Brett is a wine bar & eatery where you can enjoy high quality produce in a relaxed and casual experience. Our wines are carefully selected in the low intervention and organic range and our menu offers locally sourced fresh ingredients. From sharing plates, cheese and charcuterie selection to fresh Scottish seafood, you can make a night at Brett having nibbles or dinner with a glass, a bottle or even a magnum of wine!
We attended the evening with food by Graeme Cheevers. The food was very tasty and the service excellent. Our experience was let down by the wine. We ordered a bottle of Albariño which was brought to our table already opened and completely hidden by the ice sleeve, so couldn’t actually see what we were drinking. We weren’t offered to taste the wine as normally you would expect and were told that we mind find it slightly different from other ones we have tasted. It was like no Albariño we had ever had, fizzy and really not nice. We couldn’t drink it and felt we couldn’t complain as we were never actually asked if we wanted to taste it, or asked how it was. Very disappointing considering the price.
Fabulous . First visit and so impressed by the food, ambience and service . So relaxed and informal yet food is high end. Really can’t wait to return .
Excellent experience, wonderful and attentive (but not overly) service, relaxed and chill atmosphere. The food takeover was stunning. Will be back.
Great food, wine and staff. Everyone was really attentive and could give lots of information about the food and wine available. A really nice setting and will definitely be back.
Amazing I was so stuffed the staff are so friendly!
We had a lovely evening at Bar Brett last night, the food was great as was the service. Will definitely be back again.
amazing as usual
Absolutely First Class
Last night at Brett I had some of the best meat I’ve ever eaten: very rare very tender sublimely flavourful venison on a bed of excellent cabbage cooked creamily, the whole with chestnut grated on the top. Perfection. (Reminded me of the tenderest and tastiest beef I’ve ever eaten, 12? years ago, at Nerua in Bilbao.)
Quality of food was excellent as well as a fantastic and varied wine list! Will be back soon
Exemplary food, wine and service. Will be back soon
We visited pre panto for the first time and if we hadn't been pushed for time we most definitely would have stayed and tried more of the delicious food and wine. Will be back for sure and have already recommended it to others.
Food and drinks were exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening.
We had a lovely evening original food & drink
Nice meal - value for money , don't think so..
Dear Brett We can’t thank you enough for our fantastic lunch. The food was fabulous, the wine exquisite and the staff were lovely. We had an amazing experience,
Lovely bar and mezzanine area. Wide choice of wine by the glass as well as by bottle. Quiet when we were in the the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed.
Absolutely outstanding! Would happily recommend
Great venue and staff. Food and drink was top notch.
Had a brilliant time. Lovely atmosphere. Inventive but homey, tasty food. Service was brilliant and you could really see the camaraderie and passion among the guys. All in all a fab experience that I'd love to repeat. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Absolutely worth a visit.
Food was amazing and all the staff were so lovely - really helpful & knowledgeable:)
Fabulous new Bar/ Bistro . Great wine, food atmosphere, staff
Very expensive £9 for a glass of wine is quite steep...waitress was quite pretentious and didn't seem to be enjoying herself. Someone of a more friendly demeanor to serve guests would be better. Decor was nice and chefs serving to table
