About Biku Restaurant
Biku blends together the unique combination of a tea lounge, restaurant, antiques and book store in Bali.
Inspired by Indonesia's unique cultures, Biku is an eclectic mix of old Indonesia with a modern touch. Located in Seminyak, Bali, Biku takes on a life of its own in a historic 150-year-old Teak Joglo from East Java. The joglo was once an antique store but has been converted into a restaurant and is now Biku.
We visited Biku several times this Bali visit. Every time was GREAT! We had 3 generations of family and all of us loved the food, the atmosphere and the service! Highly recommend
We had dinner here and loved every moment. From the decor to the food to the service, the whole experience was great. We went specifically to eat traditional Indonesian food and Biku did not disappoint. We would highly recommend the goat curry, beef rendang and lumpia. If you can't decide, the helpful staff will be more than happy to share their recommendations. Would definitely go here again next time we're in Bali, and have already recommended it to friends.
Had an afternoon tea and tarot reading at Biku cafe Fantastic food best expresso martini ive had All staff freibdly and helpfull Tarot reader was fantastic, warm and welcoming
Une des meilleures tables de Bali. Nous reviendrons manger chez vous la prochaine fois que nous viendrons sur Bali Un grand Merci à toute l’équipe Florian prudence
We dined at Biku for my birthday celebration and were wonderfully surprised to find balloons above our table and a happy birthday message. Besides this, I was presented with a birthday cupcake complete with candle by a member of staff and the owner Aisa who then led the singing! I was particularly touched by the personal, hand written card and very appreciative of the effort that had been put in. On the food side. I had a tasty home made chicken and leek pie which was delicious and my husband had the Beef Rendang which did not quite come up to his previous Rendang 6 year ago at Biku , which was the dry version of the dish. However, he declared it was the best coffee in Bali and better than most places in Sydney, renowned for its coffee snobs, so well done.
We have been to Biku before and enjoyed the. Is it with a group of 12, u this time only five of us. The visit was just a good, we love the level of service, the food and the eclectic items for sale. It is easy to spend hours perusing the antiques and the local products. You can also have a physic reading. Perhaps we will on our next visit. The princes, her family and staff do such a wonderful job providing such an oasis of luxury in Seminyak. Highly recommend.
Amazing place with Beautiful High Tea.
Quirky, unique atmosphere, nice place to sit and enjoy a meal for a while. I came in for afternoon tea and while the tea was delicious, the food itself was so-so. I think the biscuits should have been warmed up and more buttery/flaky. Way too much jam and whipped cream was served and I just hated wasting all of it. Curry puff tasted good but was too oily. Staff was friendly but almost too attentive. Stood nearby waiting for me to look like I might need help with something and they would jump in. It made me very conscious about my every action since they would literally stand close to the table waiting. Great location, in between other restaurants, cafes, shops, accommodation, and massage places.
Was a lovely high tea! Especially loved the Indonesian one!
Another fantastic visit. Am pleased to say have never been disappointed with a visit will be back again for visit number 5.
Celebrated my 70th birthday with high tea at Biku with family and cannot recommend it more highly. The online booking is very efficient and our preferred table was waiting for us upon arrival. After selecting our teas etc the delicious food arrived and the quality, freshness and taste was excellent. The arrival of a birthday cake (with song) was a lovely touch - and a good time was had by all, a big thank you to all concerned.
Absolutely a must on a visit to Bali I can't pass up and opportunity to do the high tea at Biku. This time with my 3 year old daughter they were absolutely amazing with her. Highly recommended
A trip to Bali isn’t complete without a trip to Biku. Love it. High Tea as usually was great. Tea and coffee were so good. Love our bone China. Looking forward to visiting next year again. So glad we found Biku many years ago.
Absolutely wonderful, a little elegance and sophistication with the Balinese touches. I’m in to experiences an this is always on my holiday to do list.
Love this place, always excellent service and the best food, keep up the good work!
Great as usual, love everything about Biku 😁😁
We went to Biku for my sisters 40TH. They went above and beyond to make her day special with balloons, birthday banner and a cupcake with a candle. The food was beautiful. Would definitely recommend and come back.
My first visit to Biku was for dinner, after having been enticed by seeing its dishes online. I loved it so much that I went back the very next evening! Everything - from the variety of delicious & well-priced menu items to the warm & friendly staff - was excellent. Recommended: corn fritters, poke bowl, barramundi and pavlova for dessert.
Biku is one of the best places to eat in Bali - the food is heaven, the decor is quirky and it has a cool old school vibe you don't get at many places in Bali anymore. The staff were so accommodating to my Vegan daughter. We even found a gorgeous bracelet amongst the array of locally-made goods on offer to buy. The bill was surprisingly tiny and we would highly recommend Biku to anyone visiting Bali for an authentic experience you won't soon forget.
I went to Biku for their Afternoon High Tea and ordered the Traditional High Tea. I didn't expect to get so many cakes, sandwich and desert, but i did! Other than that, Biku also has a wide variety of tea selections. I ordered their Masala Chai and it's one of the best masala chai i've ever tasted, and it comes in a tea pot, you can drink around 6 cups which is a lot. The staffs are courteous and even though i'm not a foreigner, they took care of me just like any other visitor, something that's lacking in Bali because often foreigners are prioritized more than locals. So, props to Biku for that!
Many thanks for the birthday cheer!
Very nice place, in particular for: - Excellent Nasi Campur Bali - Wonderful menu (so many nice things to choose from) - Nice selection of healthy menu (hard to find anywhere else in Bali) - Very friendly prices - Lovely hand wash gel (Thai spa's feel and smell like Harnn or Panpuri 😊)
The staff and management at Biku were great, we had 2 birthday guests, the staff sung happy birthday and we had a birthday banner and balloons and a cupcake for both birthday guests. Would highly recommend
Good food, excellent service & kids friendly. Will be back whenever I'm in Bali!
