About Banchory Lodge Hotel
You will find dishes ranging from the classic to the contemporary. In our newly refurbished restaurant we offer relaxed dining in a stunning setting overlooking the River Dee. Dishes include sharing platters and a chargrill selection with steaks as a speciality. Where possible, it is all made from the best locally sourced Scottish produce.
Very good food and service
Food was not good, only 1 of the 4 of us dining actually enjoyed the meal. The waiter was very good and asked if I wanted something else. Was very noisy. Menu limited.
After initially being seated in an area next to very noisy children in a separate room, we asked to move tables. We were relocated at an empty table in a cosier room with much more atmosphere. Why we weren’t directed there in the first place was rather a mystery as I had booked ages in advance for a special dinner with my siblings. Thereafter the experience was good and many thanks to the helpful staff who moved us.
Beautiful hotel. Service was fantastic, your staff was friendly, helpful and very attentive. Our first visit but will not be our last !!
The service was great as always!
Service was excellent and quality of food good. Will book a table in the lounge next time as the dining area lacked atmosphere.
Fantastic food and service as usual. Was dining with small, impatient children and no request was too much trouble. Everything was handled with a smile.
Good service, caters for Gluten free. Food quality was great. Location was great. Would definitely go again.
good place to eat
Exceptional services from Daviot and the rest of the staff. Meal was excellent and of very high quality food. Atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Could not fault a thing and would highly recommend. Enjoyed it so much I've booked 3 other dates for lunch, dinner and hogmany.
Excellent as always. Great food, wonderful staff, lovely environment and ambience and Dorothy (Jack Russell) loved it too. A very positive experience for all. Thank you!
I ordered a fillet steak and after a while was told that something went wrong with the first one!!! We were left waiting so they came with some calamari for my husband and I but unfortunately he doesn’t like it. They also offered us a glass of Prosecco. When my steak eventually came it was over cooked. I asked for medium but it came well done. I didn’t say anything as this was a complimentary weekend but if I had been paying for it would not have been happy at £31!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Banchory Lodge. All staff very friendly and attentive. The Dee Room was ideal for the occasion. The food was superb. Thanks D Duncan
A good old fashioned traditional hotel where staff are well trained and attentive. Food well presented and tasted lovely.
Lovely food and service
Lovely Sunday lunch
We had a great meal, steak was excellent. Was disappointed with the set egg custard, not very good. Possibly look at the cocktail list. Choice of Gins was very good as was the service.
The food was a bit ordinary in parts (Scotch Porky) and fish and chips, the service was friendly but a bit slow and not attentive. Lots of staff walking fast past the table, and lots of water. food and bill, drinks and ordering it was difficult to catch people for.
Great service from bar staff particularly
Always nice -the waiter was great despite a mistake in the order mistakes happen and he dealt with admirably. Always busy so always takes a while to get drinks etc and condiments-maybe leave nearby to save running in and out to the kitchen?
As good as always
Lovely overnight stay at Banchory Lodge hotel. Room was excellent, very spacious and clean. Food was excellent, as were all staff. Would highly recommend.
Great food, great service in a welcoming atmosphere
A little disappointed with the food. The lamb was not the best I have had and the chips were soggy. One table was also very noisy which made it difficult to have a normal conversation.
We felt like the waiter was hovering around us which wasn't his fault as it was a quiet Sunday evening. Also, our main dishes came before we had even made a dent in out bread and tapenade starter. This was annoying as we didn't get to just enjoy it and take our time.
