visit. Meal was delicious and staff very attentive. Will definitely be going back.
It's a shame you dont have a salad or a low fat option on your a la carte menu for those who are trying to watch what they eat
Great staff. Great idea for an afternoon fun. Bought through Itison which was good value, although probably lesser value for money at full price. Your staff are superb and a pleasure to be served by.
We've been all over Austria/Germany and love schnitzel so we opted for the schnitzel burger. Were sadly very disappointed with what we got, the amount is huge but never had a schnitzel like it before, chicken was still pink and very thick when it should be very thin and flat with a light airy batter. We never complained on the night as the main courses were half price but it has put us off eating here again which is a shame as my husband was planning on bringing a party of friends there for a birthday dinner soon.
Great food and great service.
