About Brasserie at Ellenborough Park
Enjoy classic British fare in the relaxed atmosphere of The Brasserie, one of the best restaurants in Cheltenham.
You need some subtle background music in the brasserie to take the edge off feeling like you have to whisper. This was the only thing missing and it would of made the experience perfect (I'm being really picky)! The service and food were spot on! 9.5 out of 10
Fantastic place for Lunch, Sunday Roast, and High Tea! Highly recommend to anyone wanting a special outing!
A great shame that an otherwise great experience was spoiled by the 45 minute wait for our first course of bread and charcuterie. Quite a lengthy wait for the main course too. The explanation was that a party of 30 was being served, but that's not really satisfactory, is it?
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff
Excellent food and very friendly staff. The Happy Birthday chocolates were a lovely touch - thank you. I know this feedback specifically relates to the Brasserie but Bev, the therapist who did my treatments in the Spa, was absolutely wonderful and deserves a special mention. Thank you.
This wasn't what I expected from the grandness of Ellenborough park, the brasserie was just like a local pub. I was also a little disappointed that we could only choose from the sandwiches menu and not the a la carte, when I had booked a spa package and was allocated a time of 3:15 for lunch, there was no mention this would mean a limited menu, if I had known I would have booked at an earlier time. Having said that the food we had was very nice, and the staff were friendly.
The staff were lovely and made my mother feel very special on her birthday
Fantastic food at an truly beautiful venue
Lovely stop over, beautiful building and surroundings. Wish the spa was bigger but everything else made up for it!
We had a wonderful day, the staff were fantastic, service excellent, very relaxing and great value for money..will definitely be returning to the brasserie and spa..
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Absolutely loved every minute of the meal and the staff couldn't be anymore attentive to us. Would recommend to all my friends and family.
Risotto was one of the best I've ever had.
Took my mother out for Sunday Lunch. Great food and reasonable prices. EPIC Location as a bonus.
Great food. Great place. No complaints. Literally nothing.
The service was superb & the staff were friendly & accommodating (request for changes to accompaniment side dishes was taken in stride). We had a wonderful 3 course meal with the chef's raspberry creme brûlée being the highlight of our dining experience. A huge thank you to all the staff.
Absolute 5 star service. Staff were very knowledgeable about the food and drink available and were outstandingly polite and friendly.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Brasserie as the food quality was great although the staff could have been slightly more attentive as they wondered around looking for the right tables for the food. The fish cake starter and lamb were both amazing although the charcuterie large platter for £18 with 4 small pieces of bread didn't represent the same value as some of the other dishes. Although the dining experience is designed to be less formal than than the restaurant it definitely left us feeling very content
Very attentive service and talented bartender
Not only had a great meal on Friday night, had breakfast for the Lions game as well. The staff could not do enough for you in the bar area. Thanks to all. M&M 👍
I had a spa package given to me as a gift and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. The seaweed wrap I had was fabulous and Victoria the therapist very good.
I had such a great day with you yesterday. The food was sublime and the waiter was very charming and attentive. The room was pristine and I felt very welcome and relaxed and un hurried. Very rare these days. Thank you
We are locals and have been visiting for Sunday lunch in the Beaufort Dining Room and afternoon tea ever since the Hotel first opened. Unable to get a dining room booking on this occasion, we decided to book lunch in the Brasserie. Unfortunately we found the food mediocre at best. I chose the beef burger but when it arrived the bun was burned black. We pointed it out to the waiter and he returned it to the kitchen. When the replacement arrived, the burger, salad etc., had been transferred into a bun which was cold and had not been toasted at all!!! By this time my wife was almost finished her first course, so I did not complain again. Our deserts were satisfactory. My wife visited the ladies powder room and she was struck by its shabbiness - toilet door covered in scuff marks, toilet roll cardboard centre on cubicle floor, paper towels just piled on a shelf just above basin, thus in danger of falling into the water, cheap hand wash etc, etc. In recent times we have noticed a drop in standards which were previously so high.
Food was, on the whole, pretty good albeit quite expensive although I expect that most customers, like us, were guests in The Brasserie as part of a deal. The decor is quite tired and looks like a dated pub dining room. Biggest criticism was that we asked to move to one of the side tables with cushioned seats as we found the wooden seats VERY uncomfortable. The waitress told us, rather curtly, that the table we asked to be moved to was 'reserved'. However this remained unoccupied throughout our dinner. For this reason we do not leave a tip.
High quality meal with great atmosphere and service
We enjoyed a very pleasant meal in congenial surroundings.
