Fantastic food and a really lovely and special evening - highly recommended.
Large table for dinner whilst holidaying in Queenstown & we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Took a while to order but at least in part our fault as we were chatting! Good recommendations from our waitress & excellent food & wine choices. The duck liver starter was exceptional, as was the lamb shoulder to share.
Great service from the staff and great food as well! While the food is pricey, the quality exceeds the expectation
Every time we visit Queenstown, this is a must do. This time we brought the parents along and the experience did not fail to deliver. The sommelier help us choose the perfect bottle, service was exceptional. They also organised a special treat for my birthday which made the night that extra bit special.
Excellent meal, The Waiter who looked after us would have been one of the best waiters ive ever encountered, Wine Knowledge was awesome. Excellent meal
Ella was excellent; we really appreciated her service.
We visit you every time we come to Queenstown. I always book well in advance but had to change our booking at short notice this time so I assume that was why we were given a table in the “new area”. Beautiful room but unfortunately seemed to be the “kids zone” ...8 kids under 7 so not really the cosy, relaxed atmosphere we have become used to at Botswana Butchery. We were so tired of listening to kids and babies that my husband didn’t even finish his main meal , a beautiful eye fillet, before we moved jnto the lounge to finish our $120 bottle of wine in peace. Just as a side note we felt that over $40 for half a crayfish the size of a king prawn was way over the top! All in all a very disappointing visit. We have always recommended our friends to visit you in the past and usually come with a large group but unfortunately the Botswana Butchery will not be on our groups list when we next visit Queenstown.
As usual we had a great time!
We had a great time for our anniversary and the wonderful staff made us feel very special
Not a great meal for the price
Fabulous food and service along with a lovely ambience... A highlight of our visit to Queenstown
our waitress was all time!!!!! .........food 10/10 wine list 8/10
Our meal, two eye fillets took one hour and twenty minutes to arrive - very d grade food
Excellent dinner and service. Would recommend Botswana butchery to friends and family.
The atmosphere was lovely and the service really good. I thought the wine was very overpriced. I also thought the entrees were over priced and I was expecting more. We had the scallops and the paua, and being a diver myself and having got my own fresh before and cooked them up I was a bit disappointed in the size and quality of the serve. I had the fillet mignon for main medium rare but unfortunately I couldnt eat all of it because it was too rare (almost blue) in the centre. Unfortunately I was disappointed and would not recommend this restaurant to others
Wonderful as always, consistently great in every area. Thankyou again
Overpriced. Geared towards tourist crowd and price reflects this. Food just acceptable.
Amazing food and even better service!
We had garlic butter on our steak, and the butter did not melt a single bit due to the cold temperature of the steak. Oysters were excellent.
I've been sending people here for years. it is amazing but there is a bit of hype attached to it now. It is still a cosy little restaurant worth visiting. My expectations were really high and it didn't quite hit the high standards I was hoping for - but still was a great night out. I'm also a bit annoyed that at an already expensive restaurant that we were expected to tip as well.... not a practice we appreciate in NZ... USA yes - but not NZ.
Outstanding restaurant and the best we visited in Queenstown.
Wonderful experience ! We are From Sydney and our son had been here on a holiday and dined at Botswana butchery - enjoyed so much when we booked our ski holiday in Queenstown he kindly booked your restaurant and he and his siblings gave it to us as a biirthday gift
Wonderful experience. Food was exquisite and service was excellent
Absolutely fabulous meal- from the Ab-Fab cocktail to dessert. Every course was stunning! Attentive and knowledgeable staff with particular thanks to our Italian waitress (sorry I don’t know her name).
