Brel Has Changed
A new look, a new menu but everything you loved left exactly as is.
A magical new garden, a cosy new conservatory stove, amazing new dishes and some of the old favourites...
Welcome to Ashton Lane's most magical venue.
Loved the fondue night. Good value. Delicious.
Food was very tasty however the raclette for two was a little short on cheese and the mandatory soda bread is equal in quantity to the 4 items of your own choice, highlighting its intended function of filling you up. Service was very polite however having to wait 15mins to be seated for a pre-booked table is disappointing considering how well informed you are of the 2hr maximum stay in advance. Those are slight issues overall, the larger issue is how loud and cramped the restaurant is. I understand being busy during the festive period in a successful restaurant. However the decision to use every last piece of floor space is a conscious money motivated decision by the owners at the expense of diner comfort so I feel it’s fair to harshly mark Brel down in the atmosphere category. Overall, I wouldn’t make this a regular destination because I have experienced the same quality of food in a nicer atmosphere. However the menu is unique and very tasty, so I’d visit again at a quieter period.
Fantastic food and great service. I had a special request that they very kindly performed.
Great meal for a group of 7
My rib eye steak was extremely tough, I did not receive aioli with my fries. Second round of drinks was wrong.
Great food , friendly staff , always a joy eating at Brel
Lovely atmosphere and cracking staff
Great staff and excellent food at very reasonable West End prices!
Always fabulous service from a friendly team of people. Food was excellent and lovely that the staff can recommend drinks for you. Excellent service
Brilliant service, delicious food and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon!
We reserved the room upstairs for a graduation dinner and we had a fantastic time!
The food was good but it was very cramped and noisy couldn't wait to get out.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Guess because it was busy it meant staff struggled to keep up! Bit tricky getting order and in particular dessert.
Lovely service, fantastic menu - worth a visit.
great food and lovely staff back soon
Excellent restaurant with the best fondue in Glasgow
First visit to Brel but will definitely be back. Wine was lovely and very nice staff too. Had the cheese fondue with meat platter. Picked the wrong thing. Meat platter is definitely an acquired taste but certainly plenty of it. Hasn't put me off. My own fault. Will choose from a la carte menu next time.
Really enjoyed Brel and would go back. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great menu with good variety. Amazing chocolate fondue! It said for 2 but comfortabley fed 4 of us!!
Nice place with very good food and good atmosphere. Try the mussels, they are great!
