A modern neighbourhood restaurant with classic values focusing on strong local and seasonal produce in a relaxed environment.
A really enjoyable evening. Good to see plenty of local products- enjoyed the smokey Norfolk whisky. Friendly and professional staff.
Perfectly cooked freshest codling. The haricot beans and sauce were wonderful but the ricotta cheese surround was too neutral in flavour. Superb cooking as usual. We try to come to Benedicts every time we are in Norfolk.
Great food , superb service
Super 7 course tasting menu, although quite expensive for what it is.
We had a terrific lunch here yesterday. Good value and fantastic service. Although the restaurant was full we never had to wait. Well done.
We had a lovely meal at Benedict's. Not only is the food interesting, modern and very tasty, but the service is excellent. The staff were very knowledgeable with the wine pairings for each course.
Had a fantastic evening, great staff and great atmosphere!
Lovely staff and the food was incredible! Had wine pairing with the taster menu! Stunning!
The waiting staff were friendly and very knowledgeable and helped to make the evening a very pleasant experience overall. A minor comment - could have been a bit more rhubarb content to the smoked mackerel starter.
Great food and a professional, knowledgeable and friendly front-of-house team.
It was my friends birthday and I wanted her to have a special evening. It was!she is on a vegan diet and I shared her menu. It was delicious and the staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. A great evening! Thank you.
Food is always amazing, and the staff always pleasant and obliging. I brought a friend for a surprise birthday 5 course taster lunch. Fantastic value, and the young waitress helped make it a brilliant experience for all 3 of us. Thank you!!
Food and wine superb service very good , s memorable evening. Thank you.
Simply sublime. Food was magnificent. Highly recommend the monk fish main and blood orange tart dessert. Service as ever was off the scale. Thank you so much for remembering us. Our favourite restaurant and we will keep coming back
Staff were very friendly and responsive. A credit to you.
Service was fantastic, some of the flavours superlative, some less so.
My husband treated me to the 7 course taster menu with wine on Saturday evening. I’ve been to Benedicts a few times and always absolutely adore it, but the menu on Saturday was truly stunning. The staff were also exceptional and I loved the entire experience. The best tasting menu I have ever enjoyed and can’t wait to return!
The main monkfish and mash was amazing!
We went For Sat lunch for. Birthday for my father and he had a very special day. Food service and overall experience was great. They went to great efforts to make it special for dad We will be back
Excellent. The wine flight was exceptional.
Lovely meal, very nicely prepared and presented.
This was our first visit to Benedicts but it won’t be our last. From start to finish, the whole experience was superb. A very friendly, relaxed atmosphere; attentive and knowledgeable staff, and food that was exceptional. Thank you.
We would have liked more choice of red meat on the menu. However, we very enjoyed the food, wine, service and atmosphere.
I was recently asked by a friend for my top restaurants in East Anglia. I named Benedicts as one of three (yes, please do ask) and today's meal confirmed that. The three course à la carte presented a range of tastes that went from delicious to sublime. The duck parfait as amuse-guele was so intense as to shock. Braised lamb rib a sublime combination of crispness, sweet fat and dark meat with an admirable beetroot puree - and crisp cockles so delicious I would have been glad to take a dish of them alone and go home happy. Then whole roast quail, pork and rosemary stuffing, like a departing taste of Christmas in miniature. Served on a spelt risotto packed with earthy flavour. Dessert was the accolade: a warm Eccles cake topped with strong blue cheese and served on a port wine sauce. Incomparable flavours. If they had opened the pearly gates then and called me, I would have run willingly since no future dessert is likely to better that.
