About Bayley Lane Kitchen
We are not your typical high street bar, our passion is in the food that we serve as well as the drinks that we pour. Our food is cooked fresh to order, made on site or locally sourced. Our chefs take inspiration from around the globe.
I visited with my partner, best friend and her partner, to celebrate our 30th birthdays. We had a brilliant evening, the food was lovely and the staff were so friendly. Our waiter was great and catered to myself being a fussy veggie very well. Thoroughly enjoyed the night. My ONLY criticism was that the cheesecake came out with so much chocolate sauce on the plate that I didn't enjoy it
What a wonderful place gorgeous food and sitting opposite the sevice pass for the kitchen you get to see the gorgeous food being served.
Decor and siting of restaurant excellent. Serving staff friendly and efficient. Menu limited and food only average. Cannot see how menu "takes inspiration from around the world" as most items found on pub food menus everywhere ( and often much cheaper and better cooked )
Me and my mum visited Bayley Lane for Mother’s Day. The service was fast and effecient and the staff were polite but didn’t bother you during your meal which I prefer. The food was amazing, we could not fault it. We also loved the cosy atmosphere. I’d definetly return!
Thankyou for a wonderful Mothers day dinner, everything was spot on! Great food great service cheers to all at Bayley lane!
I brought my mum for mother’s day and from the staff to food the experience was amazing, food was Sunday lunch and the beef melted in your mouth. The staff were very friendly and looked after us very well and catered for all our needs, our waiter I’m not sure of his name but he had a Russian accent was fabulous and looked after us. Definitely go again as I think I’ve found my new favourite place
Really enjoyed the food
Really nice food, a reduced menu but covers all choices to allow the chef's provide amazingly cooked dishes. Will be back soon
Needs a children’s menu! Although can offer smaller portioned meal from the main menu, these aren’t child friendly options.
Waiting staff weren't very friendly and were very slow ! Seen the chef touch 3 different types of food with his bare hands too not good ! Very disappointed
Five of us were celebrating a birthday and the Cocktail making class was a fun way of spending a couple of hours in the afternoon. Our private bartender Paul was polite and engaging, and the Cocktails were as easy to make as they were delicious to drink. Would we do it again, oh yes.
Lovely evening and very friendly and helpful staff!
Polite staff. Hassle free dining.
Fanatic all round,us ladies had a great time, can't wait to visit again, highly recommend
This is my third time of visiting. The food was amazing, fantastic choice of drinks. Staff were lovely and very friendly. My only negative comment is that one of the waitresses didn't speak very good English and subsequently she wrote down the wrong order for one of the ladies and she then had to wait 10 mins for her dinner to arrive at which point we had all practically finished eating. Also we asked for certain condimemts which we had to repeat three or four times and then one of them was incorrect. Other that that we really enjoyed our visit and will be back.
Didn't even get to eat. Three of our party of four are Coeliac and require a gluten-free diet. Typically we go to Nandos but we had two special birthdays to celebrate and fancied something nicer and more upmarket. A quick google of "gluten-free restuarants in Coventry" gave us Bayley Lane. I checked out the website and it looked perfect - a proper restaurant with a separate, colour-coded, relatively extensive gluten-free menu. We book for 7pm and turned up on time. We got shown to a small table (looked like a table for 2 rather than 4), tucked into a corner next to the open kitchen and under a large and very loud speaker. Indeed I could not hear my wife sitting opposite me. But we could maybe have lived with that. The waiter brought the menus - and I asked for 3 of the separate gluten-free menus. He looked non-plussed, went to check with someone else and came back saying they didn't have any. At this point, another waiter arrived with a scrappy old menu that had "GF" written in biro by a couple of dishes. He then proceeded to tell us that we couldn't have any of the bread products or burger buns because they didn't have any. Still trying to make the best of a rapidly poor situation, we figured that we could at least have steak and chips. But no. The waiter told us the chips weren't gluten-free either. At that point we got up and left. A total waste of time and effort. If you can't provide clients with gluten-free food then you shouldn't proudly display otherwise on your website. I drive 120 miles from Surrey for that waste of time so thanks very much.
Great service, friendly staff and a scrumptious food!
3rd visit for myself & my husband, first for our friends. Service - We were greeted straightaway and table was ready early although we were able to enjoy a drink first. Waiting staff didn't really interact with us or make any suggestions. We were not offered a dessert menu. Disappointed that there were no specials but the food we did have - antipasti, burger, steaks and swordfish - was excellent.
Staff, service, food and cocktails all excellent! Will definitely go again!
I’ve been to Bailey lane a fair amount of times and I wasn’t that impressed this time round. The food wasn’t as good as I’ve previously had. I found the waiters customer service quiet poor, for some reason I felt uncomfortable during my latest visit to Bailey lane. I think it’s important to ID people for drinks before taking the whole tables drinks and then hovering over to see who is drinking what. If the waiter didn’t feel comfortable with serving a table that had 4 over 25+ adults and 4 adults in their 20s he shouldn’t have given us the drinks. It just made a meal uncomfortable. I’m disappointed and sadly the people who i’d raved to about it, won’t be returning or recommending it, which is a shame.
Fantastic time had by both of us , from arriving to leaving ,The staff are a credit to the owner.
The food and drink was excellent, the staff were pleasant and professional. I would definitely return again and recommend to friends.
There was no indication of a Valentine’s Day set menu which was disappointing upon arrival and difficult with limited dishes, also no pricing on the menu was a shame
Friendly staff and great food
