About Barbie Green
Barbie Green lies within the remains of St Alphage Church and sections of the original City of London Wall, dating back to the 2nd Century. Although historically British, the site of Barbie Green also perfectly encapsulates the characteristically Australian “outside in” feel thanks to fully retractable glass windows opening up onto over an acre of ancient gardens.
Just like its sibling sites, Barbie Green is the perfect spot for the first coffee meeting of the day, to enjoy a casual brunch, or to indulge in evening alfresco drinks. Unique within the Daisy Green Collection, Barbie Green will also offer fire baked, Roman style thin and crispy pizzas all day.
On weekends, diners at Barbie Green will be able to enjoy the Collection’s famous all-day bottomless brunch offering.
Adorned with four huge Barbican meets Bondi-inspired artworks by “Bonnie & Clyde” alongside colourful works by Grazie, Shuby and Paul Robinson, Barbie Green combines relaxed, light Australian design with cutting edge art. With intimate seating for 40 internally and an expansive alfresco terrace, Barbie Green is set to be a truly buzzing inner City oasis.
Super attentive and gentle staff, unbelievably delicious food and a gorgeous setting. A fabulous birthday brunch thank you!
Upon arriving I was greeted by Michele. Even though it was busy he made every effort for me & my friend to feel welcome. Drinks came out quick & the food was great! Highly recommend this venue for cocktails & easy food!!
Staff were super friendly :)
Fantastic meal, will be better once restrictions ease and the indoor area can open
Lovely location and food
Excellent bottomless brunch
What an amazing setting for a restaurant which is stylish and modern! Service with a smile was the order of the day and the food fare was outstanding: tasty yet healthy!
Great food and service
Really nice experience, however, the presecco flowed very slowly as when the bottle was empty it took too long to get a new bottle. Also we received both our savoury and sweet dishes within the last half an hour of our brunch and then we were rushed out of our seats before we could even let the food go down, it would have been better if the food came out earlier.
Very delicious brunch!!
Such good food and really great service!
Food was as usual delicious and very friendly service. Shame the heaters weren't working as it was chilly.
Great service on this visit to Barbie Green. Great place for drinks and we had cover from the rain which was a very pleasant surprise! Pizza was absolutely delicious. Aware service change being added on is becoming the norm but personally I don’t like it - not specific to Barbie Green of course but it’s a shame everyone has jumped onto this way of doing things.
The service was really very slow. People of both sides of us were saying the same thing. I ordered the chicken which was badly presented and only warm not hot. I would have sent it back but it took so long to get I was running out of time
Hey guys it wasn’t good. It took half an hour for the food to arrive. When it did, half my order was forgotten. Also when it came to payment, the waitress split the bill by two even though there were three of us at the table. I won’t be going back
My friend and I had the bottomless brunch but both of us found the prosecco tasted cheap and not at all to the standard expected compared to other London brunches we have attended. The service was not great, we didnt have any check-backs so had to sit around and wave to try and get the attention of a waiter. However, the food was absolutely delicious and we loved the setting. I would advise going to Barbie green for lunch or breakfast, I would not advise the Bottomless brunch option.
Wonderful food, great setting, & vibrant atmosphere. Friendly customer service if not a little slow at times.
We ate the most delicious pizzas at Barbie Green - really think and crispy bases. Our waitress was delightful and helpful too. Our only small grumble was rather surly treatment by a man we assumed was the manager. Luckily our lovely waitress saved the day but we would have left if he had been serving
Great brunch meals, delicious! Lovely friendly staff and a great spot.
Outdoor heating was provided for the cold morning weather. Stunning cafe location.
THE WORST PLACE EVER. I booked this for a bottomless brunch, I called up in advance to check the bottomless was on at 5pm and was told yes. Got there, asked for bottomless and was told they dont even do bottomless, then was told they do but it ends at 5pm (so which was it), the staff were rude, one of them was wearing sportswear to serve people. They insisted they needed the table back by 6.30 even though there was loads of tables free. AVOID
Great bottomless brunch deal, very good value for money. Fizz is delicious and not the trash some places serve you to save money. Had the Bondi brekkie and the banana cake sandwich and both were good. Service was charming. Will be visiting another Green restaurant soon.
I arrived for my reservation at 9.45 am to be told by the staff member on the door my reservation was at 9.30 am. He said he would show me on his system. I showed him my confirmation email that stated clearly it was at 9.45am. No apology was offered for the mistake on his part, instead he he told me he would need my table back by 11.00 (by this point it was nearly l0). He was insinuating that I was the one in the wrong, and late for my reservation. There must have been a fault with the system, he didn’t bother to explain or apologise. The staff member then stormed over to prepare the table (as it wasn’t ready) knocking over chairs in his anger. He clearly did not want to be at work and made us feel like we were a total inconvenience to him. We were out celebrating my birthday and his appalling attitude really put a dampener on the day. Other staff members and the food and atmosphere were all perfectly pleasant but somewhat marred by our initial encounter.
Lovely bar and good service but we were disappointed you closed up early, given that there were plenty of tables full with people still drinking. We would’ve liked to stay later and end our night there, but we had to move on and find somewhere else
Looks forward to visiting again :)
