About Biscuiteers Notting Hill Icing Cafe
Our Notting Hill Boutique & Icing Café opened its doors in 2012 and is filled with all of our beautiful hand iced gifts. From biscuits to cakes, cupcakes to chocolates our shop has got the perfect pressies for all.
It is also home to the first Biscuiteers Icing School, so you too can learn to become a Biscuiteer. With our two hour classes, full on masterclasses or our DIY Icing Café, you’ll leave with lots of tips and techniques from our expert icers and, of course, biscuits.
Come and visit us for afternoon tea - a celebration of all things Biscuiteers and everything sweet, the tea includes miniature versions of our most loved cakes and patisseries in beautiful flavours, alongside our famous iced biscuits.
A little snug but the staff and service was perfect! The food was tasty and more than enough, we even got to take some home!
Some of the staff need tracing / retrainjbg. They spoke about. Service was a little slow and unprofessional.
A great afternoon activity! I booked for myself and a friend and we had fun decorating biscuits. The staff were really friendly and welcoming I would definitely reccommend and come back again
Entered the icing cafe only to be left standing in a corner whilst 4 members of staff walked past us ignoring us even though they were aware we had a booking. They sat a large group infront of us down and started to get them set up whilst still ignoring us. Eventually I grabbed someone walking past and asked what we were meant to be doing and she said "you are meant to be sat upstairs thats where your table is" How on earth I was meant to know this I dont know. We then went upstairs and sat down at what we assumed was our table and then again no one spoke to us until I asked one lady to explain the experience to us. The icing cafe experience was ok, £15 to ice 3 biscuits each, you dont get any tools or flooding icing so really is aimed at children, not for anyone who actually wants to have a real go. We were the only ones upstairs apart from staff, this is when a lady entered the shop who I can only assume is a local manager. She then proceeded to chastise the poor woman working there who sounds like she had been left in the lurch by another staff member who hadn't handed over properly. So unprofessional to speak to someone so condescendingly and then go on the phone and talk about her to someone else whilst she was there. After we had finished icing our biscuits we were again left there for 15 minutes waiting to see what to do next and no staff member was around to help as they were running about for the local manager. Overall a poor experience and a shop that I definitely would not rush to go to again.
Lovely cafe and great idea, however we were a little disappointed that on the DIY Icing you cannot do flood icing just lines - flood icing was what we wanted to do - maybe you should state this on the website Enjoyable though
We would have appreciated also a sandwiches selection
We had a fantastic experience! All of the pâtisserie for tea was delicious! However, it was the service of Niya and Kitty that really made our day!!
Afternoon tea taste ok, but portion is really small for the price we paid. I had in 5 star hotel afternoon tea, price is similar, portion was twice amount. It would not recommend this to others, as it is not valued for money.
I thought the service was poor and there was zero enthusiasm from the staff who were v dismissive to the children. A magical place of creation though & beautifully decorated so the potential to make it fabulous is huge it was just a shame that the staff seemed so dismissive.
We had a great experience at Biscuiteers doing one of the Icing Cafe experiences. Really appreciated the Christmassy theme and the cheerfulness of the staff. Thank you
Nice mother's day or date night activity, and the biscuits were really tasty too
My daughter and I had a wonderful time, a great bonding opportunity and a lovely experience. The staff were friendly and hospitable. I would definitely come back and recommend to a friend.
All the staff were lively and very friendly. We loved it and the biscuits were delicious
Very little explanation what to do, few decorations. Wasn’t that impressed.
The space is tiny, great to spy on the shop but very cramped if all tables in use. The food was delicious but I would have loved more biscuits, especially Christmas designed one's given it's Christmas Time. We paid for three but only received two of many items. Staff were absent doing a party so we couldn't get drink top ups. But overall enjoyed the experience but it didn't blow me away unfortunately.
Everything was great! good choice of biscuits, could have done with a couple more colours, but thoroughly enjoyed it all! Didn't feel rushed while we were waiting for our biscuits to bake which was good.
Erfüllte in keinster Weise unsere Erwartungen. Was soll das denn?
It was nice. We found it a bit strange that the afternoon tea was in the shop. The food was fine, although all very sweet. A little savoury would of made it better - more balanced. We felt the £30.00 per person was very steep for what you received and also taking into account it was in full view of shoppers, making it slightly awkward to chat and eat/drink with an audience. We had a nice time but won't be returning.
My daughter aged 15, with 3 friends, had a thoroughly creative, inspiring and fun afternoon learning to decorate biscuits. They then came home and immediately made the biscuits from the Biscuiteers cook book and got my 10 year old and 13 year old sons decorating too! Thank you for your inspiration and kindness.
had a kids birthday party. they had fun and took home nice cookies...
Booked 11 months ago a afternoon tea for two but when I booked in November found you don’t get sandwiches any more for the same price. The cakes where very good but not worth the money paid.
As a group of 4 mums we try and find unusual things to do every few months on a Saturday to have a break from the kids. We’ve done shows, bike ride round Hyde Park, escape room games, tea at Peggy Porschen etc and were very excited to go to Biscuiteers. We were a bit disapointed to be honest. We were sat down and given small biscuits to decorate (nowhere near the size of the ones in the shop) We asked for Christmas colours (red green yellow) for our festive biscuits (as we had purple pink orange and white on our table) but were told this would take 15 mins whilst being given the impression that this was too much bother. We felt like we were in the way,a bit of an inconvience and not that welcome. We ordered drinks but some items on the menu were not available. We were given our completed biscuits back in celophane bags until my friend pointed out we were meant to be given a presentation box, again this seemed like we were being a pain. For £15 the 3 biscuits we were given seemed really over price for the experience. Really we would have rather bought 3 full sizes biscuits in the shop for the same price I think. It would have been a nice touch to be able to choose a biscuit from the shop as part of the experience etc? Unfortunately I won’t be recommending this to friends as I have done Peggy’s and other London experiences which is a shame because the concept is a lovely one for mothers and daughters to do!
The atmosphere at the shop is adorable and fun, however the diy activity is not very special. There was a small selection of colours to choose from, most were set for Halloween (which had passed). It was a dissapointing setup, no tools or interesting decorations. The only instruction we were given was how to make a straight line. Not worth the hassle of traveling over nor the cost.
The kids had such fun and the staff were amazing!
