New menu ~ great for a change. Food & service excellent. Thanks for a great night out guys 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great views. Excellent staff.
We absolutely loved the new menu! Such great variety and cooked to perfection. We can’t wait to come back.
AMAZING! Great food, awesome service and perfect setting.
Service was great. Entrees and mains were amazing as usual. Side dish of “roasted” potatoes were actually deep fried. Not what we ordered nor what was on the menu. My last meal there, the potatoes were definitely roasted. Not sure why the chef made a shortcut this night. But it certainly should have been communicated to us especially with guests choosing to be on a lower fat diet. I’m looking forward to my next stay there next weekend Sunday 16th September and looking forward to quality food again.
Hello, thank you for having us dine with you last weekend for my husbands 40th birthday. Unfortunately, we were not overly impressed with the meals which were served to our large table of 12. Most of the meals were dry, including the prawns and duck and not of great quality or flavor. We did however have good comments on the beef. The cheese plate was two large lumps of cheese thrown on a plate not the quality at all that was shown in photos on your website. The service was average. Meals were given to the wrong people and we had to ask multiple times for the drinks and wine we ordered. Overall it was overpriced for what we got and not of the standard that should come with the price tag.
Beer selection was as limited as the menu
Small menu (4 entrees, 4 mains) and a little pricey (4 people for dinner (1 bread, 2 entrees, 4 mains, 2 extra veges, 2 bottles of red) = $400. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal - really great desserts! and quality wine but it would have to be a special occasion to justify the spend.
Beautiful evening spent at Barrett’s Restaurant. The food and service were exceptional.
We unfortunately had a glass of sparkling wine spilt on us at the start of our meal but that didn’t ruin our meal. The entrees in particular the prawns and chicken were very tasty. The mains of barramundi and beef were cooked perfectly and delicious. Breakfast was an amazing variety of everything you could imagine. From the hot breakfast to the fresh bottled juices and protein balls. We can’t wait to stay and dine again.
Over the years I have loved dining at Barrett’s for the amazing food and exceptional service they have been renowned for. Sadly my last experience was not so similar.. while the staff at Barrett’s are top notch, the same can’t be said about the menu and the food we were served.. for main I had the duck confit, which was over cooked served with 3 pieces of gnocchi!! The menu had nothing exciting and everything that we had was supposedly “chefs recommendation”. I surely won’t mind paying a higher price tag if the food was exceptional. This time around Barrets really disappointed in the food front.. The only thing Barretts has going for themselves are the staff at Barrettes were exceptional in their service. I would like to make a special mention of Jeanette who was our waitress.. she was very attentive and friendly.. Here’s to hoping my next visit to Barrett’s will change our current opinion.
I wouldn't ask your guests at time off booking if it is a special occasion and then not even acknowledge the occasion, not even a congratulations! plus once we were seated and our order was taken and the meal served we never seen staff again till we had to chase down our bill at which point we were asked if we wanted dessert or coffee!
A nice Meal Again Lighting was just a little dim but food was fine
The restaurant could do with updating their menu and offering more vegetarian options. I had to request a vegetarian option and it was a bit pricey for some basic roasted veggies.
Service from entry to departure was first class. There were a few birthday celebrations in progress and the server apologised in advance for noise levels. The meals for the four of us were all well presented and very tasty. A huge wine list, cocktail list and other beverage list were well appreciated.
Waitresses need more training. Lack of menu knowledge and not listening to the order. We enjoyed our meal. The draught coming from the windows was unpleasant.
Thankyou for a beautiful lunch, compliments to the chef and the lovely staff.
Nice restaurant, staff were attentive during the night, duck was a bit dry but the steak was cooked perfectly.
Went there for dinner, had wanted to go try berrets for some time. There was no lighting It was like eating in the dark. This restaurant compares no where to the likes of bells, the ocean, osterio amano.. i could go on. Lets just say i wont be back.. the mains and the service were good, the rest was not at the same level.
With our ACCOR membership the value for money is good. The menu is very limited and doesn't offer a lot of choices. Our entrees were very good (rating 8) but the main (we had a share beef) was tepid at best when it arrived. Greens were the same (mains rating 5). The wine we chose was out of stock and there are no fortifieds despite the "Port and Fort" section on the drinks list....it was all Port. The service we received on the night was exceptional. We decided not to return on night 2 mostly due to the limited menu.
Our new favourite restaurant. Impressive service, finest ingredients, chefs amazing. Made feel special. Thank you Barrett's Restaurant
Nice food probably 1 of only a handful decent restaurants in the area.
The Mothers Day high tea buffet was absolutely wonderful.
Food was pleasant but not outstanding. Drinks very expensive- paid $48 for a bottle of wine Friday night, $27 for the same wine at another restaurant the following night.
Great to be able to use 50% off dining benefit. The food was good. Waiters could have been more attentive. I tried to get their attention several times so that I could have more water. On the whole, a pleasant experience.
