About Applebank Inn
The Applebank Inn dates from the early 1700s and is one of the oldest Inns in Scotland. It was originally built as an Inn for those travelling between Glasgow and Edinburgh and for locals who wanted to enjoy the stunning countryside along the River Avon.
Great food and location, staff were a bit grumpy
Found the dinning area a bit noisie as the bar is incorporated into the dining area. Would like to see a separate bar area.
Great wee pub, food nice and staff couldn't be more helpful.
Great night, lovely food, good atmosphere. Live entertainment was excellent. Cocktails would have finished the night.
As always the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food was lovely.
I thought there used to be comfy chairs around the walls where you could while away a chilly Autumn afternoon... Anyway, can't recommend the place highly enough.
Fab friendly service and food. Everyone welcomed our pooch too. Definitely one of our new places to eat
Very nice food
Can be a little pricey but overall a great setting and food.
I booked lunch for my mums birthday in the restaurant area (5 adults and a toddler) just want to comment on our waitress (unfortunately I don't know her name - short hair, tall and slim) brilliant service, so nice and helpful, great with my son, made our lunch her so relaxed, will definitely be back.
We waited an hour for two starters even though it wasn't busy and a further lengthy wait for our mains. The food wasn't memorable and quite bland. £10 was knocked off our bill after we complained. Not great after hearing it had won an award recently. 🙁
