They say you’re a product of your environment. That makes us pretty unique. Farmers markets. Street trading. Spinningfields.
We’ve covered all bases. That means we’ve got to know local suppliers who deliver local produce. Our partnership with Noones and Althams Butchers, means your food doesn’t travel far from field to fork.
We’re proud of what we do and we’re even prouder of what we use to do it. We want our guest to know how their food ended up in-front of them. What was involved in the journey from field to fork.
We’re excited by food and we want to share this excitement with everyone eating at our restaurant. Our Chefs table allows you to sit in the belly of the beast and watch your meal be prepared in front of your eyes, allowing the process and the product to become one.
Spurred on by hunger and a race against the clock, we understand that when you need to eat you need to eat. If your journey takes you via Spinningfields then why not stop by for a great British brunch or lunch.
Everyone is crazy over our brunch menu. Try our own take on the classic eggs benedict, buttermilk pancakes or eggy bread sandwich, or if you’re after a more substantial dish then tuck into one of our full British breakfast options. We take brunch very seriously!
At Beastro we don’t plan on getting in-between you and your stomach. We want to give you what you need with the least amount of fuss, without compromising on quality or quantity.
Meat. Grab. Go.
The day’s toil is over and night has arrived. Food is no less important than it was when the sun was shining, but now there is time to savour and experience our restaurant’s new dinner menu.
When the moon comes out our menu takes on a different dimension. It is transformed into a story; a tale of craftsmanship, passion and community.
watch your meal be prepared in front of your eyes, allowing the process and the product to become one.
A Bite of the Beast
Lovely food and service! Food is always fresh and James is pleasant and makes the trip enjoyable! One of my favourite places in Manchester!
First visit, won’t be the last!
The location is good and the decor is good for a morning, breakfast and brunch type location. The service was a bit slow and the food was sub-par. Beans were served lukewarm and the toast was rock hard - almost as if it had been sat too long on a hot plate ready to leave the kitchen. Nobody came to check if the food was good after it had been served and the portions were quite small.
brilliant service, wonderful place
The food is incredible and the team are amazing.
The food was of a high quality, especially given the free steaks deal. The staff member (the manager, I presume?) was very friendly and appeared to be very knowledgable. We'd definitely return here.
Stated on website Sunday lunch served 1-5pm so booked for 1pm expecting Sunday lunch, however kitchen wasn't ready so had brunch which was lovely but not what I had anticipated and i had to eat again later ehich i hadnt planned so was very disappointed. We were offered a free drink as apology.
Lovely food, great deal (free steak when you buy a bottle of wine) and dog friendly. I did find the service a little slow at the end when we wanted the bill, it was difficult to catch the waitress' eye and considering there were only 4 tables in (including us), I felt this could have been better. I also thought it was odd that the restaurant was practically empty and they chose to sit two guys on a table right next to us where the seating arrangements made it difficult for us to stand up / sit down without knocking into one another, especially since we had the dog with us. That said, I couldn't fault the food, it was well made and came quickly, it was really interesting to be talked through our meat platter that we had for starter and how all of the meats were locally sourced (I didn't know they cured meats in Manchester!) and it was very reasonably priced.
The chef's tasting menu (curated by Celine overseen by James) was fabulous. Highlights included a super pearl barley risotto with mushrooms (and blue cheese ?); ox cheeks; mackerel with beetroot (beetroot & potato salad plus a creamy beetroot sauce, wow; the apple pie dessert with toffee sauce was great. If there is better food in Manchester, I do not know where it is.
Fabulous friendly staff - great service food is amazing
The food was cold. Booring dishes. But the vegan hotpot was the best thing that night, real good!
We must have booked the on the quietest day in Manchester - or just picked the quiet time between lunch and evening service - but we had the place to ourselves for practically the entire time we were there, which took a little away from the atmosphere, but this is a venue we’ll be returning to a few more times yet. Service was friendly, polite and helpful - never rushed and always available. Our party of 4 enjoyed 3 courses - starters and mains were generous portions, but with sticky toffee pudding and the chef’s own take on Manchester tart, there was no way we were missing out on afters! Hopefully next time there’ll be a few more people in to create a bit more buzz about the place - it’s a nice sized venue and a decent layout. We will be back!!!
Now becoming a regular place for us to eat. The food is high quality but easily affordable. Just the no nonsense place to go to if we have had a hard day and we don’t like the thought of cooking.
Excellent staff, excellent food, excellent service!
The experience was very nice and value for money, it was let down by the fact that we were not informed about the lack of Ultimate Chocolate Cake until we ordered deserts, even though we had opted for two courses main & desert.
It was a Wednesday evening, so we had the bottle of wine with Steak and Chips offer. We added a side of broccoli. It was really good and we are certain to do this regularly. Why cook yourself when you can eat at this quality and for this price on your way home? Its almost France.
We always seem to have an issue when we come over for lunch. The food takes a long time to arrive so it makes it tricky for lunch breaks from work. Also we ordered 2 of the same meals then were offered complementary fries as we had apparently only ordered one portion, we did order 2. We do love the food, but just find its always a bit too slow
Really great service, the lady was very friendly and welcoming. The food was great too. Would definitley go back and definitely recommend :)
Met a friend here for lunch, delicious food and cert reasonably priced. I had three roast chicken dip which was super tasty! Only downside is we had to wait quite long for the food to come.
Your value for money is excellent and on the whole it was great. Where you did fall down was service is really slow and the waitress took a while to take our order and when it did come parts of the meal were a bit cold. My friend absolutely loved hers though and mine was tasty.
Lovely food and attentive, friendly staff. Looking forward to trying the Tasting menu".
Fantastic as usual! Our favourite restaurant in the whole of Manchester.
We had a really great experience. We had a large booking and had to make a few late changes. We were also on a tight schedule. We were able to pre-order, the staff were really accommodating, very friendly on the phone, looked after us really well. What could have been stressful was made very enjoyable. Oh, and the food was great too! Everyone wanted to leave compliments to the chef!
HONEST, PASSIONATE AND GREAT FOOD. It's nice to support an independent family run restaurant in the heart of the city. You feel welcomed throughout your stay, service is excellent and the food and wine is fabulous. See you all again soon.
Amazing food, lovely service, highly recommended. My wife and Mum had a fab Mothers day. Thanks!!
