Great food and service!!
Great environment, dinner was great value for money, friendly and professional service - thank you Atelier! We'll definitely be back!
Great service, although a bit expensive for what felt like a little more on the side of casual dining. It’s a hotel after all, so expect casual diners, kids, big groups etc. the high end prices don’t really align with the atmosphere. Not that I didn’t enjoy it, the people were really lovely. Food was good, although a new menu (third in a year) so they are still working out what works and what doesn’t. The rib dish was lacking flavour, the meat was cooked perfect but veggies were really bland and didn’t really go with the dish. The Gnocci was beautiful. We are Accor members so we were happy with the price we paid, perhaps if we weren’t members I wouldn’t rush back.
Atelier was by far one of our best dining experiences in Sydney. Without exception the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The menu was varied and the wine list extensive (with the bar conveniently located next door. I highly recommend Atelier to anyone seeking a very special dining experience!
Service and food quality were excellent. Staff are very friendly. I would come back with my whole family again.
Lovely atmosphere, however didn’t appear to be a busy day but the wait for lunch was somewhat long. There were 4 of us - 3 had barramundi which was lovely. I had the hamburger which would have to the worst I have had in a long time. The beef pattie was dry and lacking flavour, the contents of the burger and flavour was so bland. I believe I could produce a better burger than what was served - disappointed.
Very spacious and cosy environment. Unfortunately the chairs are not very comfortable and their styling is not as elegant as we had expected. We sat at a table by the window but the window view was blocked by a thick window pane. As regards our 4-course Valentine's day special dinner, the "fusion" food did not always taste nor present well. It was often too salty, and the lamb cutlets were overcooked. Service is also a bit below our expectation, leaving us an impression that it was delivered nonchalantly. Overall it was not good value for money.
The Crab was amazing. The main course 'Ribeye' was also delicious but some of the vegetables on my husbands plate were undercooked....I understand that chef prepares 'Al Dente' but the sprouts were raw. I didn't understand the half lemon & garlic on my plate. Couldn't eat it, so why put on plate? Add a small salad/mixed vegetables instead :) Dessert Creme Brulee was lovely but Lemon Myrtle was very tart. Had trouble finishing it.
We went there for the first time to celebrate our first year anniversary. We are hoping that they will put us in a window but nothing. I specifically put that note when I did my reservation. They put us in the back corner. Service was good. The prawn needs seasoning. Rib eye steak beautiful and Barramundi was beautiful with the wasabi. Butter was beautiful i loved it. I just wish they offer more bread and butter. The food came out quick also.
Our experience at Atelier was poor, certain staff when asked a question it came across as though it was a chore to explain it to us. The menu was changed which we were surprised since we were expecting French Mediterranean the menu was not updated on their website either and what we received was NO Flavor and certainly not French Mediterranean cuisine, it was more catered to Asian which we didn't come for. Overall Very Disappointed and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone at all.
We booked the restaurant for a regular weeknight and was very happy with the professionalism and service. Service was spot on and we mentioned that it was our anniversary and we were provided with some complementary desserts which was a lovely touch.
Wemt for a special occasion
Greeted at the front desk, at the time of our reservation, we were told that our table wasn’t ready and to go to the Champagne Bar to have a (non-complimentary) drink - I thought this was in leiu of the delay. Then, when we asked one of the hostesses (black dress, white top), whether our table was ready yet, after being at the bar for 20 minutes, she said “I’d check for you but I’m just way to busy to do that. Go ask them at the front or just go”. To our amazement, we began to leave and then she raises her voice at us as we walk out, and she laughs and says “I don’t have a name tag on so it’s not like you can report me”. She was a younger American girl. Blonde hair. I was absolutely disgusted. Then once we got to the table, we were sat down and not attended to for about 15 minutes. Once we did sit down, Eggis (waitress) was very accommodating and attentive. It wasn’t until we paid the bill that we noticed that she ordered the wrong ‘grams’ of steak. The atmosphere was very standard, and staff looked either inexperienced or just surviving the ‘chaos’. For example, when we asked for extra butter for our bread, the waiter (not Eggis), went to another table and took their butter! Maybe this was because we were sat next to the kitchen, which made it harder to hear each other. However, despite this touch and go experience, the food was absolutely impeccable! The steaks were absolutely breathtaking. I cannot stress that enough. The only disappointing dish was the oysters - they were the driest I’ve ever tasted. No dressing. Nothing. It appeared as if they were freshly thawed.
Good food and great value for accor plus members.
Drinks from the champagne bar were lovely. Unfortunately the food was a little disappointing we ordered the steak riverine and that was done well but the beef rib was soggy and lacked flavour we had to send the potato fries back as they appeared very white and flour and not cooked very thoroughly. Do appreciate that service was friendly however will not be likely to return.
Not enough varieties to choose, limited choice of food. Extremely expensive dishes throughout the menu, especially for lunch. I don't think we're going back there for lunch, thank you for the experience.
Beautiful service Lovely food
Great staff great food great view.
Only criticism would be that waiter recommended a special cocktail not on list that ended up costing $35. I don't think we would have ordered that if knew it cost that much. I think he should have advised us of the cost
After researching top restaurants in Sydney we picked Ateliers on the reviews written. We took our friends who were visiting Sydney from Estonia and we were all very impressed. We are all seasoned travelers and have been to many restaurants of this standard throughout the world and Atelier did not disappoint.
$18 for a kids meal is very expensive for Sydney. Would be good if the $18 meal came with a drink and dessert. The food is great value for money if you are an accor member. Would be quite pricey if you weren’t a member.
I have dined at Atelier twice now; the ambiance of the restaurant, along with the great staff make it a most enjoyable experience. We particularly like having Eggis serve us; I can tell she truly takes an interest in the way she presents. Impeccable manners and knowledge of each dish.
Alicia was our waitress. We loved her. Food and service were top notch. Room is stupidly designed with a kitchen blocking the view.
