About Biddy's Kitchen Aylsham
Biddy's Kitchen is situated in the quaint market town of Aylsham, North Norfolk. It houses the bakery that makes all of the treats for Biddys' Tea Room in Norwich
Specialising in serving over 50 blends of loose leaf tea, we serve Afternoon and Cream Teas daily and although there is not always a need to book. Doing so will ensure your table is ready.
We are located in the market place itself, directly before the church. We are approximately 1 mile from the National Trust property of Blickling Hall and under 10 from the North Norfolk Coast areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We have 3 dog friendly tables inside the Tea Room as well as a dog friendly courtyard.
The main part of Aylsham branch is on one floor with ramp access to the shop.
Outstanding experience. First visit and will be back for more. Already recommended friends and family to visit. Staff. Atmosphere. Food quality, quantity and variety. All exceptional.
We had a lovely time and were very impressed. We will definately return!
Very impressed. Delicious food. Great choices of teas. Enormous slices of cake!😊
Lovely meal and service. Soon moved us to a different table when I asked. Thank you!
Really love Biddys one of my favourite places
The best afternoon tea we’ve ever had,and plenty of it,so much so that we took our cake home, which the staff boxed up for us.The lavender scone was amazing 👍🏻We will definitely return.Thank you.
Easy to book online Good selection of delicious food choices Would have liked a bit more help with selecting a tea to drink but apart from that will definitely be going back!!!
Very helpful with booking thanks Great undisturbed service Can’t believe you had no earl grey tea! As the friend with me said to us - there’s a CO-OP opposite can’t they get some ! But the waitress did offer my friend ‘lady in waiting ‘ and she said it was lovely Seemed very busy for just one front of house server but as usual food fab - thank you , !
Love this place - the food is amazing!
A pretty venue with delightful food and service! A must of you are visiting Aylsham!
I’ve been before and loved it, however it feel short yesterday. staff were very slow, at points walking in and out of the kitchen past the counter and not even acknowledging we were waiting. A simple, ‘I’ll be with you in a minute’ would have been appreciated. The atmosphere wasn’t great in the tea room yesterday, another customer was over charged and as the tea is so small everyone in the tea shop heard about... also I asked for a salted caramel brownie and ended up with a peanut one - good job I’m not allergic to nuts! A shame as it’s put me off going back.
Had a fantastic afternoon tea, staff are very polite and quick at serving. Was nice we could take what we didn’t eat home too :) Thank you, will be back again!
Was perfect for a family event, all thoroughly enjoyed! Left more than full and with cake in hand!
Fantastic as always and accommodating with my dairy intolerance. Thankyou for a lovely afternoon tea yet again !
This was a birthday treat and we had a lovely afternoon - great selection of teas - wonderful staff - will definitely go back!
We had a super time thank you. Would it be possible for you to offer a ‘cake meze’? Saw it as an option at another place we visited. Your cakes look so delicious we wanted to eat them all this way we could try more of them!
Having only ever visited the Norwich branch we had a lovely experience visiting the Aylsham cafe with our 2 children aged 1 & 5. We had full afternoon tea for 2 plus a scotch egg & cheese scone. The sandwiches were delicious, particularly the goats cheese, honey & almond (very generous indeed with the fillings) and the lavender scone with lemon curd was divine. We prefer each being able to choose rather than the standard relatively boring dainty sandwiches you get with afternoon teas elsewhere. We were so full we didn’t manage to even start on our 2 cakes and they were nicely boxed up for us to take away and eat later (they were equally delicious). Good value. There’s not a great amount of room for high chairs however we found this store has a little more room and felt more child friendly than the Norwich cafe. The only slightly negative comment we could make is that we had to go to the counter to ask for cutlery however this was brought over immediately and the waitress apologised with a smile. All in all a lovely family experience, all left happy with full tummies and cake for later, five stars.
Fantastic! Thank you so much for accommodating us! Will be back!
Delicious food, lovely decor.
This was a gift and the team at Biddy's went above and beyond to accommodate and provide a wonderful experience! :) Thanks especially to Charlie who was so helpful too
Had a lovely afternoon tea again. The food was delicious as usual with very friendly service. It was very busy and as we were sat next to the counter we did fell a little hemmed in and looked over by the people queuing but otherwise had a lovely time.
The initial welcome was a bit frosty and when we ordered food, we were a bit indecisive and instead of recommendations, the member of staff just looked at us. However, the hospitality did warm up and the lady who brought our food out and cleared our table as we were leaving was very chatty and helpful.
The portion size of Millionaire Shortbread has noticeably got considerably smaller. However, I still love it.
Services is always good whenever I have been in biddys
