Beautiful lunch in a lovely setting, didn't find the waiting staff particular ly friendly but this didn't spoil a lovely afternoon with a friend .
We had an lovely lunch on Sunday. The food was delicious, service was excellent & the atmosphere was really relaxed. Would definitely return/recommend.
very civilized way of spending a lunchtime - with old colleagues in the conservatory. And very good value.
good food in a lovely setting
Really welcoming receptionists. Beautiful surroundings. Relaxing atmosphere.
Ostrich was very good. Starters particularly good. Risotto a bit plain. Good, friendly service and very pleasant to stay here. Rooms could do with some better lighting. Better flushing toilets needed. Overall very pleased.
Had a lovely time at Barnsdale Lodge for Afternoon Tea on Mothering Sunday. A little gift for the Mum’s at the end of the tea was a great touch and made the day more memorable. Service was great, happy staff and seemed glad to help. Would definitely recommend Barnsdale for an occasion!
The menu selection process with a large group is made so much easier by the events team. The food is fantastic, staff are friendly to both adults and children and very obliging. The whole meal was fantastic.
An excellent meal as ever. We regularly meet up with family and have always had a good meal
Surprised we had to pay extra for tea and coffee with full afternoon tea. We would have expected tea and coffee to have been included in the price. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea experience.
The service and quality of the food was not as good as previously experienced. The waiter missed items off our order and generally wasn't very happy to be serving us. Got the feeling that he just wanted us to spend money. He was not happy when we did not order an alcohol!
A truly wonderful place, amazing staff and would recommend to anyone.
Drinks were a bit pricey, but food was excellent, will be visiting again.
what a great place to stay.all staff members were a joy to meet and be served by.can not wait for another chance to visit.
Excellent service. Nothing too much trouble. Thank you all so much for a perfect evening
Excellent food, very tasty and very good service, as always.
We have been coming to Barnsdale Lodge for several years now, and the quality of its restaurant has always been good. However, we were particularly delighted by the welcome we had on 3 December. Service by Tomas and staff was excellent, and the cooking was superb, especially the scallop starter and the roast pheasant. Full marks again to Barnsdale and its team ! John and Margaret Rogister
When are you going to get the software package that recognises returning guests? We were told last year that it would soon be in place. We have been coming to you for about ten years and still are asked if we have stayed before.
A really special dining experience capturing the essence of quintessentially English food and drink coupled with the very best service. Thank you to all the team for their attentiveness.
The menu could do with a lighter option on the Main's. The food was lovely, although all substantial meats.
Our first visit , we were on our way ragdale hall . It was amazing ,,fabulous start to our spa break
We booked online for Sunday dinner. Booking was easy! The staff at barnsdale lodge were friendly and helpful. We had a 4 week old baby plus our 2 daughters. They asked us where we wanted to eat and we asked to be seated somewhere that would be out of the way of the main diners. They seated us in a small side room which was perfect! The roast beef was amazing! I especially loved the red cabbage... it tasted exactly like Christmas! Kids portions were good and they had a good choice. Again their food was very tasty and they both cleared their plates. We will definitely be back.
Another excellent meal. Great atmosphere with friendly staff and outstanding service.
Food was excellent, staff not so. £10.60 gratuity added to the bill was not acceptable, when I paid £110 for a meal for 2.
