As one of the best steakhouses in Dublin , Beeftro aim’s to bridge the gap between laid-back bistro dining and steakhouse meaty goodness. Beeftro has nudged its way in with a relaxed restaurant that prides itself on serving the best steak in Dublin.
The ‘1930s retro’ look is bright, clean and stylish, which steers well-clear of the usual macho steakhouse clichés. Beeftro prides itself on serving prime cuts of beef from stockman selected Irish Cattle sourced form the Scarlet Heifer Butchers. Our staff are friendly, efficient and well-versed in the intricacies of our steakhouse menu. All steaks are cooked to order, to deliver the best results and flavour.
Most people only know about the classic meat cuts when talking about steak. At Beeftro, we choose to do things differently by offering a selection of cuts that are as delicious and as tender as the traditional ones. As meat experts, we believe our job is also to make our customers discover new things every day. Our carefully designed and patented ovens create the perfect conditions to achieve incredible and instantly recognisable flavours and texture; the cooking at very high temperature allows for our steak to be crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside.
Because not all meat cuts taste the same, we have elaborated a secret ground beef recipe for our burgers. We only want top quality ingredients at Beeftro steakhouse and that’s the reason why all of our burgers are made with 100% muscle meat. No ground beef from trimmings at Beeftro. Beeftro can proudly boast one of the best burgers in Dublin as voted by Lovin Dublin
When sourcing top quality steak there are many critical points to consider. Race, age, sex and feed of the animal are all characteristics of the meat quality. The cooking method, time of cooking, resting time and quality of the knife used all make a huge impact on the steak eating experience.
Excellent food and friendly staff.
One of our favourite Dublin restaurants. Great food and a great welcome every time.
Friendly intimate atmosphere
Mixed bag. Food decent and well priced given the location. Atmosphere was loud and noisy, but that was a one off as there was a lot of post match attendees and alcohol was consumed. Service was probably the biggest let down. At the start it was attentive but did go down hill. After a long wait to get a dessert ordered, and even longer to get the bill, we resorted to taking the bill to the till in order to get paid. We weren't the only ones to do this.
I've been to Beeftro in dundrum on numerous occasions and have loved it. Pretty disappointed this time. The staff were lovely but the restaurant was quite smokey so was a bit unpleasant. The voucher said four course... not really sure what the fourth was! And the menu we were given was different to the menu on pigsback! The steak was excellent as usual though.
Best steak ever
Had a lovely meal here on Saturday night with the other half. Very efficient service and the waiter also had a bit of craic with us which is nice and not like the sometimes robotic service you can get in other restaurants. The food was fantastic and filling. We both had the french onion soup to start and fillet steak medium to well and it was perfectly cooked. For dessert I had the sundae which had pecans and honeycomb. It added a nice crunch which is different. Will definitely be returning!!
Service was very good, and the food was well-cooked and quite delicious but one would have liked more variety. Steak with chips or steak with potato puree just doesn't meet the price asked for. The steak was good but it wasn't exceptional, and in not being exceptional needs to be complemented by other foods on the plate. General feeling was that it just isn't worth the money, and the quality of the wine for the price asked for felt like a real rip-off.
Went to Beeftro for our Christmas night out. The smell of burnt steak was everywhere in the air. Starters were good. Main courses very poor- over cooked medium steak served on a cold plate, no trimming. Very poor presentation. Ribs, again over cooked served with sloppy mash that looked and tasted most unappetising. Desserts were good. When we got our bill there were 2 extra bottles of wine on the bill that we didn’t have. How did this error occur? Was it intentional and we were supposed to be too tipsy to notice??
Once again a superb meal!!!!
Ah. A very indifferent experience. Wait staff not that interested. Steak well below the usual high standards. Green beans inedible. Is the Dundrum franchise just better? I'd be slow to go back to Balfe St again. On the plus side, they had the regular menu - which is a lot more than can be said for other restaurants in town at this time of year.
Nice staff and tasty food. Early bird menu is good value, otherwise a little expensive.
Burger delicious and service excellent
Fantastic food, great service and lovely atmosphere! The steak and wings in particular were delicious. We will definitely return
Enjoyed french onion soup and rump steaks on the early bird. Nice Parisian atmosphere
Awful quality food
Great steaks and great service as always.
we had purchased a taste voucher and so were extremely happy with the value for money
Beautiful food excellent service enjoyed it very much!
First visit. Really enjoyed it. Food was delicious. Good service too.
I was disappointed by the red wine list. Additionally, I ordered my steak "medium", but it arrived "medium-rare". I did not send it back as I did not want to make a fuss. Nevertheless, as a steakhouse with prices to reflect same, not cooking the steak to order seems to me a culinary cardinal sin.
Excellent service, lovely atmosphere and very nice venue. Very tastefully decorated. I wouldn't hesitate recommending to friends. Keep up the good work and the high standard!!
