About Applegarth Farm
Our restaurant has a relaxed and unique ambience. We welcome and cater for all the family. We start the day with a delicious selection of breakfast dishes. For lunch our masterful Chef has created an array of seasonal delights, these are updated regularly to ensure the freshest of ingredients. We serve light bites and salads, main courses if your hungry and daily specials, but if nothing takes your fancy, take a plate to our deli counter and pick your own bits from our wide selection.
Dinner is served on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm, at this time we go up market and adorn the tables with cloths and candles. With our evening menu the Chef has really surpassed himself, the selection is more refined but the standard is elevated.
Our highly trained barman love making cocktails, serving you with personally chosen wines to complement your meal or just making you a freshly ground coffee of your choice.
You can pre-book full afternoon tea from 2.30pm-3.30pm or just pop in anytime for homemade cakes and a drink.
Our decor is rustic and slightly shabby chic but in no way intimidating. In summer, enjoy our outside decking area and pergola, whilst appreciating any warm summer weather that might come our way, both areas are sheltered from direct sunshine (or rain!)
We had breakfast on a very cold day but were cosily warm in the restaurant. Breakfast itself was lovely.
Excellent service and delicious food. Very impressive.
Great food and service. Was a little bit quiet and would recommend dimming the lights a br in the evening. Still would highly recommend
We had a lovely time thank you. The table looked really pretty and the food was delicious. Really fantastic value for money. Service was really friendly too.
We were a group of 8 all with babies and the staff could not have been more helpful. We all really love this place and will continue to visit time after time. Thank you
Just love eating here!
The roast meal we had for 9 people were all delicious
My husband and I had such a fabulous lunch at The Applegarth. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming and it was a very relaxed environment. The rib eye steak just melted in the mouth. We will certainly be revisiting with our friends and family. Thank you to all the staff for making our visit so enjoyable. See you soon xx
A superb lunch - My ox cheek dish was right up there with that which comes out of the kitchens of the very best gastropubs! Would highly recommend.
As usual Staff really pleasant and efficient and food first class. What more can I say?
Excellent as always.
Very enjoyable afternoon !! Will be coming back
The staff are very attentive and efficient. We meet up here regularly as we know the food will be excellent and a little bit different.
We’ve been coming here for years, and have really enjoyed watching the place constantly change and evolve. A hidden gem.
A bit draughty if you sit anywhere near the door during the daytime ! Excellent salads!
Tasty and well presented 'proper' food. Went for Sunday lunch for 4 of us, amazing roasts with all the trimmings and scrumptious desserts to finish with. Staff were attentive and friendly, an excellent meal.
Delightful setting, courteous staff, excellent food for fair price, value reflecting high quality ingredients and presentation together with unique interesting menu.
Love this place!
Came here in the hope of a light lunch (a 'posh sandwich' if you like!) but the menu seemed to only offer much bigger meals. Found the deli platter overpriced. Husband's cajun chicken had to go back when we discovered it was raw in the middle. My 5 year old wouldn't eat the macaroni cheese because of the presence of chives (I know you're trying to make it nice for them, but kids just want plain and simple!!). And - as someone who doesn't eat dairy products, I found the menu very limiting.
We were very lucky with the position of our table on Friday near the log burner so were warm but I have been here and been really cold when further down the room. Also in leaving it was dangerously dark outside, no lighting at all in the car park. Everything else was good.
Excellent food. Good atmosphere
Just lovely!! No other words needed !!
A fantastic meal that was beautifully prepared and tasted fantastic. Will definitely be coming again with friends. Thank you
Excellent food, nice atmosphere and lovely staff who provide a great service. Highly recommend.
