About Bank House Wine Bar and Kitchen
The bank house was originally designed by William Campbell-Jones in 1907, a British architect who was commissioned to design a building to stand the test of time for the National Provincial Bank. Now lovingly restored to its former glory, Bank House Wine Bar and Kitchen is a local business with high quality hospitality at its core.
Our produce comes from local farms as well as artisan suppliers from further afield. Wines are a collection of natural, biodynamic and well known luxury classics.
Love this place
Great service, fabulous food and wonderful wine, we loved it. Thank you
Really enjoyed the evening, staff were all super cool and friendly. Great place.
This was my second visit to Bank House, the food on my first visit was excellent, I love the idea of lots of starter size dishes and was very impressed by the choice and quality. Sadly the quality of food on my second visit was sadly lacking, dishes that were supposed to be hot were barely warm and the chicken was either over or undercooked. A real shame.
Beautiful food and wonderful atmosphere
A charming wine bar restored to excellent condition. The Sunday lunch was delicious and the service excellent. We're looking forward to returning in a couple of weeks time for pre-Xmas drinks and 'tapas'.
Lovely food and great service!
Please add peas on their own, not mixed with cabbage to the Sunday roast menu (or at least make them available as not everyone likes cabbage (especially me and kids!) thanks
We had a fantastic time , staff couldn’t be more helpful . Definatley come Back Thankyou so much
The atmosphere, layout, drinks, service was all fantastic. The one and only huge problem was that it took 2 hours to get our food. 4 of us went and 2 of the people got their food within the first hour and the other 2 had to wait a whole hour before eating. But other than that it was a great place to go to.
Chislehurst is amazing and it’s just got even better with this addition to the High St
Second visit, really enjoyed. Good service and interesting menu, great decor
Lovely atmosphere, great food, excellent customer service. In total - a great evening out, and it was only a Thursday night :)
Superb Sunday lunch...
When we visited on 6/10/19 we had a taster menu which was excellent. This time there was a 'Roast' menu which was poor. Food was cold which we had to send back for re-heating. Would not attend again whilst the 'roast' menu is only available.
This place is absolutely stunning, I surprised my girlfriend with a visit here Saturday night. The food was incredible the service was fast we couldn’t have asked for a better place to eat. The tapas style suited us really well. The only criticism would be to tell people before they start ordering that the menu is tapas style as the descriptions could be taken as full dishes. Looking forward to our next visit!
Food was good, but unfortunately 3 out of the 11 dishes we ordered did not turn up! Staff also kept asking to take our plates whilst we were still eating! Service still needs some work...
Would like more choice on menus
A lovely evening.
Always a warm welcome at lunch time. Lovely, friendly staff, great selection of drinks and delicious food. Quite expensive, but you do get what you pay for.
Have eaten at Bank House on several occasions at different times and on different days. Every time the food has been fantastic and the service and atmosphere great.
We came in for a roast dinner and had not been to bank house before. We were really impressed with the building, interiors and atmosphere inside. The roasts were excellent and really good value. The staff were friendly and attentive. This is a much appreciated addition to Chislehurst and the Bromley area in general - we are definitely going to be regulars!
The food was amazing and the service was excellent. However I found the drinks to be expensive, £40 for a bottle of Prosecco is overpriced and not what I’d expect to pay in Chislehurst. The food is very good bake for money.
Food was average. Fish was overcooked. Was really looking forward to it, but was fairly average in the end.
It was really noisy in there, found it hard to have a conversation without keep repeating ourselves. Next time I book would like to see if upstairs is quieter. Apart from that we had a good evening. Enjoyed the cocktails
