About Bluebell 1494
Family owned International Tapas and Wine Bar in the heart of one of Chester's oldest surviving Medieval Inns. Seconds from The Story House and the perfect venue for parties big or small, romantic or for the family and kids. Everything cooked to order and made with love
Lovely staff who were energetic and helpful. Nice surroundings, tasty food and sangria. We had a lovely time! The only thing I would say is that portion sizes could just be a tiny bit bigger. I know tapas is small plates but it's nice to have a good sharing portion. Thanks Bluebell for a great Sunday evening.
1st time , after recommendation by friends, will sure to be bach
Food was delicious and staff were very friendly and attentive!
Delightful food, served by great staff! Will be visiting again soon.
Lovely. Our waitress was so nice and helpful
Lovely food, great service and fantastic value for money
We had a delicious meal at the Bluebell on Saturday evening, we ordered tapas and every dish was excellent - hard to choose a favourite! Service was efficient and friendly and clean. Thank you!
Great food and friendly service.
We had such a lovely afternoon here on Friday..... fantastic food, great service! Can't wait to come back again
I took my wife for a birthday meal here last night and the service was excellent, food was excellent and paella was gorgeous! We had some Gin’s to drink which were all presented and really flavoursome! Music, atmosphere, location are all excellent and the decor and quirky character the place has along with the history makes this place an Althing round excellent score. We had to return the runs and they were too tough and chewy and we couldn’t bite into them. However the staff were great with the feedback we gave them and offered a replacement! I would definately go back again.
Ordered 8 tapas dishes and every single one was delicious would highly recommend!
Amazing as always, food and service were both flawless as usual. Made us feel really comfortable even with restrictions in place
Food was delish
Our favourite place to wine and dine in Chester.
Great food and value for money, would highly recommend
Lovely food and service as always, plenty of tapas options
Excellent - as always! Staff were great as well as the food. All the staff were washing and sanitising hands all the time which was great to see! Food was amazing!
Great service from the moment we walked through the door. Perfect level of friendliness. Food was great. Get here if you fancy tapas in Chester.
food was ok, was expecting better considering the rating. lack of salt
We have been planning to eat out here fior some time now. There was a great selection of tapas and nibbles to start. We had 2 of the specials on offer, - goats cheese balls and seafood meze, which were both very tasty. I particularly liked the pork cheeks on savoy cabbage too. Service reasonabke swift and polite and friendly. Cost was pretty high but we did have a few bottles of wine and the food was to a high standard.
The tapas were superb, one favourite was the mushroom dish that was sublime.... Staff were friendly and service was great. Will definitely return. A gem with Chester's Walls.
Nice place but food a bit bland, wasn't much flavour, I've had tapas loads of times, had garlic mushrooms but couldn't taste any garlic
Lovely food in a beautiful old building
The choice of tapas was great, delicious and great value for money. The room was warm with a new but old feel to it. The service was attentive but not over bearing. I will definitely be back and would definitely recommend it.
