About Beaucliffes Restaurant
: Located at Porth Veor Manor Hotel on the outskirts of Newquay in Cornwall, Beaucliffes Restaurant is open to both hotel guests and non-residents. The restaurant occupies a light and airy conservatory overlooking the hotel gardens and beach at Porth. Serving continental and full Cornish breakfasts and dinner, Sunday lunches and special occasion meals, the restaurant chefs strive to include plenty of locally sourced seasonal ingredients in the varied menus. Freshly cooked specialities include seafood dishes, fillets of west country meat, vegetarian and gluten free options. A children’s dinner menu is also available with earlier sittings. Advance booking is recommended.
Lovely location Extremely friendly and efficient staff a credit to themselves and you Will be back
The food and service was superb would go back again when in the area
This is a really good restaurant. The food and the service is first rate.
Great views, food and service
The food was lovely; the service was very good and had we found the Restaurant earlier in our stay in Newquay we would have made another visit.
Thank you for helping us arrange a golden wedding celebration. Lovely venue and great service
We were pleased with the whole experience. The food was lovely the setting overlooking the bay was super and the staff very friendly . We will return especially once the new villas are open. Helen and Dave.
Another excellent Sunday lunch. Thank you. See you again soon.
Very good food and great service, especially loved the fillet steak! Bravo
Excellent value for money and fantastic staff. Will certainly visit again soon
One of our favourite restaurants. Never disappoints. Staff are always hospitable, friendly and efficient. Good choice of menu and food delicious, excellent chef. View is stunning. I only gave 4 star for atmosphere because the restaurant deserves way more people. We love it. Thank you.
Meal was lovely
Lovely food excellently presented. Fabulous attentive staff. Would recommend to anyone.
Our stay was absolutely brilliant we loved every minute the staff were extremely helpful and the standard of the restaurant food was superb will definitely be back
Apart from a few glitches with the restaurants computer system, our recent booking for lunch for 25 was handled very well. The food was excellent, as was the service, and the surrounding area will be even more attractive when the building work is finished! We will definitely consider the Beaucliffe for our lunch again next year.
We left before our reservations started. It's certainly a place for an older crowd.
I am a regular visitor to Porth Veor Manor . At this time visit slightly spoilt by the building works but when out walking the coast all is still fine . I will be returning to the hotel later in the year .
Food lovely and superb setting. Only comment - the monkfish dish would have been nicer with a sauce. Everything else during our 4 meals at Beaucliffes was lovely. Staff were good and Aaron our waiter for most of the time really tried to make everything perfect for us
Thank you for the delicious Mother,s Day meal with beautifully set tables and first class service. I hope you don,t mind me saying, but having two vegans in the family, the Sunday lunch menu is very limited for them. As it is Sunday lunch maybe a nut roast could be added. Everything else was perfect and we had a lovely day. Once again a very big ‘Thank you’
Excellent food, beautifully presented, fillet steaks were fabulous, lovely starters and deserts. Restaurant a liitle cold at our corner table.
We stayed at The Porth Veor Manor, and ate both Breakfast and Dinner in Beaucliffes Restaurant. The Dinner was Exceptional, both the Quality and Freshness were Superb, as was the execution of the dishes, ( The Monkfish and Gurnard were both excellent) the portions were ample yet attractively plated.. The service was perfect. Breakfast was again a joy, with once again excellent quality of products, (best sausages ever). A truly memorable stay.
Lovely hotel which initially we were disappointed with as our room was so small and not a good view. As it was a special birthday we asked for another room. The staff could not have been more helpful and found us a better room immediately. This made the world of difference to our stay. We would definitely recommend the restaurant as the dinner was superb! Such delightful little touches with each plate. We managed to see the chef on duty that evening before we left and we were able to thank him personally. This chef will go far! He's got all the details just right. All in all a memorable 3 days away in a quiet location (despite the building going on) which did not disturb us at all. May I suggest the reception area be in the main hall which would add to the welcoming atmosphere which we found a little jaded. Would definitely return to this hotel.
So looking forward to coming but sadly disappointed with quality of food service and hotel looks in need of updating in my opinion. Previous visits several years ago were far superior which is a shame.
We stayed for two nights and the food exceeded our expectations. It really was top class and excellent VFM. The service was also very good being both professional and friendly. If we were in this part of Cornwall again we would definitely eat here again.
Everything was lovely and the staff were so friendly, we really enjoyed our stay, thank you.
