Service was slow & forgetful
We had a great diner..Thanks Steven for his great hospitality. The food and drink all good. Looking forward to dine in here again
The food is good but expensive. Makes a difference if you are an Accor platinum member.
What a enjoy afternoon High Tea for two, the choices were plentiful and the quality of the food and service was excellent. Thank you.
food was amazing, location was great, service with a smile
the restaurant and bar were both very good for the above ratings
Good food and service but extremely way over-priced. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back for this reason
Unfortunately, this would be up there with one of the most un-pleasurable dinning experiences we have had in a long time. To start it off, when I made a booking on line, there was no notification that there was a set menu for Saturday 19/10/19 due to The Royal Edinburgh military Tattoo. My Booking was for 6pm as we were attending the tattoo. When we arrived at the Hotel mid afternoon, we went to the restaurant to view the menu, that's when we were notified of the set 4 course menu and set price of $95.00. The young lady then showed us 2 x set menu's and I did express my dis-pleasure and she did say, we could cancel our booking, but due to the time and the Tattoo, finding another restaurant for dinner would be highly unlikely. When we arrived for dinner at 6pm, I went to the bar and found a fairly lengthy line up and a female customer complaining to the bar staff (2) that she had been waiting 20 minutes for a drink to be delivered she had paid for. The bar was severely under staff to cope with the normal Hotel patronage, plus the restaurant customers, We I finally got back to our table, I asked my wife if she has ordered, which she hadn't and she showed me a menu which was on the table, it was (1) of the menu we saw earlier( sower dough bread -duck - eye filet with a prawn and pear dish for sweets) that was the only menu for the entire restaurant, no option for the 2nd menu, we were told because of the Royal Tattoo. The food started to be brought out without any consultation with the customers to how they wished for the eye filet cooked or if in fact they like the food on the menu. This is were things started to get annoying as my wife doesn't eat duck, so she just ate a piece of beetroot and parsnip. When the eye fillet cam out, it was medium rare at the best and unfortunately she like any red meat cooked "well done" - if someone had asked, things would have been OK, but no. There were 2 other couples who were seated in close proximity and they also had issues how the eye fillet was cooked, for myself, I do like medium rare. By the time the pear desert came out, the flesh was hard and we didn't finish the dish. When the manager (I think it was ) asked how our meal was, I explained our displeasure, which he apologised for and blamed it on the Royal Tattoo. When I went to pay, the bill turned from $190 into $203.50- oh great- spent all that money and we both were still hungry. The other 2 x couples also complained due to extra cost of the bill - one of the couples had there bill halved due to complaining and the use of a corporate card. VERY DISAPOINTING
Tried restaurant pre event at ANZ stadium. Was told at time of booking that I could not use Accor discount for 50% off (all good) and set menu (again good to a point) What I didn’t get told was that the menu was no choice at all. Ie set entree, main and dessert, not choose from say 2 of each options. I eat meat, but not keen, but no choice of how it was cooked, which was rare. If I eat meat, prefer more on medium side. Tables on either side of us, also said exactly same thing about their blue meat. However, staff were attentive, chasing food orders and when my 90% uneaten main was taken away, I was asked why and was it the way it was cooked (so obviously others said the same) He then apologised, explained head chef was taken to hospital with burnt arm and said they would compensate us (which they did by doing 50% discount anyway and not charging for our drinks) Hence my good review of service, and while not my food preference, they did do their best on a under the pump night, and a lot was goid
Food & venue were good, perfect preshow option. Tables with considerable drinks purchase received meal service quicker
We love your Restuarant but would prefer to be given an option for dinner. This is the first time we have not been given a choice of a 3 course or a two course meal. Next time I hope you go back to basics and give us a choice. Service staff fantastic and food 100%
Dined at your restaurant before the Edinburgh Tattoo and had the set three course menu. I bought my mum there for dinner as she doesn't normally dine in such a nice place.. we were both blown away by the food. It came out quickly and tasted amazing. Especially the duck! I had one of the Espresso Martinis that I've ever had too. Thanks for a great dining experience.
Good food and service. Would definitely return.
Service and food were both fine, but unfortunately we were not aware of the set menu before the show. We completely understand the reason behind this but we would have liked to have been informed prior.
Food was excellent, but lucky we weren't in a hurry because meals took a long time. Would still recommend however.
Brooke was a lovely waitress. Service slow we had a concert to go to and did. Not receive dessert which was to be sent to our room and never was
We had a great night.
The foo was ok but overpriced. Most main dishes were around $45 each and need sides. For those prices I would have expected a higher standard.
Great friendly staff - delightful service.
Waiter said it was his first night so he understandably was not very good, but at least he was courteous and polite. He was apologetic and was trying hard. Second waitress was very good in understanding and service. Table was too squashed next to another table so waiters were putting food on table by leaning over us diners at times, which was not very good, I’d expect better organization of tables and better service from Pullman actually. Good food & portions. Good value as we have Accor membership.
Good food and an excellent job getting everyone served in plenty of time for the concert
Food was delicious but table service almost non existent due to volume of diners. Bar was inadequate in many ways- wines on offer not the best, not enough staff working to be able to cater for time consuming cocktail making, Don' t like to stand around tables to enjoy a wine. Very expensive for poor service, wine variety and quality and just not an enjoyable experience.
The food was very good.
Very disappointed to say the least. The food was ordinary.
Great choice for pre show dining. We had the fixed price 2 course dinner. The food was lovely, and wine choices were good for our taste and budget. All floor staff we met were exceptionally polite and efficient. Only complaint was the kitchen was a bit slow getting the 2 courses out, leaving us only 5 mins to get to the show Arena.
