About Amicus Restaurant Paul Street
Amicus Restaurant offers a casual dining experience in an atmospheric contemporary setting. Simple, straight forward dishes, fresh local produce, friendly service and a well-chosen wine list. The restaurant features a lounge/bar area that is popular with guests for pre-dinner drinks and also serves a selection of tapas. Fully licensed there is a great selection of cocktails, beers and spirits. Tea/coffee, snacks and pastries from our in-house bakery are available throughout the day.
We were here after my son's graduation from a Master's in UCC food was great so was the service. There was one Pint of Heineken in our drinks order which was off end of barrel which we returned and was dealt with promptly. We were offered a lovely Kinsale IPA instead. Sea bass and risotto particularly fabulous and so was the service. We will be back.
A great dining experience. Definitely go back.
We really enjoyed our meal , how ever my partner is a ceoliac and asked the waitress for the gluten free options available. There was no allergy signs on the menu. He was told the curry was gluten free. He ate nothing else after this . He was extremely ill that night and had a pain which indicates when he has eaten gluten. This must mean that your curry is not gluten free and should not be served to people who have asked for a gluten free meal and the staff should be more educated on gluten free and other allergies when people request these.
We had an amazing time, I couldn't say enough about the service. Aha and Tara went above and beyond! Well done all
your weird tall waiter with glasses hit on my sister. creepy enough.
I strongly recommend the classic burger! Delicious food
Our waitress was brilliant. Food nice
Had a beautiful family meal last night. Everyone in our group really enjoyed the food the atmosphere and the lovely staff. I would recommend to visit .
Great food and staff. Will return in the near future.

Delighted with Amicus , great selection and food , staff were brilliant , would recommend
Amicus in a great place to eat. It was busy but we were taken care of. The food was so tasty. I'm vegetarian and often have a limited selection in most restaurants. However there was plenty of choice at amicus. The seating area though is fairly tight I treid my best not to knock anything off of the table next to me. Overall a great experience and I will recommend Amicus to my friends and family.
Food really nice and value for money!!! Disappointed with the desert, that's was the only thing that let it down!!
I had reserved a table online-process very simple. On arrival, during lunch hour we were directed to our reserved table. Lovely lunch and my son was given a free cocktail (graduation celebration). Thank you! Beautiful decor and relaxed vibe with added value for money. Only negative was a preoccupied waitress who forgot the dessert order because she was chatting to another person at the counter for about 15 mins, so a passing waiter salvaged our dessert. In general all other staff were friendly and worked as a team.
I love amicus. The food is delicious. Great atmosphere. Great waiting staff.
Tables too close together could hear every word of next tables conversation..bad.
Lovely food. Chicken wings some of the best I've ever had
You will be able to read the review on Tripadvisor however in summary: - Asked for an extra chair, the manager (all in black, blonde woman) snapped at us. We were taken aback by how rude she was. "what do you want me to do? If you want another chair you can take it but you will be squashed and thats not my fault". Refused to move us also so we ended up having a very cramped brunch. - Wait time for food was significant - Food was very very average, a lot of us left hungry. Everything else I could get over but your management could do with some customer relations training or stress management training. Marked Service as a 2star because in fairness the other staff were doing their best under pressure.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere and the service is outstanding.
Pizza base was thicker than usual. So a bit disappointed. But the service was good and the places itself is lovely. Bit of a trek to the bathroom though.
