Very pleasant evening at The Loft. They were not phased at all when we increased our booking of four to nine at quite short notice.Waiting staff very helpful, suggesting smaller portions for the three younger children. All staff attentive, without being intrusive. Would highly recommend.
Food amazing, service fab, very accomodating
10 of us ate in the private dining room at the top of the building on Saturday night - the service was spot on and the food fabulous. For a group that size you would struggle to find a better venue in Derby
Delicious food, excellent friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended!
A very enjoyable experience. Just one thing that got under our skin was the drama queen on the table opposite who thought the whole restaurant wanted to know about her problems
a very disappointing evening. in fact we couldn't wait to get out. service and atmosphere particularly poor. very unwelcoming. And don't ask for anything that's not on the menu...so I expect people with 'special dietary requirements' should steer clear.
We had a lovely evening and were very well looked after. My disappointment was the food - for my starter I looked for something fresh and light to balance my main course of duck, so I chose pear and walnut - but it didn't come as fresh & light pear, but as something strangely cooked and partially fried (couldn't quite work it out). My main course was tasty but very heavy on meat and light on vegetables. It was balance that was lacking, for me. Others felt similarly, but we enjoyed our visit.
We had a lovely waitress, the food was excellent as usual.. service was lovely and a free glass of fizz for mums was a lovely touch..
All meal were cold an had to be sent back. Then asked for gravy which got sent back 4 times due to being Luke warm. Also the menu stated you got red cabbage but we didn't not impressed with the food however staff were good
Hi, I have been several times and it's all great, especially the gluten free aspect - however the roast meat in the Sunday platters is a little mean - yesterday my daughter and I had 5 small half slices between us, which i doubt accounted for 2 servings. Neither of us are big eaters either, but it did seem a very small serving - even for us!
Nice restaurant, food was a reasonable standard.
Great atmosphere in the lounge. Fantastic food and service in the loft. Will recommend to all my friends
Great food, excellent customer service
Just excellent in all respects. The food is superb and the service really well judged.
I was disappointed if I’m honest. You sell yourself as fine dining but the experience was not but the price was. I didn’t like the paper napkins and menus that are stained with various different things. The toilet upstairs for the ladies are awful. No handle on the door to get out no mirror and was freezing. The food was very nice but when the waitress brought the duck to me for my main she said “who’s having the lamb?” I said I was having duck and her response was “ah I always get these mixed up!” I can only imagine she meant a getting it mixed up with a lamb shank? Again the kind of thing that shouldn’t happen when we paid £85 for a meal.
Another brilliant evening in the Loft. Food and service are outstanding. This is becoming a very favourite place.
We had a gorgeous meal here last weekend the food was really good quality and the service was excellent too. We will be be back soon thank you very much
The food was amazing. The service was fast and polite.
A very disappointing experience. We went for the early evening (Friday) meal and were the only diners there throughout. The menu was very limited, the food was obviously re-heated and poorly presented and what was supposed to be a duck egg was definitely a small hens egg! We have had excellent meals there before but would not go again or recommended it to friends. All in all NOT a good experience.
The food was lovely and the service was very friendly without being intrusive and it was very efficient. The atmosphere was just right for valentine's night with a good pianist. Certainly very pleased we picked the Blacksmith's Loft for our valentine celebrations and we both thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Excellent food and service will definitely be paying another visit.
Superb all-round thank you, will certainly be back!
What a fabulous way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Lovely 3 course meal. Friendly and attentive members of staff. Then headed downstairs to enjoy the open mic session. Just remember to go by taxi as you may be tempted to try lots of lovely drinks!
A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Lovely Sunday lunch again ! Will definately be back !
