About Bistro Pierre
Authentic French restaurants are few and far between these days but Bistro Pierre delivers in true Gallic style. You’ll find this vibrant, inner-city eaterie in the heart of Liverpool’s Cavern Quarter near the world famous Mathew Street, in an old warehouse building which with its wooden floors and exposed brickwork has readily transformed itself into a rustic French bistro. Service is relaxed, warm and friendly.
Service and food was outstanding and we will definatly be recomending you to all our friends and family. We will be up in Liverpool over the Christmas period and will surely be calling to see you again. Many thanks for the wonderfull meal and making us feel very welcomed.
Great food at great value for money in a great location.
Really good night, great food and very friendly staff!
Although a lively atmosphere,us old ones find the noise level difficult to talk over. Appreciate you cannot change that ! Otherwise, a nice evening.
Superb meal, excellent value and first class service. A most enjoyable evening, thank you.
We always dine with you when we come to Liverpool and have recommended you to a number of our friends whom we know have visited you and been likewise impressed.
Fabulous food and service always!
Everybody that came that day were very pleased with food, service value for money and the atmosphere. I also recommended you to Mr & Mrs who have dined with you a couple of times. They said out of the five restaurant they went to during there 5 days stay over the weekend you came out tops. Thank you so much for accommodating us re.time changes
Everyone has accidents, however a pint of lager was spilt over my husband and myself and our phones, it was dealt with but both me and my husband and the waitress were addressing the spillage on the table another waitress addressing the floor, this resulted in our party of four two of us ended up eating cold meals? We were given a refund of two pints of lager? I do not think you were interested how much was covered my husband and our phones You did not want fuss in front of other diners. Very disappointed actually with reaction
Enjoyed everything apart from the bread which was going stale
Never been disappointed. Always dine there when visiting Liverpool. Always recommend this restaurant.
Food great quality and value staff friendly
This was our second visit in a month and certainly won’t be the last. An all round excellent experience.
Fantabulous as always service was great
I have been a fond customer of Bistro Pierre, and before that, Pierre Victoire, for many, many years. This last week, I have visited twice. Last Saturday, I was extremely upset to find that the lightbulbs in the room on the right have been changed, probably to LED bulbs, which totally obliterate the previously warm, cosy atmosphere and plunge the room into an uncomfortable cold feeling, gloom. This generally happens with LED bulbs (and also halogens), which, while being horribly harshly bright, simultaneously cast depressive gloom. On this occasion, my bottle of normally crop and clean New Zealand Sauvignon tasted like a cheap Chardonnay. When I returned last Friday, the lighting in the left hand room was far more conducive to comfort, but the noise level was difficult to deal with. This can probably not be helped, but while we were eating our main course, two men appeared with guitars. These guitars were greatly amplified and completely ruined our meal. We had to leave. The men were not even playing tunes, but appeared to be simply making incongruous, loud, unrelated noises. We did ask them to lower the volume, but they did not comply. On what planet do restaurateurs think people who are trying to enjoy a meal would enjoy such a severe, inappropriate assault on their eardrums? People like to CHAT comfortably over a meal! The ‘music’ didn’t even remotely belong in a French restaurant, as it was not remotely related to anything French! On top of all this, the Viognier I replaced my usual Sauvignon with also tasted like a cheap Chardonnay! After my long love affair with this restaurant, I’m afraid I will not be returning. I left last Friday not feeling like I had enjoyed a lovely meal like I used to, but instead feeling truly traumatised, while nursing a banging headache. Never again.
Fab place for a great value lunch. Foid always tasty and fresh.
Fabulous as always the vegetarian tagine was beautiful
Lovely staff and a great menu for the price
Superb as usual.
Really good service, will be back soon
Had a great meal, friendly service, prompt and attentive
A regular at this fab restaurant however menu not changed much in last few months which is unusual for you. Starter disappointing cold in middle and not very flavoursome - had the pea and mint starter. Pasta dish has been the same for the last few months and it is on the Xmas menu too! No where near as nice as the previous creamy one. A bit disappointed to be honest hope you take these comments on board as it's not making me want to come back in the near future. I'm normally spoilt for choice as I don't eat meat 😭
Great food and nice quality wine and what good value on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant had even gone through the menu showing my friend which dishes were gluten and dairy free. Top marks for that. The staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful We had a lovely meal and I would certainly recommend Bistro Pierre.
