Great evening as always, service prompt and friendly
We booked a table at Bambalan for a colleague's birthday lunch. For most of us it was the first time eating out since restaurants had reopened, and it was great to see the Covid H&S measures Bambalan had in place. Service and food were great. Would recommend!
Overpriced on everything. Slow service.
The first point of contact provided awful service very rude & abrupt. I booked a table 2 weeks in advance & specifically asked for a table by the Dj both which was completely ignored & when I asked if a table does become available can we please be moved & I was told "me & 15 other people" with such a rude tone. Some of the staff need a course in customer service & care. I'm not in a hurry to return.
Nice views of the centre, good atmosphere
Great place, staff are really friendly, food is delicious and the cocktails are tasty!
Great meal and service, thank you!
Bambalan. Where to start. We had read that the guys behind Bambalan were the creators of Hyde and Co and Milk Thistle so our hopes were relatively high. I do not understand how they could have got it so wrong. The decor is tacky, the staff were surly, the food was awful, the ‘cocktails’ were pathetic and the atmosphere was dead. I thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys terrible service, flavourless food, and over priced drinks.
Great burger, lovely bab & good value for money...
Good food and service. Atmosphere was pretty good too, as far as social distancing allows.
We had such a fabulous time. Delicious food, Loved the grilled prawns and croquettes to die for. Spicy Bloody Mary just how we like it. The service was chilled but attentive. Couldn’t be better. Thanks so much. We’ll be back soon.
I love going to bambalan its usually a lovley place to be but going out last weekend has not been the best, as I was with a large group and it was a busy night i understand the staff were busy and annoyed, but walking into bambalan we were not greeted, then there was a mix up with our tables and we were seated somewhere else that originally booked. On top.of that the man serving us was absolutely discusting not only was he rude, but he almost accused us of not paying for our drinks and then rushed us to order claiming that there are other people that need serving, just coz people are drinking it doesnt mean that they dont deserve respect..
Booking system doesn’t seem to have a facility to cancel or amend a booking. If it does, it’s too difficult to find. Saying that, I do love Bambalan. I wish we had more places like it in Bristol. Oh... and PLEASE can someone put a rooftop bar on the top of the Radisson?!
Had a horrific time at bambalan for a birthday. Booked for 7:30 had to wait in a queue for 20 minutes to get in then we were sat inside when it was sunny outside. The female toilets were closed so there was a queue and girls had to go in with the boys urinals which i was not doing my friend went in only to have to walk around a male urinating in the urinals, the service was so slow we had one drink (the drinks tasted like fousty water) they had half of the drinks available that were on the menu. We were there for 2 hours and had one drink and had to leave. NEVER RETURNING will be making a formal complaint!
Good service and good covid measures.
Staff friendly, although limited menu at the moment, food was nice arrived quickly. Overall good service
Great service - great fun!
Was treated very rudely by a male member of staff. Was very sarcastic in a patronising way. Made me feel very uncomfortable.
The food is always good but the cocktails aren’t fantastic. Especially for the price.
There were a few groups of lads in being Rowdy and chanting, all tho they were told constantly to be quiet it did take the edge off for me and my girl friend. Normally this place has a fantastic atmosphere and we love going
Social distancing was none-existent. Only one staff member wearing any form of PPE (a mask) that they ended up taking of. Very large groups of people standing around chatting and hugging, not sticking to their designated tables. I didn't feel "unsafe", just shocked. Food was good though and came out really quick but we were only allowed the table for 1h 15 mins.
Lovely outdoor space with great view over the centre, perfect on a sunny day. Good result of drinks to choose from and very friendly service
Thank you :)
