Great drinks on Christmas Eve! Staff were very friendly and there was a great atmosphere! Drinks were fantastic and good value for money! Will be booking again! :)
Food was amazing, great vegan option
Food is perfect. Great selection of drinks. Brilliant service. Will definitely be back!
Staff were very friendly and accommodating .
Lovely immaculately clean premises with fantastically friendly staff and good food. We will definitely return
First time I have ever been and I will definitely be back. Me and my friends came in for drinks and wow the drinks menu is absolutely fantastic, so much choice! Also fantastic prices on drinks and the cocktails are AMAZING! Good atmosphere. Only issue was maybe more staff needed, was quite hard to get someones attention. I also did not like the way the manager/owner/boss was speaking to his employee - he was very rude.
Great venue. Great staff very attentive
It was very expensive for average cocktails. The manager was incredibly rude to us the whole evening and even chased us out into the street shouting in front of everyone that we hadn’t pain when in fact we had paid cash AND we had left a tip even after the bad service. Will not be returning.
Dinner was part of a DBB package and therefore a smaller menu choice, but this was not a problem as the selection was superb and excellent portion sizes.
Nice friendly place, atmosphere and staff were good. Food was served all day with a different menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were staying in the hotel rooms above so ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and all were good
Beautiful lunch served by friendly efficient staff. Had the butternut squash soup which was delicious and everything was piping hot.
This was our second visit recently to Blackfriars pub. We were looking for somewhere with atmosphere which is difficult to find during these difficult times. We certainly found it at Blackfriars. The service was prompt obvs with table service, the cocktails were lush and at a great price. We will be planning our next visit for a Christmas meal and drinks! Thanks to the staff at Blackfriars 👍
Arrived a little early for reservation and team more than happy for us to seat us and order drinks prior to meal. Great service, lovely food and cocktails.
I stayed here in the hotel and decided to eat here as well, as it had been recommended. I had the crab appetizer and the main course of salmon. It was delicious! I'd highly suggest making a stop at Blackfriar's.
The best place in town for lunch and dinner. Serviced is very friendly and welcoming.
Very efficient service
Staff were very helpful to accommodate us at the last minute, good atmosphere but was not too impressed with the food. The Mac and cheese was alright but quite expensive for what it was. The most disappointing thing was the Nessie burger, the onion rings on top were good but the hamburger was very disappointing. Not sure if this was all due to the impact of Covid, but the food disappointed but the staff were really good.
