Good as always
Great eating experience followed by fantastic fresh food shopping.
Was actually very nice as less tables in there and was more pleasant
Fabulously freshly cooked breakfast. Heavenly granary toasted bread and butter. Fresh orange juice and coffee was delicious Thank you.
First class food and service as always.
A great breakfast visit, all precautions in place
We love coming to blacker hall for our breakfast treat mornings
Absolutely top quality service along side a smashing afternoon tea put a massive smile on my partners face as well as mine!! Would recommend blacker Hall to all friends and family!!
Lovely Sunday dinner. Bakewell tart was incredible. Will. Be returning
Lovely welcome and very prompt service.
Good food, super staff and excellent overall Covid-safety with table spacing, hand sanitiser availability & one-way systems. The only criticism would be that serving staff tend to stand a little too close to customers when taking their orders and serving/clearing food. To make things even more Covid-safe, the reintroduction of a serving table would be a really good idea. Perhaps you will give this some thought for when you re-open after the latest Lockdown.
First class as always
Absolutely love this place!! The food is amazing and I love the fact it’s from there own source. I can’t recommend enough.
Food was lovely and well priced. Could of possibly had another option for Main whether that was a steak, lamb or sausages etc.
Good Sunday roast lunch. 2 meats and veg.
Very nice breakfast with fast and friendly staff
Felt safe and well looked after. The food was amazing and even better at three courses for £20. The portion sizes were spot on although I did wonder if I would be able to fit through the door as I was that stuffed. Staff friendly and polite overall awesome experience. This was our first time but certainly won’t be our last.
I visited and wanted a sandwich the only sandwich which was available on the menu was £11.95??!! When I questioned this I was told the place to purchase sandwiches was in the shop then eat in the courtyard it was blowing a gale and cold this need a looking into and a variety of sandwiches needs adding to the cafe menu I will not return as I thought it was expensive and I was disappointed
WE had the roast platter which was really tasty however it became cold.
Always good service from the friendly staff.
top notch the quality of food has gone right up since reopening after lockdown keep it up
Restaurant is lovely and clean, really nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly and helpful. However the food isn’t anything to shout home about, it’s a nice breakfast - poached eggs were more like boiled and the toast was more like warm sliced bread (my friend who previously went said they used to do big nice sourdough bread so abit of a disappointment). We spent £66 between 4 of us and in fairness we did all get either a tea or coffee and a soft drink or orange so drinks did add a fair bit but the glass of orange was less than 330ml and was £2.50 and I think the tea was around the same - it definitely wasn’t worth £66. We all thought the same and said we’ve had much nicer breakfasts for a lot less. It’s a shame as the couple we went with said they had been before and really enjoyed the breakfast but it looks to have gone down hill. Myself and my partner had actually been once before this and had burgers which were equally disappointing as from a farm shop you’d expect amazing burgers, but we thought we’d give it another go since the others had good experiences previously. The service is quite slow - however we were understanding of this as the place was busy and with COVID restrictions in place we understand this can take more time. Don’t think we will go again to be honest.
Bacon a little dry. Breakfast choices are pretty small, could perhaps expand a little. Service was good, friendly waitress etc. Found the maitre d' to be a little abrupt however. Didn’t wait too long for food which is a bonus. Would visit again if in the area.
An excellent meal, would definitely come again. Delicious, well presented food (afternoon tea and ploughman’s ). Very friendly efficient service. Thank you!
