Our ‘Trust the Chef’ experience, made up of multiple smaller courses is the perfect way to take a leap of faith. It has been Amisfield’s signature menu since the Bistro opened in 2005.

Food & wine pairings were wonderful. Would definitely do it next time we are in the area. The food besides being delicious looked like a piece of artwork and paired beautifully with their wines. I was impressed with the generous wine pours. Variety of food combinations was amazing. Only reason I rated the atmosphere lower was the tables were a little close to each other which took away from the intimacy.
Sent my parents as a gift and was the best dining experience they have ever had. The whole staff including the chefs went out of there way to make them feel special. Thank you to all of the Amisfield team.
Es war einfach ein tolles Erlebnis mit unseren Freunden im Amisfield zu Gast zu sein. Ein kreativ unkonventionell dargebotene, aber geschmacklich hervorragendes, 9 Gang Menü mit ebenso gut abgestimmter Weinbegleitung der Amisfield eigenen Weine. Ein Team aus Küche, Service und Somelier, das weiss was es tut und dies überaus freundlich und sympathisch. Wäre das Amisfield in unsere Geimatstadt Köln, es könnte zu unserem Lieblingsplatz werden
The staff in the tasting room and at the restaurant were absolutely wonderful! And the food and wone were great as well!
The seating was not special - with the constant flow of waiting staff going back and forward and kitchen smells wafting out the door. The first course of our 5 course took an hour to appear (3.5hours all up and that was with out a cheese board) - 3 of the savoury courses were VERY salty. the Paua was not subtle - all waffle the Duck was under done and revolting.(where was the Te Mana lamb?) the Zucchini bitter, and the deep fried desert was just tacky and overly sweet, no seasonal fruit, citrus or choc. I have had many degustation experiences and this was definitely the worst on taste. Presentation was fabulous, and the wine was lovely, although there was not discussion about matching with food when served. I wouldn't recommend the five course.
Good quality but highly variable dishes Dessert batter & minuscule melted ice cream was Doughie fatty & unhealthy Kingfish tasty but tiny pieces of fish Left from 5 courses hungry -
Compared with earlier experiences at Amisfield, we were disappointed because is seemed to be production line service and not geared for locals which is a shame.
We had heard great things and the experience confirmed it. We will definitely be back.
Another very enjoyable experience at Amisfield thanks. There was one dish that none of our group were enjoying, and our waitress was very good about it and replaced it with a dish we all loved. I call that exceptional service.

In a world where we are surprised less and less, this Restaurant offers an opportunity to just trust the chef to do the best he/she can with what is around locally. Of course, you would hope that there is variety every week, but we had a wonderful array of great southern produce and wine. Simply, delicious!
