About The Anchor Line Bar and Grill
The Anchor Line showcases the best of Scottish produce with influences from both sides of the Atlantic. Think fresh oysters, lobster and scallops, the finest scotch beef, ribs and burgers to die for.
There is an extensive cocktail list with classics lying alongside some of our own signature twists, and a drinks list with a strong whisky, bourbon and gin influence. We offer New York and Glasgow craft beers, and a wine list incorporating some of the finest that America and the rest of the world has to offer.
We are open for lunch and dinner, and with fantastic private dining facilities we combine a casual and welcoming dining environment with first class service and produce.
Set in the beautiful surroundings of the completely restored grade A1 listed Anchor Line building on St Vincent Place, The Anchor Line showcases the best of Scottish produce with influences from both sides of the Atlantic.
Lovely meal, great service!
It was my mother’s b. I asked for champagne to be at the table upon arrival, it wasn’t nor the glasses. Out of four meals two were steaks asked for medium one came rare and the other very rare. I persevered with mine not to spoil the occasion but my fiancé sent her very rare steak back in two pieces, having checked the cooking further. . The same steak was rreturned but only one piece! When mentioned to the server she went to check and came back 10minuted later with the steak on a side plate!, which my partner refused. Having dined here on many occasions and choosing it over other locations for a special occasion we all left appalled and disappointed
The food was amazing! Outstanding quality and presentation. The service was also spot on... efficient and friendly.
Our waitress offered excellent service, was attentive and pleasant and couldn’t have been more courteous.
Great service and food very good but really extremely salty.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff
Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at anchor line , such good value with an itison deal . We will be back again
Me and my fiancees favourite restaurant in Glasgow and yet again we enjoyed a lovely meal and exemplary service to match. Can't recommend the place enough to friends and family.
Amazing service, great atmosphere, brilliant food, due to this me and my partner had a fantastic weekend!
We had our Wedding Breakfast at the Anchor Line in a private room at the back of the premises. We could not have been looked after any better. From the time of booking, through the menu selection process, setting up the room and the event itself - staff went out of their way to be helpful, friendly and welcoming. You very much were part of and helped to make our day. Cannot thank you enough. Very highly recommended!
We absolutely loved the food and service we received at anchor line so much so I will be returning this Thursday! Had a wonderful evening for my husbands 50 th !!
My girlfriend and I were in for a meal on valentines weekend. The food, service and atmosphere were great, we look forward to going back.
Food was amazing and service excellent! Looking forward to coming back!
Fantastic service and food!
Very disappointed at being advised on arrival we had to give our table back at 9pm our booking was 7.15 so we had to go elsewhere for coffee and our booking was Valentine A La Carte
Great meal in a great place. Wonderful service
Fantastic food and amazing value. Service was good, but lots of different faces for different courses meant no consistency/raport, but I’m being VERY picky. Would highly recommend!
First time at The Anchor Line but definitely not my last. Had a great meal and really liked the restaurant and bar.
Will definitely be back again. Food was fantastic and service was too.
Excellent experience all round,
Atmosphere flat but this could be due to Sunday night booking.
We came for a valentines meal, our first 2 courses were great and we were having a lovely time. My wife then accidentally knocked her glass of wine causing it to smash. Our waiter offered to move us tables but aside from that there didn’t seem to be any reassurance to my wife or concern shown, instead my wife felt very embarrassed and awkward and we hurried our dessert (which wasn’t worth the wait as it had clearly come straight out the freezer) to leave. A replacement glass of wine given it had been valentines would have been a nice touch, especially as the spillage had been an accident. For the large amount of money spent we didn’t feel it was overall a great experience and so we unfortunately will not be returning or recommending the Anchor Line to anyone.
