About Bewley's Grafton Street
Bewley’s Grafton Street, one of Dublin’s most iconic and celebrated landmarks, has reopened its doors. Following a multi-million-euro refurbishment, the much-loved café has been restored to create a bigger, brighter and better-than- ever customer experience.
As well as serving the very best coffees and teas, many elements of the original café have been carefully restored including the Harry Clarke windows, the historic front façade of the café and the open fireplaces. There are also many new additions to the café including the complete refurbishment of Johnson’s Court and an expanded in-café bakery which allows visitors to see some of Europe’s finest pastry chefs and bakers create the unique and delicious treats on offer, including the beautiful Bewley’s Café Gourmand, Coffee Opera Cake and, original favourite, the Bewley’s Mary Cake.
For over 175 years Bewley’s has had a special place in the hearts of Dubliners. Founded in 1840, Bewley’s is Ireland’s leading coffee and tea company. We’ve been perfecting the craft of tea and coffee making for many generations, from our humble beginnings in a little shop on Sycamore Alley in Dublin, Ireland, to the home and heart of our brand here in Bewley’s Grafton Street, and right through to our world-class coffee, roastery and tea blending facilities in North County Dublin, as well as in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Bewleys organised afternoon tea for 30 of us for my mother’s 80th birthday. It was the most fantastically well organised affair. I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the initial email, through to the last drop of tea, the entire team made us feel as if we were the only guests. Thanks Luighsighe and the rest of the team.
A wonderful experience, fabulous service, great food and a really nice festive atmosphere.
I went with a group of 14 ladies, we all had great food, service was very professional and the atmosphere friendly and cosy. I'll surely be back with another group! Elena
We were received warmly and seated very quickly. All seven of us had a lovely meal. It was a special birthday Well worth the visit from England. Thanks to all
We had booked brunch for 1.00 and arrived on time. We asked could we get our drinks BEFORE our food although we ordered at the same time. The waiter said this was fine. When ordering our main course (it said on the menu mains dishes available from 1.00) we were told the Chicken dish which we asked for probably wouldn't be available until 2.00 (he checked with chef for the first floor where we were seated who confirmed he wasn't in a position to make it yet) but the waiter, to his credit, said he would go downstairs and see if they would make it. He came back to say they would so we ordered two chicken dishes. In the meantime our drinks hadn't arrived. I had ordered a gin and tonic from the cocktail menu and eventually after 10 minutes or so the waiter came back to say there was no gin available in the building!! I reluctantly changed my order to Mimosa like my wife. Then our meals arrived from downstairs and we hadn't even received our drinks which eventually arrived half way through the meal. We had asked to receive these before the meal. The waiter was friendly and helpful but the whole experience was very disappointing and a bit chaotic. This is our first trip to Bewleys since it re-opened and we won't be hurrying back.
excellent sunday lunch with live music, great food, although menu could be more extensive.
Very enjoyable afternoon lovely atmosphere not rushed at all to leave
