Afternoon Tea is served daily 13.30 - 17.00
Great dining experience, good food as usual. An added bonus was breakfast in the Cloisters rather than the usual breakfast room. Hope you will still be there after the Coronavirus has run it's course.
Ewa who served us was amazing 😉
We had a lovely meal and the service was excellent. Due to recent health events the restaurant was very quiet so lacked atmosphere but that is no reflection on the hotel. We will definitely book a stay next time.
our afternoon tea was delicious the chutney in the cheese sandwich was really tasty the lemon curd was just the best I've tasted in a long time the scones were more like buns we thought but were nice and the strawberry jam was a little bland compared to the lemon curd thsnkyou again for a really nice chilled afternoon
Interesting tasting menu, definitely tried things I wouldn’t normally have eaten. The staff were very helpful and made the evening very special. Love the restaurant location and view.
The food in Cloisters was one of the best meals my wife and I have had. The service was also excellent too.
Wonderful setting with a relaxed ambience and outstanding service.
Only three tables in the Conservatory but it took an age to receive our food. We complained that the fish was only warm by the time we received the main course. Chips were burnt. No San Miguel. Gin & Tonic eye wateringly expensive. Don't like having the 10% service charge automatically added. I know the receipt says you can ask for it to be deleted but who is seriously going to do that with the waiter standing over you. Chose not to eat there because of this experience the second night.
We could have had a nicer place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family. Superb food, attentive staff and a beautiful romantic restaurant!
Had the two for one Champagne Afternoon Tea, we had a savoury and traditional both of which were gorgeous! The Receptionist was very helpful and the waitress was very accommodating, can’t fault it.
Great food, good service and lovely views.
Stayed in lady Isabella suite, tv in bathroom didn’t work, and turn down service arrived at 6pm!? Asked for them to come back at 6.45, as we needed clean cups and more milk and tea, they said they would, but when arriving back in room at 10.30, they had not returned!!
Friendly and professional service
Lovely afternoon tea great staff relaxed atmosphere
We have taken afternoon tea at Bailbrook several times. Always excellent food and drinks, served by well-trained staff. Thank you.
Staff were amazing friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Will definitely be paying a second visit in the near future. Very pleased with the whole experience.
My Wife is dairy free and they produced a lovely alternative afternoon tea
From our point/time of arrival we couldn’t have been more pleased with the service we received, our welcome at the entrance to the delightful young lady who served us made our afternoon something special. Well done we will certainly be back.
The food lacked the usual 'Hand Picked' quality and the vegetarian options were limited and unusual...
Came here for afternoon tea and it was wonderful. One member of staff, Warwick, was absolutely amazing. He gave us such a lovely welcome to the hotel and when learning it was my mum’s birthday went out of his way to write her a lovely card and give her some chocolates. Was the nicest touch and made my mum feel so special! We will definitely be coming back again.
Dear Staff of Bailbrook House Hotel, My husband & I reserved a table for 6 at the Bailbrook last night at 7.00pm. The food was simply delicious, and the waiting staff & Maitre D' provided a warm and professional service throughout our dining experience. They were attentive, smiling throughout and helpful. They allowed us time between courses which was wonderful as we were meeting up with family members we had not seen for a while & had a lot to catch up with. From the moment we stepped into the reception area we were greeted warmly. I asked a member of staff at the reception area if they could find us a quiet space for us all to enjoy a pre dinner drink & to be able to talk and exchange Christmas presents. We were shown to the perfect private lounge with a lovely Christmas tree in place & we enjoyed a wonderful 1.5 hrs in there until we sat down for dinner in the Cloisters restaurant. We were all very impressed with this Hotel, the restaurant and the staff. We first became aware of your fabulous Hotel when we attended a wedding reception during 2017 and we shall return again in the future. Thank you all for making our stay just so enjoyable. Warmest wishes Marion & Ian MacGillivray
very nice atmosphere and attentive staff without being intrusive
Lovely afternoon tea, a good variety of sandwiches and cakes. Liked the option of jam or lemon curd which we haven’t come across before. Great value for money as we came on the 2 for the price of 1. Was only offered one pot of tea though, waited a long time and then Went to find somebody to ask for another. Apart from that excellent service.
