About Bar-A-Thym Restaurant by Francois Mermilliod

"Bar-A-Thym", a play on words, was born out of a desire to express myself in a manner that is free and fun, yet recognizing the critical balance of our fragile ecosystem by adopting sustainable and ethical food procurement practices.

In French, Baratin means sweet talk/bullshit, a trait undeniably me and to all who know me!

In Singapore's fast-pacing dining scene, we spare no effort attending to the smallest of details; from artisan-quality baked goods, supplied by Heritage Bread, to sourcing for MSC and Friend of the Sea certified seafood. Together with my dedicated team and like-minded suppliers, we endeavour to deliver produce at their peak growing season straight from nature to your table.

Excellent food especially the Charcuterie Board. It was interesting. The sakura Ebi Pasta was a bit too buttery to my liking and a bit bland. The Beef was so so good!

Hello, I booked for a celebration dinner (table of 4 persons) and have mixed feelings about the the result. Most of the meals were good as expected but i have been very disappointed with my order of Sakuri Ebi pasat with Sea Urchins. I have ordered specifically a 1.5 portion as my main dish and had high expectations on this one, but i was very dissapointed with the overall result: that was merely a plate of spaghetti with a very average presentation and only two sea urchins , even with a 1.5 oversized portion, charged 50sgd , the most expensive dish of the table for that night. . I did not say anything not to break the mood but that was quite a let down really booking of 4 person, total bill 270sgd. Regards,

Fantastic Christmas lunch held at this wonderful restaurant. We had the relatively private area at the back of the restaurant and were treated to an exquisite menu by Chef Francois. If only every lunch could be as enjoyable. As usual his seafood dishes stood out (lobster bisque and also the gravallax), in addition the charcuterie board (in particular the duck rillettes) was also delicious. One of my favourite restaurants in SG.

Absolutely perfect evening, the food was excellent, service was really great (they would adjust the amazing omakase menu on the fly to accommodate food allergies) the price was very reasonable for the very high standard

Rafi was very attentive and it made our dinner experience great. Also, Francois's personal attention to ensure we enjoyed ourself was really heartwarming. we loved it, The steak was so good. i recommend that highly

Delicouis French traditional food with quality ingredients, generous portion, the foie gras, duck rillette, the Angus beef and the terrine are the best in Singapore. Coridal and smling great service, UNlike all these ‘ trendy’ fancy French chefs who don’t smile to clients to assure their seriousness. Must try their Saturday bruch menu, it’s really worth the detour! We love it and will be back!
