Very enjoyable experience!
Fine dining at reasonable prices, good service and quality. Would highly recommend
Good was great. Atmosphere could do with some work.
Wonderful food and wine. Waitress was very professional and lovely. Would recommend to everyone
Food was excellent. Service was efficient but you did not feel rushed. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
A party of 7 have just enjoyed a Sunday lunch and Birthday celebration. The venue was nicely sized, atmospheric, and well staffed, who were helpful and cheerful. I would definitely go again, and my only criticism is a shortage of choice in the Vegetarian option. However, this was a Sunday lunch, which is more limited in comparison to evening meal selection. Thank you to all staff in making it a memorable day!
Sunday afternoons were made for spending at Blacksmiths Loft. Good Sunday lunch in lovely surroundings followed by a relaxed music filled afternoon in the lounge waited on by great staff.
This was our first visit and we were celebrating our anniversary. As soon as we were seated we were given a complimentary glass of fizz to celebrate which was a lovely touch. Due to time of arrival we were offered both menu choices, we opted for the early bird menu and wine flight. We were not disappointed! The food was incredible! Service was excellent, we had a fabulous evening and will definitely be back to visit again. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.
Toilet facilities were terrible & smelt - reserved table was sat on with non party members - menu limitation - however staff & service along with food was great - Matt was exceptional
Another fabulous evening. From the initial booking to the pre-order and minor amendments, communication was excellent. On the evening our area was available on time and was excellent, atmospheric and very intimate. The service was perfectly timed and the serving staff were very attentive to our needs. The food and drinks were of the best quality. Every member of our party was very impressed. We are already planning our next visit.
A reallly enjoyable evening. The food was excellent and so was the service.
Very nice. We lover the deep fryed balls Had a nice surprise of a birthday card and drink from the staff
Had lovely Sunday lunch with friends, everyone enjoyed their food and we will definitely be returning!
Definitely a 5 star night out. We were up for a sports event and thought we would do a 'date night'. Lovely lounge downstairs, greeted by the most friendly staff. We decided to have a drink before going upstairs for our meal. Great choice of drinks. My wife had a cracking French Martini. The greeting we had upstairs was equally as welcoming. We decided to go for the Early Evening Menu. Great decison. The Ham hock fritter was great, as was the spicy egg starter. Main course was the bravette steak. Fantastic. My wife had the chicken supreme which she also said was lovely and moist. The portion sizes were ideal. We are not pudding people so went downstairs for a few more drinks. This was a great way to wash down the super meal. It was happy hour on cocktails and we had 4 between us. Every one a joy. While we drank a local singer did a set. All in all a lovely evening.
We had a lovely meal, all 3 of us had different dishes and each one was superb. Unfortunately, we were there when they were refurbishing the main restaurant so we were upstairs in a much smaller plainer room, hence the slightly lower atmosphere rating. However, we definitely will go back as we were so impressed with the food and service.
Food was fantastic & service was great. Could have done with some background music.
Food and service were very good but the decor and furnishing let it down. It felt grubby and in need of a refurb. Dirty vases on tables with dried up water stains! The whole place felt like an old seaside guest house dining room but with upmarket prices. What a let down!
Cram too many people in. Our table wasn't the best! Took ages to take our order
Great value for money pre 7pm menu. Food brilliant, but my appetite would have catered for more! We found the decor a bit uninspiring, maybe talk to the designer of downstairs?
Absolutely delicious meal. Each course was presented beautifully and service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. Thank you. We will be coming back :-)
Really enjoyable night out with my husband will definitely return x
An excellent meal. The beetroot mousse starter with goat cheese ice cream was divine and would not be out of place on the menu of a Michelin starred restaurant!
First impressions were that it was a little bit disorganised. We arrived early but there was no where to sit and wait in the restaurant so had to go back downstairs in to the bar. Service in the bar was good and they carried our wine to our table for us. Waiter was French, quite good and knowledgeable. We had duck egg to start which was nice albeit to large a portion followed by the Chateaubriand - medium rare which came with hand cut duck fat chips ..... or so we thought. We heard a table near us discussing this dish with their waiter who advised them that the kitchen had run out of chips. Our waiter did not advise us of this. When the meal came there were no chips but small new potatoes which had been cut into quarters and fried. Definitely NOT hand cut chips!!!! We didn't want to make a fuss so did not raise this with anyone. However, when we attempted to eat them they were not cooked properly so we called over a waitress who advised there was no hand cut chips so we opted for herbed mash. The meat was disappointing as it was over cooked - definitely NOT medium rare. It was tender so we did eat the majority of the portion given. No waiter came over to us during the meal to ask if we were happy with the meal. When the waiter came over to clear our table we did advise him of the overcooked steak and he offered us free deserts which we declined and had coffee instead which were not charged for. Neither were we charged for the bottle of wine that we had - although we did point this out. Overall it was an ok evening and ok meal. Although my partner was very disappointed as she does not like over cooked steak and felt that the waiter should have told us about the lack of hand cut chips and come over to make sure the meal was to our liking before we had finished. Wouldn't overly recommend this restaurant but wouldn't dismiss it either so may go again but wouldn't rush back.
Great food and service would not hesitate to book again
Blown away by the quality and creativity of the food. Service friendly and knowledgeable. Will visit again.
