Food was lovely as was atmosphere waitress amazing!!
Amazing food and brilliant service
An excellent venue and a very good meal.
Food was very nice although took a long time to arrive at the table after ordering. We ordered a bottle of prosecco but were told they had sold out which was disappointing. Overall a nice evening.
Staff were very nice and attentive, building is very impressive but not many customers. Taster menu not available even though the other menus and a flyer on the table refer to it. Some of the portions e.g. fish pie and lamb were very small. All tables seem to be accessed by several steps a customer struggled to get to their table because of this. Overall, lovely setting, nice staff but food not good value for money sadly.
Excellent service food was lovely, but the price was quite high
HAD A GREAT MEAL ENJOYED OUR VISIT MANY THANKS STAFF WERE GREAT
We were especially impressed by the service and great food!
Worst place we've been. Reservation booked for 7.30PM. Manager was apologetic and explained a group birthday party were taking a while to leave so provided a couple drinks on the house whilst we waited. Finally got seated at 8.45PM and waiter took our order. Waiter came over a couple times to say the food was on the way but after another hour of waiting and no sign of the £5 basket of bread, we decided to leave. Manager saw us get up, said the food was being plated up and asked us to stay but it was too late. When he found we weren't sticking around he walked off without saying a word. Complete waste of time.
We visited Barristers' Restaurant at The Court House on Saturday 15th September for a pre-wedding celebration (not a hen do!). The service from Ruben, Rui and staff was second to none: we had the greatest afternoon, and the food was tremendous too! We hope now to revisit for a staff Christmas meal in December. Highly recommended, ooh and very classy décor too"
Interesting and historic building - great atmosphere, a varied menu with something for everyone, the food was very good but you will have to wait for things to be freshly cooked - however it is worth the wait - the staff were very friendly and helpful, would recommend a visit!
I bought my wife for afternoon tea and although the food was nice and service was excellent I did think £46 was too much. I have done afternoon tea in several other venues and they too have provided quality afternoon tea but at a much more reasonable price
We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch yesterday. The restaurant was like no other i have visited being an old court room but it has been perfectly adapted. The food and service were excellent.
Nice surroundings so plenty of potential to be a great top restaurant. Unfortunately prices are top and everything else is just adequate.
The food was absolutely superb, we had the mushrooms for starters followed by the roast beef. I could have eaten the mushrooms three times over they were that good. The roast beef just melted in your mouth, honestly the best roast beef I’ve had in a long time. Unfortunately it was let down by very slow, inattentive service. We waited a long time to have our order taken, so much so we ordered everything all at the same time. This included bread which is billed on the menu as something to nibble on while looking through the menu. The server did not know then menu which I found disconcerting. There was simply no connection between us and the server which was a real disappointment. The staff just seemed to be very disorganised and I could not see anyone trying to manage them in a way to aid them in being more productive. That being said I’d go back....but it would be for the food only.
The whole experience was extremely good, the food excellent but the staff outstanding.
Little tight with the tables on the top row Very attentive staff making sure your night was enjoyable Superb Dao Portuguese red
The service was very slow considering there were 3 servers and 2 tables with customers. The was not enough sandwiches not value for money.
Excellent Sunday lunch, quality ingredients well cooked and beautifully presented. Great friendly attentive service, the whole party of guests were impressed. Thank you,
My first visit to dine, but won't be the last. Added now to my short list of preferred options among the many places to eat in Knutsford. After 40 years living in Knutsford I'm delighted and relieved to see this iconic building brought back to life, adapted sensitively and put to good use.
First time here not bad but some fine tuning needed. Will most probably give it another go in about six months to see if any better.
Great atmosphere and ambience They really have done a great job in decorating and restoring the original features of the Courthouse. Food is delicious every time we have eaten here. This time was extra special as we were tasting our wedding menu :-) Cannot wait for the Rooftop gardens to open
What a super place, great atmosphere and hugely impressive food. The teeny beetroot and carrot with the guinueafowl were just stunning. My wife had a teeny issue with the millefeuilles desert (it bore no resemblance whatsoever!) but still enjoyed it. Super staff, so friendly. Complimentary Prosecco on mentioning our anniversary was a nice touch. Excellent new place.
Our waitress was delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. The food was ok but nothing special - certainly not for the hungry!! We returned the scones as they had been over baked and were entirely inedible. The waitress kindly replaced them. The afternoon tea was extremely over-priced for what we got. It was a birthday celebration and we left feeling disappointed, which is a shame.
Fabulous setting in a iconic building - service was attentive and food quality/presentation on the mains you would expect in a fine dining restaurant.
