About Asian Market Cafe
Back with a new look and feel, the refreshed interiors of the well-loved Asian Market Café are inspired from the black and white charm of Singapore’s historical colonial-style homes.
Tuck into a glorious buffet spread of local favourites and contemporary regional delicacies which showcases the authentic Halal-certified pan-Asian cuisine.
This sumptuous buffet which reflects the colourful diversity of flavours and cultures within the region is complemented by live stations and exciting DIY dessert stalls that will keep diners coming back for more.
Always enjoyed eating there
There's a lot of variety of food to choose from, although it is halal and I have a small appetite. Will be back and jio my halal friends as well.
Laksa station should deploy 1 staff to cook and served
Food are well spread
I think on the whole, the buffet spread at Asian Market Cafe seems to have shrunk a little. There were more food for dinner before like crayfish etc. Cost cutting? The durian puree I recall also had more durian fibre and it tasted really like eating the real thing. It's what brings me back to AMC time and again. The one I had on 10Nov for dinner was more like durian paste. It was also I think too sweet. The chilli crabs were too dry. I think there should be more chilli gravy which adds to the taste and flavour of the crab. Unfortunately, there was too little to dip the deep fried man-tou in. Cake spread was too small. I recall there being more cakes (chocolate, cheese cakes) instead of kueh-lapis and lots of it. Towards the end of dinner around 9pm, the vanilla ice cream had run out, and was not replenished. I stayed till closing at 10pm, but could not try the vanilla ice cream. I had ordered non sweet teh-tarik. However, when the tea was served, even though I had not added any sugar, it tasted very sweet.
My family and I had a great time! Many thanks to the waiting staff, especially Steven, who were very attentive and cheerful to my bunch! Even the crew at each station where wonderful! Great team great food! P.S. All of us agreed that the coffee was too bitter. May be it’s the type of roast used. Otherwise very happy with rest of food/beverage.
Nice variety of food!
The newly renovated Asian Market Cafe sees a new and improved menu. Food quality is much better than before and there's a wide variety too. Staff were attentive enough, clearing our empty plates promptly, despite the huge crowd. I was using the amex 50% promotion so its definitely value for money.
Never will I want to come again! Both cold and cooked seafood wasn’t fresh at all!! You don’t taste the sweetness of the seafood! The only nice food was the prata station which is totally not worth the price I paid for!
The roasted chicken & duck were very dry & hard. Most of the foods taste were not as good. Only prawns on ice were very good & staffs very friendly & polite
I am very Impress with all your staff there. They are professional and always wear a smile on their face even in chaos .Kudos to your staff .
Everything was great from the food and atmosphere.
Overall pleasant dining experience. Replenish for some items were a bit slow. Crabs quality is not very good as it was not fresh. Appreciate the complimentary birthday cake presented. Thank you!
nice pls to bring family and friends for dinner
I thought food quality was pretty average for a high end hotel
I was there for Dinner with my family on Mon. And there was a Long q for prata Station. Had to wait for more than half an hour for my prata to be ready. I could see Poor Chef was doing it all alone as best as he could one at a time.
It has more varieties of food now but certain dishes are not so fresh. Overall, it's still acceptable given the price for one for one promotion.
The new layout of the place was done nicely and was an improvement to the previous layout. Food choices has also improved and allow for more options for diners. Will definitely return again.
Nice local food.
Great prawns and sushi
Nice food spread & attentive service
The service from staff and the ambience was excellent. Was disappointed that there was no Vanilla ice cream offered at the dessert corner. The food variety was limited for the price paid.
Very expensive for the price of $300.15 for 3 people. Not much variety of food. The service is not to the standard. Imagine not offering 3 bowls to wash the hands for eating the crab. I have to asked for another bowl as we are 3 people, so you are expecting the 3 people to share the bowl. Cannot even give 3 bowls. Or it’s an extra charge for the bowl to wash the hands?
It's always the same old food and dessert. Perhaps can hsve a slight change e.g hokkien mee, popiah, tau suan etc. Also please reduce the sweetness and salty.
