The venue is nice. The view was reasonable as I did ask for a window seat and it is not as nice a view as from the bar but O.K.You do need an Advantage plus card though and I did have to ask the waiter to top up my wine.

An amazing evening with my friend visiting from Melbourne great service, the food was great and atmosphere quiet and lovely.

This was a very disappointing and overpriced meal. Prawn Ratatouille needs to have more than 4 prawns, 1 bean cut into quarters and one baby squash cut into quarters to be classified as a main. It also would have been good served hot!!!

From the Entree nothing really appealed to me and the serving size I had I would deem sampling size. Mains should have at least 2 sides to accompany the meal through and not an additional cost.You offer a traditional Bouillabaise without fish??? Seafood platter unavailable due to unavailability of produce ,

The food was presented beautifully however it took an age to get there - when we made our booking we were given a 2 hour dining period as a condition of booking which was over by the time we received our main course - which turned up without one of the sides that were ordered. This wouldn't have been an issue had we have been able enjoy some drinks whilst waiting for a meal however our waitress who was lovely seemed to be busy setting tables and doing other chores around us (and other patrons) leaving us all feeling a little neglected. I had much higher hopes for Atelier and I would have trouble recommending them to anyone or going there again unless they lift their game

We have been for dinner a few times at the a Sofitel and stayed there on the opening weekend. On all occasions the meals service etc in the restaurant were outstanding. On the most recent occasion it was a very different experience, which was mostly negative. Firstly our original booking changed from 7 to 7.30 - which was fine. When we arrived at the restaurant our table was not ready and were asked to sit in the bar. When we were waiting in the bar we received another email to change our booking to 8.15 then, 7.45 then 9.00. These emails arrived in within a few minutes of each other. Anyway moving on we were seated at our table and were asked if we would like water. we must have waited 20-30 minutes before we ended up calling a waiter over and ask for our water and some drinks. We ordered for entree to share the seafood boullabaisse ordered with prawns only and no mussels. It was delivered with one prawn only and garnish. The barramundi for main was cold and had no flavour had to send back Sadly the potato frites were the best part of the meal We were given a free drink and entree but didn't make up for our substandard meal. We had to stop at McDonald's on way back to hotel as we were still hungry. Meals at Novotel are outstanding, delivered quickly and with outstanding service, and also cheaper. As stated the meals last time at sofitel outstanding. We don't understand why the difference - appeared to be understaffed. We spoke to the person who appeared in charge on the night. We were excited to try this new French restaurant, for the high price tag the foods were under delivered, everything was under seasoned, service was average, we havd to constantly remind the waitress fir drinks etc...nothing to wow about. definitely not worth the high price tag even after the accord card discount. Was disappointing I'm afraid!

The tomohawke was absolutely sensational and I would book again just for this, however on 3 seperate occasions we wanted the seafood platter, the first waiter said customers didn’t like it, the next two times the chef wasn’t happy as it was not fresh..... How on earth being so close to a harbour could the sea food not be fresh. My recomendation is turn the restaurant into a grill as whoever grills the steaks knows there stuff :)

Service was very bad you could get bettet service at outside restaurant.. was waiting for dessert for over 40 mins and when it came out it was tasteless! Went back again next night my steak was way over cooked!! I have no no idea how could you run a restaurant like this? Staff knowledges about menu and drinks were not good enough they didn’t know wha exactly food or food were!! Overall we spent so much money and got bad service and food, It’s totally unacceptable!! Don’t think I will dining again!!

The dessert menu is largely not gluten free and any patron seeking to vary the glutenous items is met with a strict no. The entree and main course menu is largely gluten free and patrons seem to be more empowered to vary the gluten-containing items.

The waiter only came to us when we needed to order and clean our plates. Never came back to take a drink order when he gave us our drink menu separately. Steaks were not cooked the way we wanted and the fries were cold. No hospitality what so ever. The restaurant didn’t even look busy. Very disappointed because we were celebrating our anniversary.

Service was pretty bad. We had to wait for 15 minutes at the lifts even though we a reservation. The waiter was very polite but did not know the menu or available drinks. I had to keep asking for water to be refilled on the table. The food was mediocre and we got the impression that the restaurant tries really hard to be a fine dining place but didn't quite achieve it. Don't be blinded by the pictures, it's on level 3 with no view over the harbour...

The waiters didn't know anything about the dish and when it was presented...a simple descripyion that 'here is your prawn dish' which it meant to be seafood bouillabaisse. By the time the dish was passed around it was cold. The duck main dish was cold and not tender. The waiting at reception was long. Though the waitress was friendly. The next morning we planned to have breakfast, the queue to get in was longer than a supermarket check out so we gave up and left the hotel without breakfast.

We came to the restaurant to celebrate mother's day with high expectations however was really disappointed. First there was only one staff near our table seeving more than 20 tables, constantly waving for her to come to us to take order. Main course took more than an hour, without the sides. Sides arrived when main almost finished. Steak was overcooked so one side was burnt and we could taste it, chicken was undercooked so it was pink near the bones. When we complained to the "section manager" her response was "Thanks fir letting us know". Well done!

Following a recent review - admittedly very critical - we were invited by the management for a second visit. I won’t comment again on the design, atmosphere etc as out opininion regarding these matters, remains unchanged. Food had markedly improved with the new menu. Admittedly we had only main course and dessert. My wife described the Barramundi as ‘superb’. Still it could have been a larger portion, especially considering what a man would think of the offered size. The rib-eye steak was superbly cooked, exactly the way I asked. But surprisingly for this type of cut, it was too tough. Chips were again excellent. The caramel dessert really impressed my wife. The cheese platter was very nicely presented with a good variety and impressive quality of cheeses. The service was indeed outstanding and Cao and Iris exemplified the very best qualities in service. The views are marvellous. We would happily visit again.

Only complaint is the use of piped music throughout the hotel. When I dine I like silence I wear heating aids and find extraneous music to be invasive and often walk out of a restaurant if they can’t turn the music off. Fortunately the area where we sat the music was muffled But I do find this policy ofvloud pied music through shopping ventures shops restaurants and now hotels very annoying and complete invasion of the beauty of the surroundings. As an Accor member ever since it began in Australia I am disappointed that your hotels have succumb to the nightclub atmosphere of obligatory music. What about returning to no music policy??! I was hoping to bring my family to a buffet mid morning Sunday but as we can’t book and the music is so loud in some area of the restaurant I fear I will not be able to enjoy the experience. We usually go to the Westin Mosaic and never have this issue Meal costs were more expensive than other hotels I use. But the view good service and atmospyMUNUS music would have been perfect Please respond Thank you Jennifer
