About Anoki Derby
Enjoy the award-winning Anoki cuisine beneath the glorious gilded vaulted ceiling of the Old Picture House on London Road in Derby.
Anoki, the Urdu word for ‘unique’, opened its doors in Derby in 2003 and gives diners a true taste of the sub-continent, exuding opulence, with its lavishly decorated interiors, authentic recipes and traditionally dressed waiting staff.
Our menu offers an authentic insight into Indian cooking, taken from a rich and diverse culinary tradition. Each dish is created using the finest ingredients to ensure unique character and flavour – all in their own spicy aromatic sauces that promise an explosion of flavour with each bite.
We look forward to seeing you.
Thank you for your lovely food & service as always, and for making us feel so welcome with the baby !
Absolutely beautiful food, loved the spices and presentation was perfect.
A wonderful experience. Will be going again soon.
First class, as always !
The food is excellent, second to none, but it is getting expensive
Lovely meal, every course was beautifully presented. The service was second to none. Would highly recommend ! We will be back soon.
Fabulous food, venue and service.
Absolutely amazing food everything was cooked to perfection! I felt very looked after and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming i would highly recommend Anoki
The food was great and enjoyed by all our party. However, some of the dishes were too hot (temperature-wise) to eat for ages. In particular, the Hot Chilli Fish, whilst delicious, couldn't be touched for about 10 minutes until it had cooled down. Apart from that, it was a fabulous meal.
The food and experience at Anoki is always special. It is more than just a restaurant.
Very good food and the staff are great will definitely go again thanks for a great night
Always made welcome Always a great meal with great , friendly service
Good food but wasn’t quite impressed with service, telephone keep ringing and distracted Overall experience is fine but not Excellent
Fantastic food, friendly staff
As always the Anoki team delivered a friendly relaxed but highly professional service ensuring a great dining experience. The cuisine remains consistently the best and has never failed to impress - I attended with business colleagues and friends - all were highly impressed by the evening. Thank you all for your efforts, skill and attention to detail, all of which create the ever impressive Anoki experience. Kind regards, Andrew
Thank you to Abraham and the staff for making my birthday evening so enjoyable.
A very enjoyable evening, as is always the case with Anoki.
Very expensive for a Indian even a decent one. Tasted ok but there is better tasting for cheaper.
Not only did we thoroughly enjoy the high quality, tasty food but the service staff went over and above. I am sorry I don't recall their names but the guy from Egypt was so amazing, attentive and funny. Can't wait to go back.
I first came to the restaurant 15years+ ago when I was staying in Derby overnight and recently I am visiting Derby more often for work. I remember the food being amazing and the atmosphere really different. The food was nice and the restaurant still looks nice but the menu is quite limited and the prices are too high for food that wasn't as out of this world as I remember it. Wouldn't come again - colleagues in Derby can recommend other Indian restaurants less expensive.
Fabulous food in a fabulous setting. Highly recommended.
Excellent enjoyable evening, great food, wine and service.
we chose to stay overnight in Derby, on our way North, just so we could go back for a meal at the Anoki. Wasn't disappointed at all.
