About Botanic House
Botanic House opened in July 2018, to visit is to experience the best of a traditional Dublin pub with the comfort and service of a high quality restaurant.
Botanic House is located at the heart of Glasnevin, a well-known leafy suburb of Dublin. The restaurant is a listed building with a very attractive Victorian façade.
Furnishings throughout the restaurant are soft leather, timeless fabric and rich wood. The light fixtures in both the bar and the restaurant evoke a sense of olde world grandness, many of them salvaged and restored from antique stores around the country.
On our doorstep is The National Botanical Gardens, a short 9-minute stroll will take you to the gates of Glasnevin Museum and Croke Park is just a 5-minute drive away. All 3 sites are worth a visit to learn more about Irish history, sport & flora.
Menus include brunch & lunch at the weekends with early bird Monday - Saturday. A la carte available daily from 4 - 10pm.
Easy listening tunes can be enjoyed every Sunday 3.30 - 5.30pm.
Dined as a party of 20 celebrating a communion. We had a fantastic afternoon. The food was really, really good and all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it! Service was great! We loved the whole afternoon!
Lovely food served by very pleasant staff with Rod Stewart playing in the background. Couldn’t be better.
Love this place, just wish there was more fish specials but understand the Irish preference for meat. Bill for two came to €123 before top which is expensive for local dining. But food was excellent as always and friendly staff. Will return.
Staff very friendly and nice. However soup was tasteless (mushroom and fennel) and pavlova was ok. Steak, salmon and lamb delicious.
Very warm welcome! Lovely pub. Consistently good!
Fantastic Easter Sunday lunch with a large family group - very well looked after and all ages were catered for. Service was very good, as was the food - we will be back
Food was good but portion size on all dishes were very small .We got one small bowl of veg between 3 people . I got the sole which was tiny for €25 !! I would often have this in the trocadero restaurant it cost €32 but is at least twice as big. We were seated at a high table which was very uncomfortable for an average meal that cost +€200 !!!
Reserved Botanic House for daughter's christening. Everything was first class from start to finish. Delicious food, lovely surroundings and superb staff and service. Would highly recommend to others and looking forward to returning again soon. Jacqueline McLaughlin
Lovely place very stylish
Top class restaurant/bar
Lovely spot for Lunch.
Amazing dining experience in this wonderful Gem of a place in Glasnevin, food delicious and to be served just caught local fish is really great, the staff are so so welcoming and friendly, seats comfortable and music soothing not loud and brash, would Highly recommend for a enjoyable relaxing evening out
Lovely dining experience exactley what you would want everything was really good.
Botanic House was perfect for Mothers day lunch. Food & service were very good and staff were very helpful with my dad (wheelchair user)
Lovely food and service, will be back
Lovely venue, excellent food & great staff
Lovely food and setting , service friendly and efficient. Very enjoyable afternoon
Menu is not distinctive enough compared to rival eateries nearby which all serve similar food cheaper. Place lacked atmosphere. Very attentive service. Food itself was well-presented and executed.
Lovely local spot for a bite to eat with a full bar and jazz on a Sunday evening
Thank you to Vivienne and the Team for a wondering evening looking after our large group of family and friends for our daughters Confirmation Party. Food was beautiful and restaurant perfect choice for our celebration.
Lovely atmosphere and lovely staff.
Food was lovely. My partner really only drinks gin and Schweppes slimline tonic of which you had none. We reluctantly ordered a different tonic and when ordering was made clear (through no fault of the server) that she didn’t really like any tonics they had on offer. Knowing the area there is an off licence 30 seconds away. How difficult would it have been to go out and purchase the correct tonic we wanted for our gin? We strongly considered leaving but to be fair we were very comfortable and we put up with the wrong tonics and stayed for a few. A bit of thinking outside the box would really have made the night.
Great service. Pleasant atmosphere. The lunch menu was diverse and good value.
Lovely food, lovely staff, but priced a bit high!
We had a fantastic evening. The food was delicious, the service was attentive without being overbearing and the menu plus bottle of wine is great value. We're already planning our next trip
