About Barolo Grill
Situated on Mitchell St, Barolo Grill is two minutes walk from Central Station, Queen Street Station and the Buchanan St Underground Station. Ideal for a business lunch in one of our comfortable booths, celebrations and large parties, graduations and even just to take the weight off your feet while shopping with a well earned glass of Prosecco.
The clue is in the name, as they say - and Barolo Grill is no exception. We pride ourselves on our top quality Scottish steaks, meats and seafood, cooked to perfection, and served with a contemporary Italian touch. Our extensive wine list offers the best in Italian varietals, and of course a superb selection of Barolo wines.
Superb as usual
Been numerous times and never had a bad meal. My favourite restaurant in Glasgow.
Had a lovely meal. Staff were pleasant and attentive.
Superb service, great food. Front of house team are true professionals and look after diners in a relaxed manner. Great restaurant.
I have dined at Barolo on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed with the food service and ambience. I had brought 3 friends on Sunday, none of them had been before. All were very pleased with there experience. One of them had the Tortillini and said it was the best she had ever had. So thank you so much for a lovely meal.
Unfortunately my steak was over cooked which, to be fair, was rectified quickly. But the accompaniment of veg was undercooked and not particularly pleasant.
We had a great time. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and tasty food. It was our first visit but we will be back.
Very poor caprese salad, garlic prawns extremely disappointing, mushy, small prawns, no bread, and veal (cold) and spaghetti (cold and obviuosly been sitting around), very poor show. Complaint wasn't acknowledged by the waiter. Won;t be back.
admittedly we were on a "deal" however the quality of food and service was first rate!!
We booked the Sunday lunch menu for 6 people based on reviews of restaurant , but sadly in my opinion did not rate it any where near. Staff were very polite and attentive and there was a good atmosphere but sadly that is where it ended. When we ordered drinks: there was No Bacardi ! No pink gin ! so as a non wine drinker I had to opt for a soft drink. We did suggest that there was a supermarket round the corner to buy alcohol but this was not taken forward. The menu was varied and looked appetising, but again we were told there was no pizza dough left so we could not order pizza: really in a Italian restaurant!!! The main reason we booked an Italian restaurant as a member of our company wanted pizza. The meal arrived was very sparse , the salmon dish had one broccoli floret and one and a half very small new potatoes. As regular diner who eat out often, all of our company agreed that it was not value for money and were very disappointed in the whole experience and sadly this would be our first and last time with Barolo Grill.
We always enjoy the restaurant and food is still very good however, we had a reservation and the staff member on the door was very abrupt and I’m sorry to say unpleasant, he told us to wait outside?? I told him that we were not going outside to wait, wed wait at the bar, to that he said you won’t be served a drink?? Again I never asked for a drink. We felt that this was a very poor first impression of your restaurant, overall it wouldn’t put me off coming back, it was a very busy night, but all the staff were extremely under pressure and that doesn’t create a nice atmosphere.
We enjoyed our meal so much we came back for lunch. You have some genuinely nice staff there
Party of 10, no bad comments. Everyone enjoyed their food and time spent. Staff were excellent and the bill was less than we had originally expected.
Our experience was not good. We were a party of 6 from which 3 of us ordered steak. One of them was wrong and had to be recooked. This meant that everyone had finished their meal in the 20 minutes it took to receive the third steak. We also ordered side orders which, after asking for them numerous times, were delivered to the table after the mains were finished. We did ask to speak to the manager who took a certain percentage off our bill but we were still unhappy and extremely disappointed in our experience which is a shame as we love the food and have dined here numerous times before.
We had the mix grill on the itison deal - food and wine were lovely.
This was one of the best meals we have had! The food was so so delicious!! Would 100% recommend and the service was great! Very friendly! Thank you, we will definitely be back!
We were at Barolo for Father’s Day selecting our food from both the a la carte menu and the Fathers Special menu. The food was excellent, staff were very welcoming and the service and attention we received made for a very enjoyable evening.
Lovely meal at a great price thanks to the Itison deal. Would definitely return.
The food, service and friendliness of staff were all excellent.
We were at a table near the window and noticed the smell of cigarette smoke drifting in from the outside tables.
I had a delicious steak and my husbands burger he said was very good . The Creme brûlée was excellent also .
Excellent dining experience, too quality food. Amazing service. Great atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. Been here many times before and will continue to come here in the future.
Lovely meal, great price and choice of menu. Would recommend and return. Thank you
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Our waiter and waitress were good fun but attentive. 5 star ⭐️
Great Service although the restaurant was very busy. Quality good, prices acceptable. All round good experience.
