Natural lighting and a mesmerising backdrop, Bellini Bar on the Auckland Harbour is a sight worth seeing. The Hilton Hotel restaurant is full of glamour, offering a picturesque spot for a catch up over dinner and drinks. The menu has been created by Hilton’s Head Chef, and full of contemporary New Zealand cuisine like salt and pepper squid and pork belly sliders.
Filling and looked appetising, but we didnt enjoy all the foods. Savouries are better than sweets overall. Great service.
WE had a great lunch, the food was great and the service was lovely- friendly and really nice. Thank you
Despite there being plenty off staff we constantly had to ask for things. We were not offered any tea even though it was a high tea!!
Would have been a bit nicer to have had the scene more intimate, even if it was only high tea, but overall it was lovely. Great staff, very attentive and great food. We upgraded to get the cocktail teasers - so glad we did!
We had excellent service from both waiters and from the staff who I dealt with on the phone the day before. It was an experience that exceeded my expectations.
Amazing experience with our wedding proposal using the Bellini Cafe. The team were extremely helpful and accomodating to our requirements. Thank you!
Great view, good food , winter set menu is great value.
What a great service we had. The food its just perfect and on point. I will be back soon.
Very good service by staff.
Had the most amazing wedding anniversary at Bellini. The staff were super friendly and welcoming - they even went out of their way to bring us chocolate for our anniversary which we weren't expecting. The food was exceptional and was the perfect portion size. Would 100% recommend!
Great menu, good value... and an extensive cocktail list
Appreciate if next time they let us choose where to sit since there were many unoccupied seats with tables and chairs instead of couches since it’s hard to eat a meal in the couch area.
Thank you for lovely experience, the variety of treats were first class. The outlook and atmosphere was lovely. Have recommended this to several friends already. Thanks again.
Atmosphere was very nice, for high tea we were seated in a nice corner of the restaurant, beautiful views and seating. Critical feedback regarding the food I have is that on the day (Friday 31 July 1:30pm) one of the guests for my high tea was Gluten Free and Vegetarian. I promptly informed Bellini well before the 48 hour period. The food however was less than what the two other guests and I received for the Twisted High Tea. The two other guests and I were vegetarian and the amount of food was expected. For the guest who was GF and vegetarian it almost seemed as if their high tea was ours minus the options such as scones and other savouries that contained gluten rather than a full substitute. In this instance it was a lot less value for money for the gluten free and vegetarian guest. It was as if the food served for the GF +Vegetarian was a half meal of sorts with items missing when we'd have expected appropriate substituted versions of gluten free and vegetarian options. Either the GF and Vegetarian option should have proper substituted options/versions or more of the same savouries or a lower price than the vegetarian option as it substantially less food. Positive feedback regarding the Twisted High Tea: the vegetarian high tea we had (and the ones given to the gf and vegetarian guest) were delicious, tasted fresh, excellent flavour combinations for the savouries and the sweet foods were also delicious and well made with a variety of different desserts. Vegetarian option Twisted High tea was excellent, cocktails variety was made to perfection strong and flavourful as well as tea selection Professionalism - unforuntately we heard two glasses break at the bar while we were there in about 2 hours. Service: We wish the waiter when serving the high teas gave us a brief description of the foods served so we knew exactly what we were eating rather than trying to deduce it from the standard high tea menu. We also wish she had been a little more attentive so we didnt have to feel awkward trying to get her attention when needing to order more drinks. Perhaps on that day Bellini was short of staff? It didn't look particularly busy but a more attentive service with simple questions such as what is the occasion, is there anything you would like etc would have been nice given Bellini is in the Hilton a world renowned hotel The positives was when i asked for a last minute guest add on who had dietary requirements and allergies I was politely refused with clear reasons but given the option of the extra guest being able to order of the all day dining menu which I think was accommodating and kind.
Lovely high tea. Good selection of food and teas. Great views and relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely do it again.
I would have preferred more savouries over sweets The saviouries was very yummy. My friends loved it as well.My dietary requirements was fully met. Thanks to the team. Amazing customer service. Impressed
There are no staff as the receptionist to welcome and serve the customer. Not a good customer service experience overall.
lovely location and staff were delightfully friendly and helpful. the tea coffee and hot chocolate were great however though the food and presentaion looked pretty i found the tastes disappointing. With the savoury selection we would have like more variety as three of the 4 options offered were toppings on french toast. the spinach ball had a odd taste we couldn't quiet place ( we were worried something was off), everything was was served at room temperature. As it was a cold rainy day some hot morsels would have been lovely. The scones were small hard and dry and there was nothing to go with the savoury one and the sweet one had very ordinary cheap jam. I was expecting a high end jam. With the sweets, I enjoyed a berry type mouse, but the other stuff not so much. the chocolate mouse didn't have much chocolate flavour and was runny, not set at all The lemon tart was dissapointing, and looked like a pre prepared tart base with lemon honey plopped in it with a under cooked meringue on top and was sickly sweet. There was a supposedly pear and chocolate tart/ cake that i couldn't taste either pear or chocolate, and it had a gluggy coarse home made quality, rather than a delicate exquisite little morsel that I had hoped for. The food wasn't awful, just underwhelming and to much the same, and didn't feel value for money at all.
We have now been back to Bellini multiple times to celebrate birthdays and your Champagne high teas have been absolutely perfect. Everyone has loved it. Well done to the team. 🥂
We celebrated a High Tea Baby shower at Bellini a few weeks ago and had the most wonderful afternoon. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the high tea delicious. The staff were very accomodating with our requests to decorate and were very quick to respond to all of our queries beforehand. They were also able to cater for our varied dietary requirements. My one recommendation to the restaurant was that they inform customers beforehand if their time at a booked table is limited. We were unfortunately only told on arriving that our table was only available to us up until a certain time as another booking was coming in. We managed to resolve things by moving to another area but it was an unnecassary hiccup on the day. Everything else was perfect!
The savouries for the high tea were great, especially since I have a tomato allergy and so the tomato salad was swapped out for a wonderful stew- I really appreciated that. The sweets however were really bad, the scones were burnt and like little biscuits. The plain scone was just a biscuit really, and the cheese scone tasted extremely weird. Almost all the desserts were either plain or just not enjoyable. There was a weird chocolate mouse that tasted like banana, and a raspberry cheesecake that mostly tasted like burnt lemon. There was also a large banana slice that was just so plain I didn't bother finishing. The sweets and scones are such an important thing in hight tea so that was a disappointment, but definitely keep a hold of the savoury chef! The pulled beef on kumara was to die for. And the tea selection as lovely, as was the service. Just definitely need to work on scones and desserts.
Great service. Food was served quickly. Staff knew the menu. Lovely setting and comfortable chairs.
The staff was so courteous and pleasant. Thank you for the complimentary anniversary choc treats. Definitely we will come back again. Next time we will try the high tea next month. Thank you and More power😍
Very accommodating for two coeliac diners - but best to call first and pre select your meal to ensure you get it!
Hi I have been to a number of High Tea's with my family. We go every year for Mother's Day. We delayed it this year because of Covid. We normally go to Cordis but thought we would give you a try. We were very disappointed. The staff were very helpful but just a bit lacking detail. We were seated well and the lady provided us with a baby chair. She took our order including champagne. After 10+ minutes of waiting we then had to catch the attention of another waiter to ask where they champagne was. When the food came out the 2nd lady wasn't overly confident on what all the items were. There was an item of beef on the plate which we dont eat. I thought I had indicated I dont eat this on booking. The male staff was good about swapping this out to something else on the menu. The biggest disappointment was the food. the scones were hard as cookies. The savory scones were flat and dry. The savory items could were very underwhelming. The sweet items were ok, but lacked the finesse and class of Cordis. Overall I am not happy to be leaving such feedback but it was such a poor experience that I feel compelled to. When leaving I said to the staff we were not overly happy. They sighted Covid and the regular kitchen being closed - not a good reason to serve (and charge for) average food. On the positive side they did give us a complementary glass of bubbles.
