Natural lighting and a mesmerising backdrop, Bellini Bar on the Auckland Harbour is a sight worth seeing. The Hilton Hotel restaurant is full of glamour, offering a picturesque spot for a catch up over dinner and drinks. The menu has been created by Hilton’s Head Chef, and full of contemporary New Zealand cuisine like salt and pepper squid and pork belly sliders.
very attentive friendly service.
Tea was too cold by the time the milk sugar were given.
Will not be coming back here!! The service (or should I say lack of) was terrible. Upon arrival we were not greeted, we had to get staffs attention and even then without checking properly was told we hadn’t made a booking(even though we had clearly made a booking 1 month in advance, even received a call to confirm). Checked on once throughout the whole experience- the other times we had to wave a waitress down. Staff were fluffing about behind the counter. Our table had booked for a high tea at 12.45pm weren’t served until 2.30pm- with no apologies for the wait. During this time, some tables who arrived after us were being served. For the amount of time we had waited you would expect the food to be amazing, it wasn’t...average at best. Do not waste your money!
Overall an excellent experience and really good value for money. The service when we first arrived was a little slow but I think mostly due to a number of larger groups all booked at a similar time. All the staff were really lovely & friendly and the service standard improved after the initial delay. Such a interesting selection of treats for the High Tea, it was fabulous.
This was the second time I had gone for a high tea at Bellini. I raved about how great it was. This time, the service was the worst, when ordering drinks, we waited 30min for the first cocktail teaser, and they never came back to the table to take note. I went up to the bar atleast 5 times to ask for our teas, our cocktails, went to grab the water myself. The waitstaff were friendly but disoriented. One mumbled so much you could not understand a thing she said. The other two were nowhere useful but staying behind the bar. It was the worst service I’ve experienced in a long long time
Great atmosphere, service not great had to ask for wine, coffee. Scones hard and stale
Drink orders were not taken Very much left to fend for ourselves Was charged for my 2nd pot of tea, a change from my previous visit
Lovely pleasant ambience for High Tea. Everything was to a high standard and we will come here again.
My group of 3 for the High Tea were extremely disappointed at the lack of service we received. We were offered our first cocktail and food and then completely unattended unless we managed to catch the eye of someone. My two other friend were asked about their tea beverages and duly given their options but I was completely disregarded and in the end had to wave someone else down so that I could get my coffee. The whole experience was very disappointing and something we wouldn't have expected from the Hilton Hotel. We would certainly not recommend the High Tea experience to anyone. The staff obviously haven't been trained correctly.
Wonderful experience - celebrated my 50th with bubbly high tea, was awesome worth every dollar spent:)
It may have been due to where we were sitting, perhaps under an air-con vent, but I was freezing! Also we did have to wait a while for service, and when our food was delivered we were told someone would be over to talk us through the food - we waited a while, and then decided no one was coming so started eating. Someone eventually came over but we were halfway through the food (which was delicious) at this point. But my biggest issue was an atmosphere issue - the large screen TV was broadcasting CNN, which although I normally enjoy, felt was a bit much for a relaxing high tea. The headlines were focusing on Asian Hate Crimes in the US, and the TV was directly above a lovely hens do made up entirely of Asian women. It felt quite inappropriate to have that above their heads.
Our waitress Mia at our high tea was wonderful, and we were very well looked after. Please consider changing the options to include 1 cocktail or glass of wine with the high tea, as two of either is the least option, which is too many for most people, especially if you are driving home. Otherwise food was great.
We had a lovely high tea experience at Bellini. The vegan & gluten free options were amazing too!
Hi We had a lovely time at our Bellini High Tea the only thing was the service for drinks was a bit slow initially.
My best gf and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon (midweek) with cocktail samplers and high tea. It was such a divine experience with wonderful service and atmosphere. The high tea was also delicious with a great variety of taste experiences. I'd love to make this a regular event. Thougherly recommend.
Wonderful food and excellent service. Miles was most attentive and Daniel very welcoming. Lovely afternoon, will definitely be going back.
Everything was beautiful apart from the service unfortunately. Once we were seated it took at least a good time before some actually brought us some water. Also we felt that it did take an extremely long time to bring out our drinks - I understand we were a group of 8 but still that was too long. Also when we had ordered our second round of drinks which also took its time - the last drink to be served which I think might have been forgotten was a cranberry drink. We couldn’t understand why we were also asked by our assistant once we answered no to not having high tea here before then if she would then ask should I go through the options available? If we haven’t been then we don’t know It was I first time to the Hilton and we honestly did think the standard of service would be a lot higher. As I said in the beginning however the food and atmosphere was beautiful however the service let down the perfect score Thanks
You were just wonderful So attentive Made our friends 60th truly a special occasion
There is still room for improvement in respect of the provision of car parks such as during the weekends.
Overall a lovely afternoon spent. However, it would be nice if the gluten free menu included salt and pepper squid. Also an alternative to scones- we had 6 brownies and was a bit repetitive. The valet parking option should be removed from the website, as it is obviously not an option unless you are staying as a guest. Wasted 20 minutes sorting this out unfortunately.
Super helpful and great attention to our dietary needs.
Good high tea
Lovely Food, Great atmosphere, very Welcoming Staff. Loved it. Thank you Guys! We surely come back
Staff lack basic training, seem lazy and don’t want to be there. Literally waited 3 HOURS for someone to clear our table ??? So much for fine dining
