About Anoki Derby
Enjoy the award-winning Anoki cuisine beneath the glorious gilded vaulted ceiling of the Old Picture House on London Road in Derby.
Anoki, the Urdu word for ‘unique’, opened its doors in Derby in 2003 and gives diners a true taste of the sub-continent, exuding opulence, with its lavishly decorated interiors, authentic recipes and traditionally dressed waiting staff.
Our menu offers an authentic insight into Indian cooking, taken from a rich and diverse culinary tradition. Each dish is created using the finest ingredients to ensure unique character and flavour – all in their own spicy aromatic sauces that promise an explosion of flavour with each bite.
We look forward to seeing you.
Good food and service, more expensive than most the only negative.
Fabulous dining experience. Lovely touch bringing the surprise birthday cake out for my son!
Really excellent food and top service. IMO the best curry in the East Midlands. Outstanding and I would recommend.
Best Indian restaurant in derby and I would come here everyday if I could! Especially for the butter chicken
Lovely eve. Food delicious. Service good
This was our first visit here and it was great - thank you for the extra touches to make the celebration of my wife's birthday even more special.
Lovely food and great value for money
Excellent service and food. Will be back. Can't recommend highly enough.
The food is always excellent but it was exceptional this time. Wonderful service as always. The Anoki is our favourite Indian restaurant. Great place for a celebration.
Brilliant friendly restaurant
The lamb curry cooked on the bone was very tasty, but had loads of bones in it..! and we were also overcharged on our drinks, it should have been two-for-one like the meal, The wall also where we sat was covered in candlewax which didn’t look very nice, bit of a shame really as the place has very good reviews..It let itself down a little that night, however what we did have to eat was very tasty and nice, But not quite the fine dining Indian experience we where expecting, for the price.
The dining room was much too cold, we almost put our coats on. The radiators were stone cold. I can’t understand why you would not heat the room properly, it meant some of the starters were cold.
Food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Loved the whole experience!
Lovely meal and atmosphere - as always
Great place to visit eaten here a few times always superb food and service hopefully it won't be too long before I visit again
241 deal appears to be a bit of con as the prices of most dishes are double to start with. Generally I found the process are lot higher compared to similar restaurants elsewhere.
Absolutely brilliant evening, lovely food and great service, highly recommend it
Very slow service. Menu was not very good. Food had no flavour just very hot. Will not be going again. Very disappointed. Was meant to be a lovely curry out with the husbamd as we don't get out much with the kids.
Never got asked if we needed any more drinks. Not offered dessert menu or coffee. No mints or towels. Took ages for the bill to come. Although main meals were great the service throughout was poor.
Food was lovely service was really nice but had to wait over 30 mins for someone to take our order but would recommend you to others
Great food, lots of flavour.
From walking in the door it's a great experience. Staff really friendly and very helpful. Food is really good. Lots of choice. Even off the menu they will try to make you something. Plenty of drinks on offer too.. 5star rating from me as its all it will let me give!!! Keep it up
We have been visiting the restaurant for a few years now, sadly the waiting staff seem to busy to ask for table water or any other drinks! The food arrived cold and not the standard we have had before! We won't be coming back
