Disappointed with the Mother’s Day high tea as you had a children’s high tea price however food did not accommodate children. If you have a children’s cost next time perhaps a child friendly food offer would satisfy the expectation. Fairy bread, ham sandwiches etc
Unfortunately had to request service for drink order after being seated for 20 minutes; further delay in placing order for food; had to request bread for butter. Very prompt with bill.
the gnocchi was delicious, service amazing, ambience amazing. the tapas menu was hit and miss. and other items like burgers were average. Food items listed on the mains in the menu seem to be the best picks.
Very small portions not value for money.
The menu didn’t excite us at all. The main of beef cheek had no flavour. Disappointing over all, wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for pre show dinner at $140.00 a head it’s far to expensive.
Great way to start the night before Ed Sheeran, couldn’t fault anything food delish, service excellent. I would only change dessert to something rich dark chocolatey....but that’s just me
We dined here prior to seeing a show. The service was fast, and the food was beautiful! The wait staff were professional, and polite. We will definitely dine here again.
Disappointed.. we had booked for a special celebration... and we expected since it was the 5 star in the olympic park area that it would be particularly good. The food was a long wait and really very expensive for what it ended up being. The potatoes with pancetta had 2 tiny pieces of pancetta in it... the potatoes that came with the meal weren't cooked properly... the bread was small and tough.. Some of the main meals were lovely and some people were unhappy.. the kids meals were small.. but they did enjoy them. we had to ask a number of times to be served... ask for water... ask for enough bread for the table... staff seemed to be disorganised and unsure as to who was serving each table... we were also unsure who to ask for things.
Overall not to bad
Excellent all round - service and food. We are returning customers and will continue to go back.
We felt the menu was very expensive in comparison to the normal menu prices. These inflated prices seem to take advantage of customers when there is a special event. In my opinion, $75 is very expensive for 2 courses. We belong to Accor Plus and when we joined we were told that we would get 1/2 price meals for 2 meals. Last night there were 3 of us dining and instead of getting 1/3 off each meal we were given $10 off each meal only, instead of $25 . This does not seem right. We paid inflated prices as well as not receiving the full Accor Plus member discount. We were very annoyed and disappointed.
Excellent food and friendly service. An excellent night.
Dined prior to a concert. Menu and wine list were still varied and of very good quality. Service was friendly but not intrusive
We have been before for our birthdays and somewere special. We found the service slow. It wasn’t full but one big table on a Monday night . We waited quite a while for the drink and food to begin with two staff working the floor . We ordered a bottle of wine the girl poured the full glass before tasting it $78 per bottle tasting would have been better felt like we’re we’re in a cafe style. For the money we paid just under 400 for 2 adult s and one child . I felt let down. As it’s our local we’re not Tourist. We just wanted a fine dinning dinner for my husband s birthday .
Fantastic ambience, food and and service
Great food and service however a little overpriced.
Your Bar manager needs to learn customer service
Not good value. Reasonable food. An expensive 2 course fixed price pre concert menu. 30 % more than sydney central pre-theatre menu prices. Better than take away food or the Novotel but we left feeling like we had paid too much. Not much atmosphere, like eating in a hotel cafe.
Service and food quality was excellent. Great way to start the night.
We received excellent service. We would recommend this restaurant. Menu choices are limited though.
Staff were wonderful.
Beer was warm. Asked for a cold one. Another warm beer came. Only after getting up from my table and insisting on a cold beer did it come. The waitress was polite and apologetic. The food portions were small but tasted good.
The food is amazing, high quality, fresh and delicious, but most maybe all the staff are very young and inexperienced, our young waiter couldn't answer questions about the menu. Little things like keeping our water glasses full are important but not attended to, we had to ask for refills. Other than the service. I highly recommend Bacar.
A lovely setting although some of the furnishing require cleaning (cream material covered seats are not the best choice for a restaurant)The staff were lovely, attentive and our meals came very quickly which is a bonus when you have an event to attend.
We had a wonderful Christmas lunch.Fantastic food, and so much of it. The staff are so very friendly and helpful. And it's all in such a comfortable environment.
