About Biscuiteers Notting Hill Icing Cafe
Our Notting Hill Boutique & Icing Café opened its doors in 2012 and is filled with all of our beautiful hand iced gifts. From biscuits to cakes, cupcakes to chocolates our shop has got the perfect pressies for all.
It is also home to the first Biscuiteers Icing School, so you too can learn to become a Biscuiteer. With our two hour classes, full on masterclasses or our DIY Icing Café, you’ll leave with lots of tips and techniques from our expert icers and, of course, biscuits.
Come and visit us for afternoon tea - a celebration of all things Biscuiteers and everything sweet, the tea includes miniature versions of our most loved cakes and patisseries in beautiful flavours, alongside our famous iced biscuits.
We had a lovely afternoon at Biscuiteers. Our afternoon tea was lovely. Great food and great service. Thank you
Definitely worth a visit, the shop and staff are adorable. Biscuits are fab but afternoon tea is not great. The scones a little stodgy and the cakes, apart from the rhubarb tart, tasted synthetic. Such a shame, everything else is so delightful.
I just felt that £30 was a bit expensive and i would recommend that you just go to the cafe and have tea and cakes and biscuits. I paid £120 for 4 people and that was too much for a scone, a daisy biscuit and a small selection of small cakes. There was nobody else there but we had a pleasant hour but not an Afternoon Tea as we know it.
Very nice cakes, but I would have liked sandwiches too
Exceptional customer care, beautiful presentation and so tasty! Really friendly and perfect for a special afternoom tea!
Had a wonderful time at Biscuiteers! Been to both locations and did two different experiences: one was the evening cafe with an instructor and the other was in the afternoon without an instructor. Both were great fun. I would recommend the 1.5 hour evening class first so you'll know what you're doing. At the Notting Hill location, Paola found out we were headed to Spain and wrote down things for us to not miss. Lots of great conversation, tea, and, as well call them here in the States, cookies.
Kids had a great time with the icing decoration. Very friendly staff.
I am a big fan of the Biscuiteers, I have the book and I love looking at their work on Instagram. I loved visiting the shop and felt really inspired by the beautiful creations on display. Unfortunately I felt terribly let down by the DIY icing experience. I had booked the experience on the basis that I would be able to sit and ice biscuits just like the Biscuiteers do. I know how to pipe and flood biscuits so for me this was an opportunity to get creative with the icing which I won’t often do at home because it’s time consuming to mix up all the different colours. When we arrived we were shown to a small area, the icing we were given was just for piping, had clearly been used by others and had no nozzles in the piping bag. When I asked about the flooding icing I was told I should have booked into a lesson and “we don’t do that” for the DIY icing experience. I tried to explain that I didn’t need a lesson and just wanted a chance to ice biscuits. I was thoroughly disappointed as the website advertises that it “includes all your icing materials”. It also boasts that you will have access to an “array of delectable decorations”, which was not provided. It became apparent that actually what we had booked onto is an experience designed for children. I felt frustrated and utterly disappointed when leaving the shop as I had travelled from Leicester to do this and the cost for two of us to ice the biscuits was £36. Sadly I will not be booking any further experiences with the Biscuiteers.
The sweets that were provided in the afternoon tea were very delicious, however it would’ve been really lovely to have some savoury options to balance out the sweet. Otherwise a wonderful experience.
My 2 children 11 and 19 yrs both enjoyed icing the biscuits. Would have liked some calm background music and perhaps some photo ideas to copy to give them a confident start. Really nice activity. We all enjoyed coming. Apparently the biscuits were delicious and had a lovely vanilla flavour.
We celebrated a babyshower there and it was absolutely lovely! The place is sooo cute and the afternoon tea was amazing - all the desserts were delicious. The service was flawless. The only comment i would add, as that they need to consider adding a couple of savoury items to their afternoon tea - maybe even just a couple of sandwiches as after eating too many sweet item, you need something savoury before you can go on again with sweets. It was loads of fun! Highly recommend it!
Although it was a lovely, unique experience and the food was of a high standard and delicious, it was slightly misleading to what I bought. I booked online and nowhere did it state that we would only get sweet treats- normal afternoon teas also offer savoury sandwiches etc so it would be good to highlight this on your site. Also as I booked within the Mother's Day Spring offer dates and paid £30pp. However when we arrived there was a leaflet on our table showingus the same tea experience with added prosecco for £30 so felt a bit cheated that this would be extra. It was overall a lovely experience for my Mum and I.
Fantastic morning icing biscuits at your Café. Helpful staff and beautiful shop. We also enjoyed delicious tea and cakes. Would totally recommend. Well done Biscuiteers.
We had a lovely trip to the DIY Icing Cafe, we enjoyed ourselves, but the cafe area is incredibly tight for space, and I felt the whole thing was a bit shoved up the corner. You get three biscuits each and the colours are pre mixed and there waiting for you, the colour selection was a bit limited and it’s felt a bit like someone’s leftovers. We had a coffee while we decorated but no one came and offered us anything else. Enjoyable but not special!
Fabulous way to start celebrating my besties birthday!
A great experience for a fund afternoon outing and they even had gluten free biscuits which was a massive plus!
we came for mothers day and did the biscuit icing for 4 people. There are three tiny tables at the back of the shop that are completely impractical for doing the icing, you can barely fit 4 people around the table let alone any drinks. Family next to us with 2 children having afternoon tea and quite frankly it looked dangerous trying to cram tea stands and hot water on the table with small children. The actual concept is sweet and biscuits and icing pens provided etc. Service slow, unethusiastic and very busy. When the lady came to take our biscuits to go into the oven she pulled the paper off the table knocking our carefully iced biscuits on the floor. No apology. After complaining she said oh ok well have another biscuit if you want. Wouldn't go back and whole experience has tainted my experience of the lovely website and product which I use often.
Lovely fun afternoon, girls loved the little boxes and bags for their cookies, loved colouring them in when they got home.
I was very disappointed by the afternoon tea I must say. The setting was not very nice and proves the power of Instagram shots over reality- we were in the same place as people who were icing their biscuits so it was messy and not particularly clean, and of course not a nice setting for afternoon tea. There were no sandwiches which was not made apparent on booking. And given it was a Biscuiteers afternoon tea it was odd there were only two biscuits between us. In short, it was overpriced for a very small afternoon tea, which was incomplete without sandwiches (I have never been to an afternoon tea without), and in a fairly unattractive setting. The staff were very polite but the entire experience was a massive disappointment, particularly as I had bought this for my friend for her birthday.
After booking this for a mother's day treat, I was very disappointed by the experience provided. I had read lots of mixed reviews online and the negative reviews sadly seemed to be correct. The selection of food was bad considering it was for 3 people priced at £90!!!!! It was very bad value for money. After asking for an allergy menu and explaining that I had a nut allergy I had to tell the waitress that the hazelnut cake had hazelnuts on top. We were sat next to the toilets where customers were coming in and out and there was no atmosphere at all. You claim to have a quirky vibe but that was lacking massively. I have wasted money that I have saved for a treat for my mum for us to only be dissapointed.
We had a wonderful afternoon at the DIY icing session- would highly recommend it to family and friends of all age groups!
It was such a lovely afternoon tea with fantastic service Thank you!
Thank you so much for being so accommodating and helpful during my son’s party! The staff was amazing and polite! We so appreciate their efforts! We will certainly book again next year! 😊
The staff were friendly enough and there are no issues with them specifically. The biscuits are amazing and I think the store is lovely but seriously needs some TLC, lights broken, wallpaper worn, chairs grubby and in need of a repaint, mirrors dirty, toilet messy/dusty. The tea was nice but £60 for two is excessive for what was there, it would be far better to have a few sandwiches which would be done at a fairly low cost and maybe cut back on the cake and reduce the total cost or keep it the same but add a glass of Prosecco. Im afraid I would not come again and I couldn't recommend to anyone else. Sorry.
Very disappointed with the 'icing cafe'. It was just a table, squeezed in the side of the shop and you can decorate 3 biscuits for the cost of the voucher. Not good value for money. Hot beverages ordered were also disappointing
