About Barbican Kitchen
Housed in the world famous Plymouth Gin Distillery, the Barbican Kitchen was established in 2006 by the Tanner Brothers, Chris and James.
Our aim is to deliver fresh local food at a realistic price.
The Barbican Kitchen takes full advantage of the superb larder available to us here in the Westcountry.
Absolutely incredible food so tasty and enjoyable. We have never had a bad meal hence this is our favourite restaurant in Plymouth.... well done the Tanner Brothers and their staff 👏🏼 😊
Very enjoyable evening , great service and really appreciated our table away from entrance . Food very good , ( just felt that cauliflower cheese didn’t compliment the Kiev ) . Will always return when in Plymouth .
Lovely food, excellent and friendly service. A relaxing and highly enjoyable experience.
Beautiful presentation, stunning food and plenty of it. Would have liked to see more choice on the menu. Nice to see such different ingredients on the menu which you wouldn’t usually cook with yourself. Thank you for a wonderful meal.
We will definitely be returning.
As always the food and service excellent and staff very professional. Thank you
The service was very good.
One of our favourite restaurants. Top class food and excellent service.
A delightful return to the Barbican kitchen. A wonderful menu and very prompt and polite attentive service. Food was delicious. A fantastic thumbs up for the short rib of beef. Would recommend again. Best recommendations come from repeat bookings. Will be returning soon
Excellent service and food - as always
Such quality and ingenuity at price that keeps coming back, plus great wine choice .
Great meal, great value!
I had the Barbican Kitchen Fish stew which was fabulous!
Lovely food and attentive, polite service. There were very few diners whilst we were there (mid week lunchtime). Good choice for starters and mains on the set course and my only minor criticism would be that I would prefer a bit more choice for deserts.
Very easy and relaxed. Food was very good we ordered if both the set early and a la carte - the set menu was very good value for the quality. A great evening and deserving of their gold plate accolade.
Great ambience, Lovely food & great service - definitely recommend & when in Plymouth will visit 👍🏻
Excellent - as always . The plaice was beautifully cooked and the panacotta was perfection . Gods friendly and efficient service . Highly recommended.
Fabulous meal with quality wine. Staff were polite, helpful and attentive. Triple cooked chips were amazing and we all said were the best chips we had ever had. Slow cooked beef was amazing.
Everything superb, cannot fault anything.
The staff were very attentive and the food was great value!
Delicious food and attentive service.
Thank you team! Everything amazing as always. Very special thank you for looking after my dad when he had a funny turn - all staff were so kind and helpful which made it much less stressful than it might otherwise have been. It was my boyfriend's first visit and he was super impressed.
A good all round and reliable bistro restaurant experience.
We love coming here, if we come back to Plymouth, we make sure we come here. Amazing service, the food is incredible- we ordered from the veggie/vegan menu and we love it.
Lamb shoulder was great
