About Biscuiteers Notting Hill Icing Cafe
Our Notting Hill Boutique & Icing Café opened its doors in 2012 and is filled with all of our beautiful hand iced gifts. From biscuits to cakes, cupcakes to chocolates our shop has got the perfect pressies for all.
It is also home to the first Biscuiteers Icing School, so you too can learn to become a Biscuiteer. With our two hour classes, full on masterclasses or our DIY Icing Café, you’ll leave with lots of tips and techniques from our expert icers and, of course, biscuits.
Come and visit us for afternoon tea - a celebration of all things Biscuiteers and everything sweet, the tea includes miniature versions of our most loved cakes and patisseries in beautiful flavours, alongside our famous iced biscuits.
After booking this for a mother's day treat, I was very disappointed by the experience provided. I had read lots of mixed reviews online and the negative reviews sadly seemed to be correct. The selection of food was bad considering it was for 3 people priced at £90!!!!! It was very bad value for money. After asking for an allergy menu and explaining that I had a nut allergy I had to tell the waitress that the hazelnut cake had hazelnuts on top. We were sat next to the toilets where customers were coming in and out and there was no atmosphere at all. You claim to have a quirky vibe but that was lacking massively. I have wasted money that I have saved for a treat for my mum for us to only be dissapointed.
We had a wonderful afternoon at the DIY icing session- would highly recommend it to family and friends of all age groups!
It was such a lovely afternoon tea with fantastic service Thank you!
Thank you so much for being so accommodating and helpful during my son’s party! The staff was amazing and polite! We so appreciate their efforts! We will certainly book again next year! 😊
The staff were friendly enough and there are no issues with them specifically. The biscuits are amazing and I think the store is lovely but seriously needs some TLC, lights broken, wallpaper worn, chairs grubby and in need of a repaint, mirrors dirty, toilet messy/dusty. The tea was nice but £60 for two is excessive for what was there, it would be far better to have a few sandwiches which would be done at a fairly low cost and maybe cut back on the cake and reduce the total cost or keep it the same but add a glass of Prosecco. Im afraid I would not come again and I couldn't recommend to anyone else. Sorry.
Very disappointed with the 'icing cafe'. It was just a table, squeezed in the side of the shop and you can decorate 3 biscuits for the cost of the voucher. Not good value for money. Hot beverages ordered were also disappointing
Very pricey for what you get. We thought we had a 2 hour slot but were told we had to leave after 1.5 hours. To be honest there wasn't enough food to keep you there that long anyway. There was a party downstairs when we arrived and thy were there for about 30/40 minutes of our stay and the noise was crazy. Sitting upstairs near us were some I fb the parents from the party and they were also as loud. Table was tiny and really not big enough for afternoon tea for 4.
Stand out friendliness and service from the lady who helped me with my biscuits. I want to come back every day!!!
it was very cramped where we sat onn the top floor. the service was quite dull in the sense that the emplyee didnt seem that eager to tend to us. the tubes of icing we got were nearly finished to start with then we had to constantly try getting her attention for a top up.
Lovely, quite expensive for the amount of biscuits. 3 biscuits doesn’t take more than half an hour.
Great service!! Our server (from Poland) was adorable, and all the pastries and teas were wonderful! All what we were expecting in London! GRACIAS!! Cheers from Los Angeles CA.!
Really nice cakes, staff were lovely
Really disappointing - no guidance at all. No flood icing available (even though it’s shown on the website pictures). I wouldn’t recommend it. I would have given no stars if I could.
We had such a great time during the icing hour with our two children, who absolutely loved it! The service was excellent, the staff couldn’t do anymore to help us and watching our children icing and having so much fun was worth every penny x
Very good service, lovely food. We were well looked after.
Great icing lesson and fun experience for 10 year old girls. The’teacher’ was great! Thank you Helena
The cakes were lovely and more than enough for two - we took a takeaway box away for the rest. The service was good and the girls were nice. However, the table was within the shop which felt a bit strange. I’d still recommend going to others.
Lovely atmosphere & fun icing experience. Would definitely visit again!
I was a little disappointed that the afternoon tea did not include sandwiches, for the about that we paid.
A little snug but the staff and service was perfect! The food was tasty and more than enough, we even got to take some home!
Some of the staff need tracing / retrainjbg. They spoke about. Service was a little slow and unprofessional.
A great afternoon activity! I booked for myself and a friend and we had fun decorating biscuits. The staff were really friendly and welcoming I would definitely reccommend and come back again
Entered the icing cafe only to be left standing in a corner whilst 4 members of staff walked past us ignoring us even though they were aware we had a booking. They sat a large group infront of us down and started to get them set up whilst still ignoring us. Eventually I grabbed someone walking past and asked what we were meant to be doing and she said "you are meant to be sat upstairs thats where your table is" How on earth I was meant to know this I dont know. We then went upstairs and sat down at what we assumed was our table and then again no one spoke to us until I asked one lady to explain the experience to us. The icing cafe experience was ok, £15 to ice 3 biscuits each, you dont get any tools or flooding icing so really is aimed at children, not for anyone who actually wants to have a real go. We were the only ones upstairs apart from staff, this is when a lady entered the shop who I can only assume is a local manager. She then proceeded to chastise the poor woman working there who sounds like she had been left in the lurch by another staff member who hadn't handed over properly. So unprofessional to speak to someone so condescendingly and then go on the phone and talk about her to someone else whilst she was there. After we had finished icing our biscuits we were again left there for 15 minutes waiting to see what to do next and no staff member was around to help as they were running about for the local manager. Overall a poor experience and a shop that I definitely would not rush to go to again.
Lovely cafe and great idea, however we were a little disappointed that on the DIY Icing you cannot do flood icing just lines - flood icing was what we wanted to do - maybe you should state this on the website Enjoyable though
We would have appreciated also a sandwiches selection
