Altus offers an elegant, polished and welcoming dining and drinking experience. Inspired by the great wine and Champagne bars of the world, yet distinctly local in its menus, and undeniably chic in its interiors; Altus is an experience like no other. A destination equally suited for an after work drink, to a memorable high-tea or a relaxed dinner.
Thank you to Simon for looking after my group - service was great.
Quality of food was amazing but relative to other hi tea venues was on the pricey end.Venue was significantly understaffed but I wonder if this was COVId related
A beautiful space with world class service. Highly recommend
Thought was $79 per set, but it is $79 for each person, it’s too expensive and doesn’t worth at all.
Beautiful venue, we could of spent hours there just relaxing and eating!
We had to call over staff when we wanted tea, no one came and asked us. Also surprised we were told we had to pay for second hot drink. Staff however were very friendly and helpful.
Elegantly presented Rose High Tea served with a selection of teas - the Rose tea was beautifully scented. Included as a glass of Veuve Cliquot Rose Champagne. Savory items were delicious, my favourite being the smoked salmon on a rose coloured bagel. The sweet selection was amazing. The attention to detail from the patisserie chef was amazing and the flavours were on point. Scones were freshly made and came with the usual cream & jam but also a delicious lemon curd. Overall I highly recommend the experience.
Terrible first time booking, got cancel a day before for a birthday lunch 10pp. Very disappointed follow by promises free drink and again stuff up the booking with other restaurants at Chadstone hotel. Not professional and poor service
We enjoyed a delicious, beautifully presented lunch, surrounded by amazing views. The set 2 or 3 course was great value. Such a surprise in downtown Chadstone !! We’ll be back!!
Food was a bit overpriced, but quality was good but serving size was a bit on the small side.
High tea was lovely beautifully presented and delicious.Enjoyed the ambience and service once the Upselling greeting ended. 2 fish selections were a shame as I don’t eat fish I would say no fish if returning.Being greeted with you are paying this would you like to upgraded to this higher price I felt was very rude as I was shouting a relative and I know what I booked and will be paying and what was available . Upselling at first greeting is not appropriate perhaps ask during course of tea experience not as we dit down if you feel you must upsell!!
We had a wonderful dinner with great service. Thank you so much for the table cloth on the table, it made it so much more special an elegant. We will see you again Thank you Sofie and Les
We found the fixed menu was limited and assumed there was a a la Carte. The staff were great with my coeliac requests. It was a little annoying that the restaurant is open on one side and noise from a function room kept wafting in. Also the roses on the tables were very wilted and showed a lack of attention to detail.
We are Accor Members and really enjoy the service and the ambience and the food... Really friendly staff...
A nice day with family & friends in a nice hotel, restaurant, lounge bar. Very disappointing as 4 of the 5 plates on the table where dirty all 5 champagne glasses where dirty & 3 of the 5 cups & saucers where dirty & every time we wanted a drink we had to ask. Staff where friendly, nice, helpful.
This was the best Christmas present I have ever given to my Mother in Law. We had Jordin as our waitress and she was absolutely lovely, she was courteous and friendly and the service she gave us was excellent. I am giving our experience of High Tea at The Chadstone Hotel a 10 out of 10. The food was superb and the decor world class and what a view. I highly recommend this experience to everyone.
Service needs improvement, it was clunky and borderline laughable given the prices charged. Staff seem very inexperienced. Arrived 10 minutes early for dinner and was told the restaurant was not open for dinner service yet. The manager simply told us to stand and wait at the entrance of the restaurant rather than directing us to have a seat in the bar area which we found strange. Food was ok... but there are definitely better places in Melbourne to dine in this price range. They also overcharged us so please check your bill carefully.
Our first time staying in the chadstone hotel and made a reservation to try their restaurant out for dinner. My review of the Atlus restaurant varies based on a few themes and as such have reviewed it accordingly. Venue and ambience 7/10. The decor, paintings and attention to detail for cutlery etc is very nice, providing for a lux ambience and aims to also provide for a intimate setting. However the venue loses points when the table settings caters for both a casual long share table whilst the rest of the space is for 2-4 person tables. Our first impression of the venue was very intimate unfortunately a large group soon came and destroyed this intimate setting. I feel the venue is confused in terms of what setting it’s trying to accomplish and large groups are better served in a private function room. Service - 7/10 Staff are friendly and helpful, and presents themselves generally professionally. However overall it feels amateurish relative to a high end restaurant due to awkward interruptions, clearing of dishes and constant knocking of our table when serving other tables. Food and taste - 5.5/10 For entree we shared the zucchini flower. This was nice however felt a hint (or more) of honey would really complete the dish. For the mains we had the lamb tenderloin and beef ribs. The lamb dish was ok, but the meat was not succulent and more did not have a great mouth feel. In master chef terms there was no hero in the dish. My wife had the beef ribs and described the taste similar to what you get from a hospital. I’ve tried it myself and can concur with her assessment, probably more fair to say what you get from airplanes. The ribs is not on the bones and appears boiled with no flavor. Stay clear from this dish! For dessert we had the truffle chocolate cake. This was nice and served with walnut ice cream. Very rich and would go well with black tea. Overall I would still recommend coming here, particular for the ambience and at affordable prices but whilst food is overall not bad, do not have high expectations
Spectacular food for their Valentine's Day menu. An oyster drizzled with tongue-tingling, caviar to bring the taste buds alive, then an Entréé of choice. My zucchini flower smothered in creamed spanner crab was perfect! Another choice for main from Wagyu, Duck or Salmon, all three were delicious according to our table. I had the Duck Breast, with charred orange, carrot puree, palm heart, cherries, foie gras, and a sour cherry jus. Wonderful. To top it all off, the Chef's signature dessert was a delight. A share platter of chocolate truffles, Victorian Artisan cheeses, and delicious condiments. A wonderful evening. The restaurant is small, so book early. It's a great evening of food in a beautiful restaurant.
Good experience. The Chef is really nice and friendly👍🏻
Best high tea ever! Do yourselves a favour and treat yourselves.. you won’t be disappointed!!!
Lovely high tea
Lovely experience. First class service. All dietary requirements met.
