We had a excellent meal at this venue would defiantly recommend The food and service was First-class
My friend and I had a wonderful lunch at the Town House, the food was exceptional! Washed down with a refreshing glass of fizz made it the perfect afternoon for our girlie catch up. I would highly recommend the Hesketh Platter , totally yum 😋
Excellent service, attentive but not overbearing. Food was lovely, nice atmosphere and fab value for money.
My friend and I visited on a Tuesday lunchtime, we were warmly welcomed and seated promptly. Three course lunch menu had plenty to choose from and our meal was both beautifully prepared and presented. We will definitely return.
Good and service excellent.
Very pleasant experience from beginning to the end, which these days is very hard to find. Will defiantly return for another lovely meal. The afternoon teas looked spectacular
Atmosphere only 3 stars as bombarded with music too strongly jazz influenced. Not to the majority's taste I think. Food and service both fantastic. Value for money stars reduced because meal was booked with a Travelzoo voucher which promised food to the maximum value of £63. The menu presented was reduced in choice and we had to pay a £5 supplement for each of our main courses of Steak and Lamb. The total price of the courses we ordered was below £63 on the complete menu which we saw on our departure,
Excellent value and wonderful food and service.
We had the most amazing time here. We brought friends from California to try the Afternoon Tea and I can quite honestly say it was the best we have tried, the sandwiches in particular were really lovely. I would definitely come back and try it again. The restaurant was very quiet when we went but the staff were very attentive. Excellent and thank you for making it so nice for us.
Used a Travelzoo deal and was very good value. Food all freshly prepared and very well presented. Drinks - especially wine expensive.
Really enjoyed our meal and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Will visit again and recommend to our friends.
Our waitress was absolutely amazing!! Can’t remember her name but name our experience so much better, was so kind and continued to fill our glasses with water without us even having to ask! Amazing!
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening, food and service were excellent.
We had a lovely afternoon. Excellent service from pleasant, professional staff. All food was very good value and was enjoyed by all. It was nice to be able to sit in the lounge after and enjoy a coffee.
We visited with the family, it was perfect, the service and the food was outstanding. Thank you.
bit too quiet for a Friday so little atmoshere
We had a lovely lunch the food was superb and the staff very attentive. We will certainly be back very soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
First class. excellent food and venue. Derek
The food was really good, wine good too. Its a shame that there wasnt more people there you need to advertise maybe. Great location but people need to know about it. I had a steak which was cooked to perfection and very tasty, homemade chips were delicious.
A delicious meal, in a lovely atmosphere even though we were the only diners at one point. Staff were attentive without being overbearing. We will certainly come again
Waiting on and greeting staff very nice, helpful and polite. However, the afternoon tea was like a kids picnic, the chef should be ashamed.
We enjoyed a really lovely meal at this restaurant. The service was excellent as was the food. Very stylishly presented and delicious. Reasonable prices for such such top notch food. We will return next time we are in Chester. Top marks for everything apart from atmosphere as it was very quiet, given it was just after new year.
I went to The Townhouse Chester for Christmas lunch with my Mum and it exceeded our expectations. Our booking was for 2.30pm and we arrived shortly before to be greeted by a very Christmassy Andrew on reception. Andrew had been so helpful with the booking so it was really good to meet him. We were asked to go through to the bar area, which had a roaring fire and was tastefully decorated, and we were then asked if we wanted a mulled wine or a prosecco. We sat on the comfy sofas and were served our prosecco and also some canapés served on a piece of slate. After half an hour we were asked to be seated. The table was set lovely with a red tablecloth and silver table runner. All three courses were swiftly served and the waiters and waitresses couldn't do enough for everyone, without being fussy or stressy. We were expecting a sorbet after the starter, which didn't come, but it wasn't really needed anyway. All in all we had such a lovely day and we will be going back soon for the bottomless afternoon tea!
Really nice food and absolutely wonderful lady serving in the restaurant. The area we were in was a small area of the hotel and it didn’t quite look like it did in the photos online. It was fine but it did feel a bit less glamourous that the photos online suggested. You could not fault the service and the food was tasty.
