About Aqua Restaurant
Seriously good food in a room with a view sums up Aqua Restaurant. Overlooking Howth Sound on one side, the island of Ireland's Eye on another and the bustling Howth Harbour on the 3rd side. This first floor restaurant offers the best seat in Dublin. Seafood is a specialty being a coastal destination but there is lots to choose from on the varied menu to suit all tastes. Howth village is a 25 minute train ride from the City Centre or 30 minute drive. A breath of fresh air from the City, there is lots to see and do, stunning walks around Howth Head, a thriving market, museums and even a local road train to visit all of the highlights. A perfect afternoon retreat in Dublin.
Totally enjoyed with my friend, we'll be back again
Fab dining experience as always.
A beautiful restaurant with the most amazing views, food, service and atmosphere. It ticks all the boxes for me. I would highly recommend Aqua.
Excellent service and fab food
Accueil parfait, très bel endroit et plats délicieux
I ordered cocktails right after I ordered food (literally 5min later) and mentioned to the waiter that I would like to enjoy the drinks first and that there was no rush on the starters. We got our starters withn 15mins and then cocktails arrived right in the middle of it... then after 9.30 we were really under the impression that we were under pressure to leave ASAP... a bit disappointing for a place with such standards
I felt that we were paying more for the view +which, I admit, is fantastic) than for the food. You can find better quality of food in the same street at a lower price.
Very enjoyable lunch great service and atmosphere
Excellent atmosphere and quality food. Kind and attentive professional service. Food is always amazing and the restaurant has outstanding views. It is our favourite place to dine in Howth.
Four different waiters, Fries where unedable with my lobster , quite expensive for what it was
Good food and lovely surroundings and atmosphere. Pricing is fair and service is very good, staff are very attentive and kind.
Excellent venue and superb service from every direction in the restaurant from start to finish. Just a shame we have to fly to get to you.
From the moment we entered the Restaurant we felt welcome and comfortable. The Prosecco in the bar was a delight. The service everywhere was second to.none. Well done everyone. What a wonderful gift to give someone. Thank you.
It was brilliant,a real treat. Thank you.
Great experience with a calm and lovely view to the sea.
We were a party of four, two of us had been to Aqua before but this was the first time for the other guys who when we left said they were definitely going to be back with either family or friends or both! Why?...well the location is the best...we were sitting by the window so you are by and over the sea...it is simply stunning but add to that the food was delicious, perfectly cooked, great portions and very good value...finally the service was attentive, warm but not overbearing or intrusive. Aqual has been a favourite of ours but we had not been for a while, it did not dissapoint and we will be back again as well.
Lovely food, great service, disappointing table.
We always have a lovely meal at Aqua, but Saturday’s lunch for my Dads 80th was outstanding. I couldn’t fault, from Monika’s fantastic communication to Tomas excellent Organisation and of course the food itself. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon.
Service was quite slow. My wife ordered he fillet steak and it didn't meet our expectations. The steak was very soft and squishy and didn't taste like well done fillet or fillet. She left most of it and we noticed that the woman beside us also left the majority of the steak behind. I ordered the Halibut which was very good though I would expect this for a fish restaurant. We didn't make an issue of it however it was disappointing.
Amazing as always. Our waiter made the day!
I expected more from the place
I have been a customer on numerous occasions and I must say this was by far my worst experience. Our booking was late on a Friday evening and I got the impression we were getting food that hadn’t been used during the day. The crab claws were very small and calamari was disappointing.
Very nice setting, great location, good service. Well presented dishes and good advice for the choice of wine.
We have visited Aqua a few times for lunch & thoroughly enjoyed it which is why we come back. But our dining experience this time was just ok, food was of good standard but service was off. This being said we can not fault the female front of house manager, she was and always has been a pleasure whenever we visit but she was looking after another section of the restaurant this time. The focus in our section was quite obviously on a group booking who seemed quite familiar to the restaurant or some staff. From trying to get staff attention throughout the meal & even when trying to leave the restaurant & get our coats we had to push through the chef & other wait staff who were too busy dealing/chatting with the ‘group’ in reception. I’ll give credit when due but just felt I should mention this particular experience as I’ve had so much better from you.
