I Booked a table for 6 under my name of Joana. it was a lovely pre theatre dinner....the staff were great especially the blond girl whos' name unfortunately I have forgotten but, started with a S. In the rush to get to the theatre, I forgot to hand in my membership card number 3084094304363993, and also left the receipt behind Is it still possible to claim my pints for the meal? regards, Joana
We were a party of 4 on a Saturday night with a set menu. All of our food although flavoursome was barely lukewarm. The most disappointing was my husbands meal came with an unopened clam...he brought it to the attention of the wait staff and it was replaced but surely unopened shellfish should not be served. I might add there were only 2 clams on the plate as part of the dish so should have been picked up before it was served.
The food and table service was outstanding. Some of the best food and service I have ever received. This is definitely a place worth going back to.
We were told that we could only order drinks & wine that were on the set menu they designed for the concert. Even though other dinners were able to order what ever they liked from the bar. The set menu food was terrible! Entree was fatty & cold, main- Beef checks, tasted terrible. Even the couple next to us who had ordered the same dishes said the same & like us,could not eat it.. As both entree& main was uneatable & we went hungry. Even though we were offered a free main by Manager,We paid our bill in full as when we complained we were not wanting anything for free but just to give honest feed back to the management on how disappointing the meal was. Both courses were terrible but the Beef checks were the worst, it made my Husband sick! The staff & service were good, We could have over looked the bad food IF we could order a couple of decent drinks from bar but 3times we were told, only drinks from set menu. All in all a horrible experience & we will never be back, as many other dinners around us said the same thing!
After a little mix up with my card, I was gob smacked at the fabulous service and treatment I received. Staff worked extremely hard on a very busy Eagles concert night. Thank you.

Great restaurant, good food and exceptional service. We were there to attend the Eagles concert. We will go again and enjoy more time there rather than a pre-concert dinner.

If I had a Michelin Star or two... to give… I would! The whole experience from start to finish was a culinary pleasure... for the eyes, nose, and taste buds… Superbly presented, delicious food, with the sort of intensity of flavour which is only achieved through experienced preparation… and a chef with a confident palate. This coupled with perfectly matched wines… and a delightful serving team… made dining at Bacar Restaurant an absolute pleasure!! Personally, I would recommend you don’t miss the Murray Valley Pork Belly with Cloudy Bay Clams, cider mustard glaze, or the Beef Cheek with beetroot ketchup, maple parsnips and spiced anchovy butter… followed by the dark chocolate fudge with peanut butter ice cream, caramelised banana and sea salt… but the cheese selection was equally as balanced with cheese from England, Italy and Australia… and whatever you do...don’t forget to order the sides… there can be a few hidden surprises here!
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with incredible service by the host. The waitress was amazing and the gentleman serving drinks was so lovely also. I thought it was a nice touch to have a member of the chef team deliver the meal to the table (who was also delightful). The meal was served swiftly and was definitely a quality mouthwatering delight. Drinks were no sooner finished and the waiter was there to offer a refill. Your customer service is a credit to you as is your culinary skills.
The beverage package is a good idea but you must have the staff available and aware so patrons are not waiting for a drink. Otherwise a great experience and very good food
