A modern neighbourhood restaurant with classic values focusing on strong local and seasonal produce in a relaxed environment.
Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. They knew the answer to every question about the wonderful food. Also birthday card signed by Richard was a special touch, thanks.
I visited benedicts and had the 8 course taster menu, but was extremely dissapointed with the quality of the food. The first four courses were great, but then it went downhill from there. The two mains, chicken and pork were extremely bland and dry and were not what i would expect when you are paying £61 for the food. There are many far better taster menus on offer in Norfolk
Wonderful service. Food was delicious.
Lovely staff and lovely food
A wonderful restaurant for a special occasion. Service was second to none, the decor was gorgeous and the food was special. Don’t expect large plates of food; instead expect to be wowed by new tastes, unexpected ingredients and presentation. It was expensive but not ridiculously so. They cater for vegetarians and food intolerances well.
Excellent as always
Lunch date with the wife for her birthday, been several times before and always a relaxed and friendly dining experience, food amazing would highly recommend.
Outstanding food quality that confidently blends tastes to great effect. Joyous surroundings and crisp service to complement the very talented chefs and kitchen professionals.
Wonderful experience, particularly enjoyed the knowledge of the Sommelier. All staff were very welcoming. Equisite food in a relaxing setting.
Very good quality food and lovely service. Everything well prepared and served. We got slightly confused by the menu, but all explained & sorted easily. Quick service - not very long between courses. Very high quality facilities (super clean toilets etc.). A really lovely experience. Will come again.
Fantastic food and service, highly recommend going if you want something special and or different. Great quirky details. Only one very small niggle, portion size needs to be a fraction bigger.
Great wedding anniversary lunch. 3 course set menu was good value and sufficient to eat. The lemon tart is always gorgeous
Benedicts is, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Norwich. The food & service is always outstanding and they looked after my wife particularly well on what was our join birthday celebration lunch.
Delighted to find such a gem - wonderful food, great service and we had a brilliant evening. Will absolutely be going back!
Best place in norwich. What a treat to spend an evening here.
We had a lovely time, the food was outstanding, the service was friendly and efficient but not rushed. We’d love to come back!
The whole experience at Benedicts is always wonderful. We travelled from York to visit with my son and his partner from London and we all had a fantastic night. The food was beyond excellent, the staff exemplary as always and the restaurant atmosphere was just right. Our favourite place ! Just wished we lived nearer as we’d be there all the time !
Great staff food ambience . Nailed 💜
Another superb visit. Every detail was taken care of, and excellent service that sets off the amazing food. See you soon.
We had the best time. The food was amazing as always - an explosion of wonderful tastes - every dish so pretty to look at and a party for the tastebuds . But it’s more than that - the staff - particularly the girls were friendly and fun and well informed . We didn’t feel rushed or pressured at any time even when we were the last table in the place . You made a birthday even more special - thank you all so very, very much . We can’t wait to come back.
Another super lunch! We love eating at Benedicts.
Excellent night brilliant food and great friendly staff
Absolutely outstanding. My fiancée has coeliac disease, which you may or may not know is often linked to dairy intolerance through the damage it causes to the small intestine at a young age. Therefore, it is very difficult for her to eat out at some ‘fine dining’ establishments, some of whom flatly refuse to cater to certain dietary requirements (yes, really!) - contrast that to the incredible effort made by yourselves on Friday night; to you in the kitchen it may not seem a big thing, but she was genuinely overwhelmed with the efforts, even down to the (delicious) sunflower-based accompaniment to her gluten-free bread. This was the joint-best meal I’ve had since my move to Norwich a couple of years ago. And by the way, the other one was when I dined with you last year...
From front to back it was stunning and I cannot thank you enough. From the card on our table for my wife's birthday to the message on the plate. Also I also feel it is a gift to get people to eat what they would not ever order. For me that would Sea Trout, I have always maintained I would eat fish. I did and I would again. Every mouthful of every course took us to places we have never been before. Every member of front of house, engaged, attentive, passionate but not over bearing. Stunning. Thank you.
